Stopped by for dinner with my Dad on a Friday night. They were hosting some sort of wine tasting event, so the bar area was pretty full of customers waiting for the event to start. The bartender was also playing host and waiter, but he was really nice and was doing his best to keep up with us and a full bar of people eating and drinking. I forget what my Dad had, but I had a sandwich with roasted peppers, mushroom and some other things with a side of sweet potato fries. Really good! Dad got his meal and a beer or two, and our check was still under $ 30. Parking seems like a mess, but I’ll definitely be back for a casual dinner at the bar! The regular dinner menu in the dining area has higher prices than the«pub menu» though.

Enjoyed the food very much, and the atmosphere is terrific. My family and I felt very welcome here. The service is wonderful and the owners treat the staff well. Unlike other places I have reviewed, where the owners can be heard yelling and belittling the servers. I felt comfortable here, and so did my children.

The food is good but not great. The Ambiance is fair. Wait staff are routinely forgetful. Although well-positioned this restaurant can be driven by without missing anything.

Always pleased here with the regulars and specials. My wife’s favorite is the Vermont cheddar penne dish. Not lite on the calories, but what good dishes are?

We’ve gone for drinks, lunch, dinner and light snacks in the bar. We’ve always been impressed!!! The food is always ample and tasty! I love being able to bring home leftovers. The hubby and I love going to Borghi’s for date night!!! I’ve taken my boys there for their birthdays and they always do something special for them!!! This place is family run and owned and very family oriented!!! Thanks for all of the great memories!!!

ive been to Borghi’s twice and it was OK. We went for Valentine’s Day one year and it was embarrassing how young we were compared to the rest of the crowd. This establishment is definitely geared towards an older crowd. It could use some upgrading. Which brings me to the second time when we booked a section for my son’s baptism. There is not one changing table in that restaurant so if your kid has a dirty diaper you’re changing it at the table! The food was scent but pricey. Overall I don’t think it’s anywhere is go raving about but it’s not bad. They definitely need to modernize a touch if they are looking for a new or larger crowd.

On our way home from a visit to a friend’s which turned into an unplanned overnight trip, we drove back to the area earlier in the day and found ourselves to be ravenous. Brunch beckoned to me, and the sign boasting pancakes drew us in, like moths to a porch light on a summer night. Despite the interior being a bit dated we were met with great service, delicious drinks and fantastic food. I ordered a breakfast burrito(the size of an infant) which was stuffed full of fresh flavor, and the boy ordered fluffy pancakes which took over the I hate having to give this place one star. However, I’ve attempted to brunch here on a several occasions and been met w/problems, forcing me to take my business, appetite and money elsewhere. I had read that during the some months, they did not offer brunch every Sunday. One Sunday am, we called ahead to verify that brunch service was in effect and to see if a reservation was needed. The woman on the phone verified that they were indeed serving brunch, and that we did not need a reservation – we could head over. With an appetite for mimosas, breakfast meats and other brunchy goodies, we got in the car and made the grueling four minute drive down(I kid). We pull in, park *there were perhaps, 3 other cars at most* and walk up to the hostess station. We let the gentleman at the podium know that we were a party of two for brunch, when he delivered the news which may as well have been a brick to the side of the head, or a stomping on my tender, brunch loving heart. The man said that they were not serving brunch, but they had their lunch menu. Uh, what? I called less than 5 minutes ago and got a different story. I explained my confusion and was told that I was misinformed and that they could and would not be doing Sunday brunch that day. We left with broken hearts, empty stomachs and our head hung in defeat. and in search of another establishment to fulfill our apparently lofty culinary dreams. The next time, we again called ahead and we’re told that brunch was being served, so again with some pep in our step, we jump in the car and prepare mentally to crush some brunch(sometimes you’ve gotta psyche yourself up and prepare your tummy for a work out). We get there and notice people in eagles jerseys carrying in a spinning wheel of fortune like device with people gathered everywhere. I was wearing my Texans foster shirt, and immediately regretted my fashion decisions. .but hey, bacon doesn’t judge and I was ready to eat my fashion insecurities away, when we were told they were closed for a private fundraising/fantasy draft event. This time, I express my frustration to the host, and explain that this was the second situation where we were given the green light for brunch by phone and given a different story upon our arrival, mere minutes later. We were told we would be able to receive brunch service at the bar area upstairs, as the group only rented the downstairs areas, so up the stairs we trudged, a bit annoyed but ready to let champagne dull our annoyances and to soak up our frustrations with fluffy pancakes and syrup while moving past this. We were in! We’re good to go! Not true, we were lulled into a false sense of security just to be torn down once again, like an overly desperate paramour fawning over a love that wasn’t meant to be. We get to the bar, which has some event gyests gathered around the full length of the bar. We stand there for a few moments, passed by staff and the chef several times without acknowledgement. I felt like Harry Potter with the invisibility cloak, taking in the hustle and bustle of Hogsmeade. Except, this wasn’t magical. I was getting Hangry. A few people cleared out, we approached the bar and got the attention of the overwhelmed bartender who was singlehandedly serving a bustling crowd. We mentioned that we had been told we could order brunch and sit at the bar, when she told us that we could not. She said that the bar was closed to all with exception to those with the group. She then turned and walked away, continuing to grab Lagers and drinks for others in attendance. What. The. Hell. We tried to mention this to a member of the wait staff, who said that they weren’t sure of anything other than of the event that had apparently closed down all of Borghis, and made no effort to find anawers. Again, we walked out, without growling stomachs and crushed spirits. Since then, I’ve passed by and for a fleeting moment considered going to Borghis for brunch, or dinner(they apparently have a pub menu which looks good) but after being treated like my money was no good and being shown that their priorities were elsewhere despite staff providing inaccurate information, repeatedly I will NOT be going here under any circumstances in the future. We aren’t disheveled, or smelly and my money is just as good as anyone else’s. .treat us like it, and don’t alienate community members and people who could become good, loyal customers.

DONOT go here. The manager is obnoxious. I will be sure to tell my entire family and all my friends that this place is a no-go — if your representing staff can’t address concerns with professionalism and instead with screaming and yelling, they aren’t worthy of anyone’s business. AVOID.

Delicious! Low key, good menu options. We got the breakfast burrito and the sliders. So yummy. Special shout-out to the home fries and the scallion sour cream. Out of this world.

Dinner last Saturday night. 6pm. Only one other table occupied. Server very pleasant, but was doing double duty as bartender. Not a speck of food hit the table for ½ hour. No complimentary bread. Nothing. Seriously, $ 7 for a small draft of Blue Moon? Exterior of building looks great from a distance, but really needs work. Interior dated. No handicapped parking. Food from Pub menu just OK. Bottom line. It’s a place we’ve passed very often and always said we should try it. But we won’t go back. Overpriced. Slow service.

First time eating at Borghi’s for lunch. Sat on the updstairs porch. It was a nice place to be, except for the construction traffic /trucks that kept going through the intersection. Cassandra was lovely. Very pleasant, but seemed to be the only server on, and was manning the bar downstairs as well. We ordered, and it took some time for the food to arrive. When it did, we were pleased. I had the southwest chicken cobb sandwich. It was fresh, and delicious. Note to self. Good food, nice location, pleasant folks, but maybe not for a «quick» lunch.

While I appreciate the history behind the building that this restaurant is in, I was really disappointed in our meal here. It definitely needs a décor update, very retirement home-ish inside and the foyer smells like a museum. I basically left there feeling ripped off. $ 80+ for dinner for two and absolutely not worth the money. We started with two cups of crab bisque, which was very bland and 95% broth. The bread they brought over was stale, like rubber stale. I got the special, which was crab/lobster ravioli. For a $ 30 dish, the presentation of the dish was really sloppy. Just a pile of ravioli with sauce dumped on top and a pile of cold crab meat on the side. For the money I was paying, I would have expected a much more elegant presentation rather than slop. My girlfriend had salmon off the new pub menu and the spinach it was served with was drenched in oil/butter, so much so, it look very unappetizing. The waitress was very nice and friendly but the atmosphere was dead and old. As I’ve said in other reviews, I hate writing negative ones, but I really felt ripped off when I left. If I do return, I’ll stick to the bar and the pub menu, but the dinner side of this restaurant is not worth it for me.

The was our first time time here. We were lured in by the sign saying they had a prime rib special. The food was very tasty but the prime rib was really rib eye steak and it was grilled. Service seemed rushed. I would give it another try.

Went to Borghi’s on a whim one night and have been back almost every week since! Everything is delicious from the salad to the dessert. Betty at the bar is the best! :) Last time we went they were shorthanded, and it was also right after the hurricane so they had thrown out a lot of food, but for all of the stress they were under, customer service was still 100%.

The three of us ordered the firehouse burger and thought it to be one of the best burgers we’ve had. Heat was just right not overpowering, burger was juicy and the bleu cheese topping just mouth watering. Seriously, one of the best burgers I’ve had? Better than Donovan’s? Lugers? I think it certainly, in my little world, belongs in the same paragraph. My mom gave the ultimate glowing compliment when she thought her Greenhouse burger was very tasty. This is from a polish woman who makes her own polish version of burgers called kotlety. I grew up watching her taste bits of ground raw meat to see if the seasoning were just right(she would mash it with her hands in a huge silver bowl). The only complaint about the food was made about the lobster ravioli. There wasn’t enough of it. The only other complaint was that it took a long time to receive our food. We were a party of eight but at one point I thought the wait was a bit too excessive. Not knowing anything about a place or it’s menu, convincing and then taking a chance with a group of people to give it a shot… enjoying the food… I’m glad Borghi’s knocked it out of the park.

We went to Borghi’s for my nephews Christening. The salad and the bread with the pesto were really good but the entrees were not. Everyone who had the fish(Tilapia) hated it. The people who had the chicken parm said it was good. The nice thing is that they accommodated me since I’m a vegetarian and made a special meal. The bad part is that it wasn’t good and I ended up asking for another salad so I wouldn’t go home hungry. I doubt I would go back here since there are a TON of different Italian options that I’ve had really good experiences at.

My wife and I were looking for a local place to have our rehearsal dinner for our wedding(June 2008). We went there for dinner, and to meet the owner and chef, Dino. Needless to say, we booked it with Dino. Food was great and we have been back a couple times since. We booked the room up stairs for a party of thirty. Nice room, with a private bar and balcony for the smokers. Unfortunately, my father was in a wheelchair, due to an accident, and we had to have it downstairs, but Dino took care of it… The there downside was that it was not wheelchair accessible, due to the old historic building… My boys helped the old man into the place and we were good to go!!! For the money, the food and service was top notch!!!

Yay! I am the first to review! Oh, I have such sentimentality for Borghi’s — so perhpas my 4 stars should not be 4 — but merely 3? But my(now husband then) boyfriend and I had our first ROMANTIC(third real) date at Borghi’s back in 2005 and the meal was great(and dessert was even better — hubba, hubba). We attempted to have our wedding rehearsal dinner here in 2008 but it was just cost prohibitive for our large group. Dino, the owner, was very nice to work with and I am sure this would be a great place to have an anniversary or birthday(special occiasion) meal or party. We enjoyed the veal chicken and pasta dishes we had(both back in 2005 and more recently.). My parents don’t really like it — they think it’s too expensive — but I say for a special occaision — Borghi’s is a great place. And it’s in the historic Chalfont Inn Building — which is easy to find.(Right on 202.) Please leave your young children at home.
