Fourth time here and once again a pleasant experience. Greeted with a friendly smile. Breakfast of eggs, pancakes, bacon and toast was awsome. Service was right on.

My son and I went in for a quick meal. I ordered a ruben burger and he ordered an omelet. The food came and it was OK — rather than a medium burger I got a rare burger but I can live with that. I wasn’t at all happy with the time it took to get the food. From the time I sat down to the time I got my food was 30 mins. I had to ask my waitress for the food and she told me it was in the windows. Sorry, but I can’t eat it in the window. Another pet peeve of mine is this… everyone else who was sat got pickles and cole slaw. We got nothing. To me that’s just rude. It makes me think they’re just not interested in having me as a customer. I know the waitress told me that they were busy. If I go back, I’ll be sure to ask what the wait time is. Give another star if you don’t mind waiting for your food.

I usually only get breakfast here, tried the turkey club and it was just okay. Service is also okay, the waitress is usually friendly but when it’s busy they’re a little slow.

I’ve been living in Centereach for a year, tried this when we moved. I haven’t had a bad meal here yet. Simple breakfast items are always tasty and hot, they have great gyro platters, sandwiches, etc. The staff has always been very friendly. It could use some updating, but other than that I am a fan.

LOVE the Suffolk Diner!!! Been coming here for years, almost always a table open & always good service. As a true Long Islander, I love diner food, and they don’t disappoint. I’m a sucker for breakfast food, cheeseburgers, and a good old grilled cheese delux-their’s is also great with tomato. The portions are big, the prices aren’t too high, there’s a lot of seating, and we always get treated well. Great diner!!! :)

Awesome non greasy WESTERNOMELETTE — not overcooked — just perfect and moist with just a couple slices of American cheese nicely melted inside. Ham and veggies all chopped very close to the same size… Fries(french) are exceptional — perfectly NOT overcooked and a little limp like I like them. I walked in and was sat immediately by the obviously GREEK owner. He was dressed in a sharp grey suit and tie, and was the epitome of professionalism. He could have been the Maitre’d at the Pierre hotel with how friendly and courteous he was. Just an AWESOME experience up front. Water was in front of me within 10 seconds of me being seated. Waitress came over and took my order within one minute. Love it when they call me Honey and are friendly like this late 40’s blonde was. I was sat in a small booth by the counter and she was coming by with coffee every 5 minutes. Was trying to kill some time in between jobs and she didn’t care if I was sitting for 30 minutes — the place started to fill up around 11:30am — but she never made me feel like I should make room. I only hung out about 5 minutes after I saw the place starting to fill up anyway. When I asked for the bill, I looked at it immediately and handed her a 50% tip right away. I don’t like to leave tips on tables in diners, preferring to hand them directly to my waitress or waiter. She said«really» and thanked me profusely. She was Very gracious and happy for the consideration. Another little anecdote: I had left my phone in the car and I had to go get it. To do this you must pass the front counter where the owner was hanging out greeting and seating. So I pass by him and he stops me and asks if «Anyone had come over to take my order» he was concerned that I had been waiting too long and might be leaving! HEHADSATMEDOWNLESSTHANTWOMINUTESAGO This is diner food, so not a life changing experience culinary wise. However, the treatment I received here was above and beyond what is expected at a «diner» and has turned me into a lifelong customer based on just this one visit. Bathrooms — CLEAN Establishment — CLEAN Food — CLEAN This place has my business every time I pass by and have a spare 15 minutes and the urge for a western omelette with fries.

Great for breakfast, friendly staff. All food is delicious . I especially love that the eggs don’t send me to the bathroom and the home fries aren’t burnt

Keep here for breakfast for a surprise breakfast date. I had been craving diner food! I ordered the belgian waffle and eggs, he ordered hashbrowns. I think I ate more hashbrowns than anything else! They were so good! My belgian waffle lacked warm syrup! That packet syrup just doesnt do it for me. My eggs were fluffy, cannot complain there. The waitress was pleasant and the service was quick. The place was not too loud as it alllowed for good conversation despite the crying children. I guess I would come back if I really had a terrible diner craving again.

Came in at around 10:30 on a Sunday. There was 3 or 4 other tables eating or seated at the time, the manager sat us and we received water right away. After looking at the menu for 10 or so minutes we still had not been greeted by our waitress, we waited another 10 minutes or so and still were not acknowledged. I’ve never walked out of a restaurant until this. I will probably never go back, I’ll stick to the Lake Grove Diner.

Came in on Saturday with the family all 6 of us. So far the milkshakes were a little underwhelming I was expecting a real milkshake in a silver carafe instead we received a glass with milky ice cream. The food was not great and to go to a dinner and spend $ 120.00 for a family of 6 was crazy. I have never spent that much anywhere I have gone. I was completely disappoint in my burnt over done chicken wings, almost hard as a rock. The kids didn’t even eat there grilled cheese it was so gross. I cannot believe that a dinner of all places would not only be so terrible, but so expensive as well. Well enjoy the $ 120 you got from me because it will never happen again!!!

The last few times I have gone here I was very disappointed, especially the last time which was my last time literally, I’m never going back. A couple months ago I got seafood and the scallops tasted like ammonia, I sent it back and one of the managers came out eating one of the scallops telling me they were fine, that’s just bad business. Last time I got nachos, I hope someone else tries them so they can see what they are serving, a plate of chips, melted cheese product in a cup on the side with a small cup of sour cream. Worst nachos ever!!! Horrible food, horrible management, high prices.

Used to come here back when it was called Centereach Diner. Oh those memories of drunken early morning meals after a night out! Pancakes! Disco Fries! As far as a diner goes this one has been here a long time. I dropped in today for breakfast while visiting family this weekend out here in the scary suburbs. Holy crap there is a lot of snow out here. I can’t wait to get back to Manhattan and normalcy. Going back to the diner. It’s just ok now, and seems to be lacking the charm I remember in the past. The service was nice enough, and the place was busy with plenty of seating. Bright and clean too. The egg white, spinach, and feta omelet I ordered came pretty quickly but seemed kind of flat and bland. Plus, I asked for my home fries to be well done, and of course they came half cooked. What is it with diners that can’t do home fries correctly, or won’t pay attention to your order? No one likes to eat raw potato pieces. I like my home fries to be a bit on the well done crispy side. Is that too much to ask for? I do have to say the coffee is pretty good here. For a suburban diner it’s good in a pinch, as I have visited better and worse out here. Not bad if you live nearby and don’t want to drive far. Three stars for my faded drunken memories of this spot when we got in all kinds of trouble in this place.

My favorite diner, probably ever. I don’t know if they just make the foods I like well or if everything is that amazing, but they keep my belly happy! Interesting bread basket. Good soups and sandwiches. Yummy breakfast. Nice dessert selection. Good service. You can’t go wrong

Was never impressed with this diner. The food is okay, but there has been number pus times I was charge the wrong price or got the wrong order. Also I noticed anything made with apples here taste horrible. I wouldn’t go here unless it was a last resort.

Breakfast the MOST important meal of the day and at a great place… Been going to this place longer than Unilocal has been around and I got to say the best thing that happened to it was Denny’s opening up in the next shopping center. Competition really brought out their«A» game; greeting you the second you walk in if they were not opening the door for you already, staff from the bus boys to the waiters/waitress all look clean and crisp, place and tables are well cleaned and stocked, food is brought out fast, service is snappy but NOT rushed, tables are cleaned but they don’t hover, another plus their booths are designed correctly and can actually fit a person larger than a pocketbook and not feel crushed. Of course the standard FREE refill of coffee and water on the table without asking, TV’s and WI-FI round out this home away from home now if only I could wear my feety PJ’s. The Challah French Toast Deluxe with ham, 2 strips of bacon, sausage link and egg with refill coffee $ 10.95 a great price for the food and service — never go to the competition, no need to any more. A note: on this visit asked for egg whites instead of regular egg(Yes I know I am the guy who orders Big Macs with a Diet) but they were a little runny but no worries ate them anyway.

We’ve only been here for breakfast,(my usual diner experience) and this place is great. It’s the typical diner menu, the service is excellent and the place is clean. A waiter with coffee comes around to each table continuously. I could have had ten cup refills if I wanted! The waitress checked on the table 3 or 4 times. Definitely would recommend this diner to anyone in the Centereach area!

I was craving a burger with jalapeños on it. I was disappointed to find out that they did not have jalapeños or any other hot peppers to put on their burgers. I find it hard to believe that a diner doesn’t have peppers. The burger was good but what good is a diner that offers 500 dishes without any peppers?
