food is great. . only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the service. very long time before getting menu. . then even longer for the food to arrive. . they need more folks working than the 2 they had tonight.

Best Phở in Northern VA. I’m pleased that they offer veggie phở. Definitely one of my go to places.

This place was voted #1 phở in the NoVa area so I drove about 45 minutes to put them to the test. PHO — I order a large. The color of the broth immediately caught my attention b/c it looked really light. My assumptions were correct. very tasteless. Broth, in my opinion, decides everything. The large is LARGE but for such a large bowl, I would of liked more meat. What I did like though were the people running the place. They seemed very humble and you can tell they really care about their restaurant. So you’re wondering how they got #1 best phở in the NoVa area. Sadly, most people are stuck in their«suburban bubble» and think whatever place closest to their home is the best thing they’ve ever eaten.

TL;DR — Great prices, good phở, even better Bun Bo Hue. Phở is made to taste, and what’s great about Phở 102 is that they leave lemongrass sauce and sate oil right on the table. You don’t even have to ask for it, so just dive in. Want that extra serving of sate oil? Be shameless, no one’s looking. The regular/small bowl of phở looks tiny at first, but it’s more of a meal than you expect. I think it’s a fine portion for lunch. If you’re extremely hungry, then go treat yo self and get the large bowl. What shines here though is the Bun Bo Hue. Not every phở restaurant serves bun bo hue but this one does. Never had BBH? Think of it as a dirty phở, with thicker cuts of beef, thicker noodles, and a lot more zest. It’s much more filling and satisfying than phở. The fried spring rolls are great too, thick and worth the price. The interior is a bit small so I don’t recommend coming here with a group larger than 8, and that’s pushing it.

A poem for my Unilocalers: «Best Phở in NOVA2015» Hm, I doubt it, but it just had to be seen. «This place has four stars.», so I was told. I didn’t care, I was just cold. The place was crowded for lunch. I knew this place deserved four stars, just a hunch. 10 minutes later I was still standing there The workers were busy, that’s fair. All I could do was just stare A SPINNINGPHOBOWLDECORATION Why, this is an abomination! The waiter was fast sitting me down with a drink. Gave me a menu and some time to think. Menu options were limited, but that is good cause dude, it’s called PHO102 not Phở, Rice-Dishes, Soup-Dishes, And-Every-Other-Vietnamese-Dishes-Under-The-Sun…102. My boyfriend and I got two phở bowls. Oh, and Summer rolls to fill our mouth holes. Noodles were cooked perfectly and broth was aromatic. It was pretty good, maybe even fantastic. I give the food a rating of 7.5 out 10 Hm, yeah. I’d come again. But for real though, only complaint was when a man carrying a huge tray with bowls of phở spilled some broth on the floor, he did not wipe it up. He was busy, I understand, but that is priority. Someone could have slipped and it just looks bad. Other than that, pretty good experience. They even have a website… how cool is that?

With the recent news of Phở 102 being donned the #1 phở place in NoVA, I was determined to see what all the fuss was about. Their phở was indeed solid. The broth alone was extremely flavorful and pronounced. I also ordered their Vietnamese iced coffee which was decent. I was surprised to see that it had already been mixed and poured into a cup for me since most phở places tend to serve their coffee differently. In regards to their service, I will express some displeasure in the fact that it took them over 10 minutes to give us our menus and water. I understand that they were pretty busy with other customers and that it was lunch time, but come on. People who had arrived well after us were already being served, and I wasn’t the only customer who felt that way. For those of you living out west aka NOT in Falls Church, Vienna, Tysons, D.C., etc., I think you’ve found your go-to phở place.

Saw this place on the top 2 phở restaurants in Nova so I had to check it out. I can see why now! Being Vietnamese, I’m extremely picky with my phở. This place totally pass my test! I’m willing to drive from Gainesville to chantilly just to get my phở to go. Delicious ingredients, legit broth, good price and good amount of food

MUSHYOVER-COOKEDNOODLES! Went here for the second time hoping the over cooked noodles was just a fluke last time but nope… once again… noodles that fall apart w chopsticks. Might as well just use the spoon only. But at least the summer rolls and crispy rolls are still the bomb!

I haven’t had Phở in a minute… As in MONTHS which is totally unlike me… So I decided on a whim to head to a phở spot I haven’t stalked… *que in Phở 102* I ordered the large #5(sorry, that’s all I remembered) and an order of the summer rolls… Those rolls were HUGE. I could have been satisfied with the rolls and took my fluffy self home… But I’m also a pig… So let’s finish up this review. The broth was flavorful perfect… What I didn’t care for was not enough meat and noodles. you could pay for extra meat. Who does that? I did have to ask for more condiments(basil, sprouts) as we were given a small saucer for TWO with enough basil and sprouts for one… I did ask for more and they promptly responded. Bless them. *I will remember next time to order more meat.*OINK* *SNORT* I’m glad we arrived a little early as soon the place was packed… And you may have to share a table… Sooo I will be back if only for the summer rolls!!! Didn’t realize how much I missed Phở until now… *I gotta do better*

Came here with my family on a chilly night and this place hit the spot! The portions are very generous, I got much more meat in my phở than I was expecting which is always a nice surprise. My mom got the shrimp phở and the shrimp weren’t deveined, so she didn’t enjoy hers as much. Service was alright(they’re not particularly attentive) but the food came quickly and was very filling!

I had takeout wings, spring rolls, beef phở and chicken phở. The wings were terrific. They are sweet and very garlicy with crispy skin. The spring rolls were also great. Crunchy and fresh with good filling and sweet dipping sauce. The Phở were also excellent. Great broth and good size portion of meat. I really enjoyed this meal and would order from here again.

This is a very solid phở place. I was very happy eating here and would definitely go back if in the area. I had the phở and it was quite good. The broth was delicious and it was served with all the typical phở items that you would expect and all high quality. The service was good. The interior was clean. The portions are huge. The prices are great. There really is nothing else you need for a phở place. If you’re in the area and craving phở, definitely check out Phở 102!

I’ve gone to Phở 102 twice now and it’ll definitely be a regular spot for me to order Bun Bo Hue. It’s my absolute favor Vietnamese soup and not many places do it well in the Chantilly area. I do enjoy the bowl served at Phở 98, but they only offer it in a large. Phở 102 offers a small size, which is perfect for me to demolish. The flavors are great and meat is nice and tender. It’s not exactly spicy, but I add sate and jalapenos to it. You can also ask for shrimp paste on the side. Be prepared for the stench, but it’s definitely worth it! I like that they provide a mix of add ons on each table, such as sate, lemongrass, and chili paste. Most establishments you have to ask for sate and sometimes they don’t even have it. Service is pretty standard. Nothing spectacular. The place is pretty small and it seems to get fairly busy. Overall, a solid spot to fulfill my bun bo hue cravings.

I would rate this place a 3.5. Food– I ordered the Bo Luc Lac. It was really good! Very flavorful and decent size portion. I really liked the fact that the lettuce in the dish is sauced with vinegar. It adds so much more to the dish. The beef was cooked perfectly. Service– Horrible. We were not properly greeted and we did not receive any service through out the entire dine in from our server. He only took our orders and that was it. We had to flag other servers to refill our waters and get us stuff that we needed for our meal. Establishment– It was a typical Vietnamese restaurant. Nothing spectacular or original. Which is fine. It was clean and near my house so it’s definitely convenient. I’ll be back. Despite the lack of service, the food was good and decently priced.

As a person who is actually Vietnamese — let me just say that this place is so good! The service was so good, they are friendly and attentive. I’m really glad I found this place rather than having to go all the way to Eden in Falls Church. I am extremely picky when it comes to going out to eat Vietnamese home because my mom makes really good Viet food at home. But I will definitely be coming back to this place if that says anything. My mom, sister and I ordered cha gio(egg rolls) which were good but nothing too special. We also got wings as an appetizer but they ended up coming out with the meal which was fine because they were so good and the crunchiness of the wings reminds me of bon chon. I could only eat 1 though since we ordered so much other food — I was so full by the time it came to the table. For our dinner we decided to just share a bunch of food. We got the bun bo hue which is a red soup with pig feet and they put Vietnamese ham in it as well. It comes with thick rice noodles which were really soft. We also had to get the phở regular size though because the phở always comes in large sizes as it is. I definitely do not think that the large would be something I could even get halfway through. The last dish we got was the com bo loc lac, which is diced beef that had garlic and onions cooked with it. It was sooo good. It’s laid on top of a bed of lettuce, tomatoes, onions and cucumbers as well as a side of rice. The beef was cooked perfectly and it had a lot of flavor to it. There is also a «Phở 102» challenge where you can get an extremely large bowl of phở like when I say extremely large bowl of phở I am not joking. If you want to really eat til you hate yourself… try it out! This is definitely a #1 recommendation for anyone looking for some good, authentic Vietnamese cuisine.

A family owned restaurant that serves up delicious Vietnamese food. Very sweet owners here, I went to school with their daughters and they are very nice also. It’s a small place, but I’ve never been there when it gets extremely busy. They offer phở, traditional rice entrees and appetizers like spring roll and egg roll. The egg rolls(the crispy ones) are my favorite, they give you 2 big pieces and the filling is very well seasoned with veggies and pork. Yum! My top favorites are the Bun Bo Hue, tons of flavor, refreshing broth with alot of meat(brisket, Vietnamese ham). A viet dish that you must try! My go though is the Com Thit Heo Nuong(#24), it’s a rice dish with delicious marinated pork, fresh vegetables and my all time favorite thing is fish sauce. Yes I drown my rice in fish sauce, it’s like soup. Not everyone likes fish sauce but you have to at least try it! I have tried the phở here too, it’s pretty good but I have not gotten it as my entrée yet, just tried it from others. The other 2 dishes you have to get. Prices are very affordable, nothing different than any other viet place and it’s actually good. A decent phở place in Chantilly? Count me in!

I’ve been to countless phở restaurants in DC/NOVA. It’s become an obsession of mine to identify the best Vietnamese noodle shops in the area every time I pay a visit to these parts. I saw the great reviews for Phở 102 and thought — this must be serious. Fortunately the restaurant lived up to its stellar reputation. First off the phở here is pretty rockin’. The broth is killer good and doesn’t feel as greasy as what I experienced lately at Phở 75(which has seen some of its quality really diminish at some of its locations, most notably at Rosslyn). The noodles were also good, and the meat was pretty decent — though I still think Phở 75 is the gold standard for that. What’s really good here is the copious selection of awesome sauces at your disposal. Aside from the usual Siriacha and oyster sauces, they also have a trio of fresh homemade sauces to choose from — including lemongrass, fresh chili and sate. All three were awesome and really added to the meal. I also really liked their appetizers. Their spring rolls were fresh, crispy and very tasty. They were also HUGE. Two spring rolls here are like the equivalent of four elsewhere. Their famous wings were also solid. The garlic sauce really kicked ass. Personally I thought the flavor was great, though it did get a bit too messy/saucy for my preference. However, there’s no denying that the taste of the wings were top notch. It’s kind of a schlep here if you’re driving from DC, but it’s worth the trip. This place is also kind of tucked away so make sure you check carefully on the map, as it’s located in a separate section of the strip mall behind the big Lotte supermarket. After eating here twice in two days, I’m convinced this is one of the best Phở shops in the DC/NOVA area. I wish they had something like this in NYC …

This little shop is hidden behind Lotte supermarket, next to Backyard Grill. My boyfriend and I saw some good reviews and thought why not give it a try. Yep! Glad I did try! Haha. We started out with the summer rolls. It came out cold but the portion is a lot bigger than other Vietnamese shops. It was filled with shrimp, pork, chives, lettuce and of course rice noodles. A good portion of peanut sauce was served on the side. Food: My boyfriend and I decided to order phở. I ordered Tai, Nam, Gan, Sach(#10) and my boyfriend got Tai, Chin, Gau, Gan, Sach(#7). The broth wasn’t bad. Definitely not watered down and not salty. It was aromatic and had so much flavor. Personally, I prefer this than Phở Bac broth any day(for the chantilly area). They served a good portion of meat and vermicelli! The nice part, the noodles wasn’t under-cooked and the meat wasn’t overrrr-cooked. They served a good handful of bean sprouts, some jalapenos, basil and lime with your phở. On the table you have three sauce choices which was also nice. Sate, ground chili and I forgot the other one. Can’t wait to try their Bun Bo Hue. My bestie and I will go above and beyond to find the best bun bo hue in the area.(Too bad our fave spot closed down over a decade ago… memories~). Fun side– They have the Phở 102 challenge. SUPER phở! Dare to try it??! Not me! Service: Absolutely friendly and fast! The staff is so down to earth and tentative. They also have patience — especially when you have no idea what to order. So definitely feel free to ask them questions about their dishes. Ambiance: Small, bright, and clean! Weekday nights are not as busy. For locals, give this place a try too instead of the regular-okay local phở shops. The prices here are decent. You might like this place a bit better. For everyone else, come and explore!
