Biggby Coffee

Came here out of desperation. Coffee tastes like burnt rubber yet costs the same as Einstein’s on campus… That’s a lot of temerity to charge the same prices as an on campus store with tastier coffee.

Michigan Cherry Mondays… Mmmmm. I used to avoid this place because it seemed too «fast food» like for me. However, when I’m on my way to work and I really need a quick cup of coffee, this is my go-​to place. The staff are so friendly and they don’t appear to hate their jobs in the morning, which will brighten anyone’s day. I haven’t had any of their espresso drinks due to an intolerance to sugar and I wish they had healthier food options.

This place is never busy, probably due to the fact that everything here is overpriced. The drinks are good and the staff is friendly. The pricing forces me to give this place 3 stars.

I am a former Starbucks barista and I have truly been blown away by the customer service and the quality of drinks at this location over this past summer (2014). Although the prices are very steep, the espresso is very strong (big plus for me) and the various flavor combinations are tasty and refreshing. They make a delicious Red Bull slushie, although it costs double the price of the amount they actually put in it. I truly recommend trying Biggby’s, their baristas make sure you leave with a smile and a delicious drink or treat, just be prepared to also leave with a significantly lighter wallet.

Restaurant review:
Great drinks, but expensive compared to starbucks. I can’t believe I just said that… I am new to the area and decided to stop by to get a frappucino equivalent. They have a larger selection of unique coffee drinks. The barista was super friendly and helpful even getting me a biggby card to earn for the next free drink. The cold version of the mocha with tax was 7 dollars + which I was suprised because I think the large version of a frap is approximately 6 dollars with tax included. The drink itself had a stronger coffee flavor. I believe the markup here occurs with the 50 cents more for frozen drinks. Overall good, but I don’t think I can drink here everyday without breaking the bank.

Obtain a biggby card and sign up online. Free drink on your birthday and also a free drink with every 11 purchased.

The drinks are pricey. This location is rarely busy, so that’s a plus. Plenty of tables to study or sit with friends. They have a few breakfast selections, like bagels and such. The staff have always been friendly.

Great coffee. The beans are slow roasted so no bitter taste. Plenty of seating. Great family place to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee or tasty frozen drink.
