When I’m at work and I can’t leave to get breakfast, Lafayette has my back and delivers the most yummy home fries and western omelette. I love this place!!! Thanks guys!!!

After an overnight job, I was STARVING and on my way to my regular day job. I was coming from the opposite side of Chantilly than normal & thought it was the perfect time to try Lafayette Deli. I’ve had this place on my radar for quite a while, thanks to Jodi C., just haven’t had a good opportunity to go check it out. I have to be at work by 7am so it is usually hard to find a good breakfast place on my way(other than fast food chains). Lafayette Deli opens at 6:30am and was already serving up a few breakfast dishes when I arrived at 6:37. Nice! I decided on the bacon & cheese 3-egg omelet, which comes with toast and home fries. When he rang me up, I was surprised… only $ 5.08! Keep in mind that there are no prices listed on their menu boards inside the restaurant. About 7 minutes later when my food was ready, I snuck a peek and was impressed with the portion size for the price! I took my food on the road with me so I could make it to work on time. After getting settled, I started in on my delicious looking meal. The food traveled well. The omelet itself was cooked perfectly. A «picky» note is that instead of incorporating the cheese into the omelet, they slap a slice inside the bacon omelet after it’s been cooking for a while and folded it in half — and this time they waited a tad too late to add it in, in order to completely melt. Not a big deal though… just my OCD in full effect. I put that omelet between toast and ate it right up! I must say, I’m a fan of their home fries. They were seasoned perfectly and included onions(although I could stand a few more onion pieces in mine). The potatoes were lightly cooked. It was good, but I think next time I visit this establishment I’ll get them to fry ‘em up for a few extra minutes to indulge my preferences. All-in-all, the food was not bad, the place was clean(although in a very random, business type of building suite), and the employees/owners were friendly. I’ll definitely be back at some point to try out lunch — probably a gyro. This will be the real test for me… hopefully then I’ll be able to have an even better judgment of the place and bump it up a few stars in an updated review!

I work near the Lafayette Deli, my office orders from there a lot, and I do mean a lot! Let me start by saying THEYDELIVERBREAKFAST! At least once a week we order in the morning, I am a fan of the omelets and my boss loves the hotcakes platter. The home fries are a little on the soggy side, but I tend to like them that way, perhaps it is because we order delivery and they have a chance to steam themselves in the little styrafoam box. The turkey club is my absolutle favorite thing here. I perfer mine on rye, and let me tell you, it is deli perfection. The french fries here are pretty awesome as well. On the days I opt for the lighter side, I go for the orange chicken salad. Don’t be fooled by the menu though, it says it’s served on spinach, but its not. I would LOVE if it was, but its plain old iceberg lettuce. You’re not going to get a 5 star culinary masterpiece here, but if you want a pretty good sandwich this is a nice alternative to Piasianos.

I work near here, so I’ve been to Lafayette a lot. The staff is very friendly. That being said… The food is just not that great. And the prices are outrageous. I got charged over $ 7 for a cold ham and cheese on a 6″ hoagie roll. The ham had to be the cheapest ham made on earth, definitely not a quality meat. The sandwich was mostly lettuce, and the roll was your garden variety Sam’s Club special. The people should visit Pica Deli in Reston and just do what they do. I think they are trying to make up for their lack of business by raising prices, not a good business model. Make good food and people will come. Or charge prices that are comparable to what you’re offering.

I ordered a Greek salad, but was not what I expected. The oil and vinegar dressing tasted awful, and instead of Greek olives, they put black cut olives from the can and they tasted horrible!!!

I have worked in Chantilly for a year and this is the only place I choose. Great service very fair prices. The gentleman who brings out the food could not be any nicer!!!
