Bella’s is in the former Riverbend Bistro place in the same building as t the Palm’s casino. I believe the new owners are the same as The Plantation down past the Murphy refinery. The menu is a lot more casual than it was when it was Riverbend. There are a lot of Po-boys, Panini’s, salads and such. There are a few steaks, and other grilled entrees on the menu as well. The food is pretty good but it takes a while to get it. It just feels like it takes a lot longer here(as well as The Plantation) to get your food than most restaurants. That’s probably a good thing as they are cooking things to order but at lunch time, I gotsta get going! Speed it up a little and I’ll be back.

This place use to be Riverbend Bistro, and when you walk in its nearly identical to before. Our waitress was very nice and helpful, we were not sure what to get. She told us they needed new menus since they had a bunch of stuff on the menu they didn’t serve. Didn’t bother me i understand new restaurants and working out the kinks. We started off with Southwest fries, they were actually really good, reminded me of Outbacks cheese fries with the bacon and cheese. Came with some homemade concoction sauce that tasted pretty good. The salad was a little harder to eat, they were served on a small plate. It looked huge and probably was but when i mixed my dressing on it my greens started falling off. Good thing they put fresh paper on the tables, because i made a mess. I got the Shrimp Alfredo and she offered shredded Parm and i gladly took. I will say Damn very good, i like allot of sauce and i am glad i do there was lots of it. I also ordered a side of Mac & Cheese, i love to try every restaurants to know what type of pasta sauce and quality plus i love mac & Cheese. It was ok, it needed some seasoning or something was missing, the noodle was cool and it had lots of liquid but i would think a thickener was needed. My wife ordered the Shrimp Poboy, i stole one of her shrimps when she wasn’t looking and it had good flavor, but when i seen how few shrimp she got for the price it kinda sucked, plus the bread. I don’t know if they toasted it or had stale bread but one bight and bread crumbs everywhere. I love soft slightly chewy bread for my poboys. Overall the food was good, did seem a little over priced, i would recommend this place to others to try once, ask questions to make sure you get what you like.

This place recently changed owners. The building and everything is the same but the menu has changed. The food was good. We had the Southwest Fries for an appetizer. They were really good. My only complaint about them… too small for the price. They were served on a salad plate and didn’t even fill the plate. It also came with this really good southwest ranch that they made in house. I had a house salad with ranch and my husband had a caesar salad. The salads were mainly a big pile of lettuce too big for the plates so it was falling all over the table. My husband ordered the shrimp Alfredo, he liked it and said it had great flavor but the sauce was a bit too thin. He also ordered a side of Mac n Cheese to see how it compared to the other Mac N Cheese in the area. I found it very bland and my husband agreed, although we did like the type of noodle they served it over. We even added cheese on top and still found it bland. I ordered the shrimp poboy and a loaded baked potato. My poboy was $ 10 and about half the serving size of most places. The shrimp were pretty big sized and well seasoned but there weren’t many on the bread. The bread was over toasted and made a huge mess all over the place. I never touched my baked potato so I can’t even comment on it. My overall thoughts, it was better than Rocky and Carlos and better than Tony’s, but not as good as MiMi’s.
