The chicken here is adequate. At lease I can say that I would rather have this than KFC. Let me start off with the chicken. The fried chicken tastes better than the like one. The other hing is that I like the chicken epanadas. Only thing is that I wish it was spicy then I could eat those thing a lot

LOVE the food there, but we have a problem with their service 4⁄5 times of going there. Messed up orders, one time they had us waiting and waiting and when we go to ask what’s up, they«lost the receipt» for our order and forgot all about us… uhh what? Bad experience after bad experience, they are lucky that chicken is so damn good and we live so close by that we give in and go time and time again.

Use to eat at Pollo Campero when I lived out in Florida. So I came into try it and it was pretty good but just tasted a little different the staff was friendly but store was a little messy but not to bad. Hopefully next time it’s a better experience like when I tried it my first time.

I am going to give 3 stars overall. I definately give the food 5stars. It’s flavorful and delicious. Chicken is seasoned well and juicy. Better then KFC. The empanadas are to die for. But I give the service 1star. My issue is the customer service. Every time I go there. I always get a young girl at the register. She doesn’t seem to know what she is doing and barely speaks English. The management needs to understand. Not all your customers are of Latin descent. Not all your customers speak Spanish. Your cashiers should be fluent in Spanish and English. I don’t understand why i have to repeat my order more then once. Please train these girls on how to use the cash register. Also i do the surveys on the receipt. And they always give me a hard time about redeeming them. What’s the point of having the survey if you just give your customers a hard time about them?

Latino food chain Pollo Campero opens a new outfit in Central Islip. I’m happy to report it’s just as good as the Hempstead locale except they don’t have a salsa bar in this strip-mall location. Staff were helpful and friendly, place is brand new and clean. My food was delicious and very affordable. A very welcome addition to the area. Blows KFC away.
