50 West Armory

I stumbled into 50 West Armory at the end of October after hearing their ad on 106.7 The Fan radio station. Living in Fairfax, it was great to hear about a quality gun shop nearby. Didn’t have to waste gas driving out to Prince William County. I want to say I am glad that I stopped in.
Let me tell you, whether you are a novice looking to buy your first gun or a seasoned collector like myself, the staff at 50 West are great. What makes them great? They treat everyone that walk in with respect and like they are family. No egos, no judgement and no pushy sales people. John, Abraham and Ryan are all knowledgeable about handguns, rifles, shotguns. They are polite and take time to go over any questions you may have. I have personally purchased two handguns and a rifle from them since I walked into their doors. They even were able to sell one of my old handguns on consignment for me and got me more than I have pawning it or selling it myself. I have witness their outstanding customer service with me and others as I linger at the store thinking about my next gun purchase.
I would highly recommend them. If they don’t have what you need, they can order it and have it for you in a few days. Ladies and Gentlemen, if you are looking for a friendly, knowledgable and family owned gun shop in Fairfax County… No need to look any where else.

The customer service here is far better than most area gun stores. They are friendly, efficient, helpful, & never pushy. I would recommend this place to any type of buyer, hands down!

My first experience with 50 West Armory was at the Nation’s Gun Show in Chantilly on 11/​20/​2015. I was looking for a specific gun which they didn’t have (nobody else did either). They offered to order it for me and the price was reasonable. Picked it up a few days later after a quick paperwork/​background check.
While waiting for the paperwork to be processed, I was speaking with one of the employees (think it was Jon the owner), and was impressed by the knowledge about guns and various manufacturers. I’m a Sig guy, so he sold me on doing some trigger work for my pistols. Definitely will take my business there in the future.
Store is a little smaller than what I was expecting but they can get guns basically overnight. The selection they did have was pretty good. Seemed to be mostly Glock/Sig/S&W. I didn’t pay too much attention to the rifles they had on the walls. Like the other reviews, the staff is not the typical elitist/​ultra tactical/​military type employees. Some of the most friendly and easy to talk to gun shop employees I have met.
There is no reason why you shouldn’t make your firearm needs at 50 West Armory.

I’ve been in here just a few times, but each time everyone has been warm, welcoming, and not that typical gun shop worker elitist attitude that get so tiresome, we get it bro, you are ultra tactical and you so would have joined the military if not for x reason, but this still makes you badass.
Anyways none of that which is already a huge positive mark. The prices I have seen were respectable, and the gunsmithing prices were the best I noticed in the area, I just recently dropped off something to be threaded and will likely update once I see the quality of work. Its great to have a shop so close with the caliber of people they are employing.

Staff attentive and not jaded like a lot of stores. Prices on par with other area shops. I’ve bought a few guns from them now and a special order. Gunsmith also has done some work for me. Good shop.

They have a gunsmith on site and same day service. Pricing is inconsistent for smith work, but people are nice and helpful.

I went here to check it out for the first time while getting some pizza next door. The staff inside were very friendly and were more than happy to spend time with me showing, explaining, and educating me on different options. I ended up purchasing a Springfield XD 40. The price was great and I will be returning! They also offer training classes. Thanks a bunch guys! I highly recommend!
