One of the worst fast food experiences. Biscuits are always flat and no fluffy; and usually hard or burnt. Hash browns taste like some added cigarette butts to the grease they were cooked in.

OMG, very bad that I now know about Hardee’s. I just moved to the area a month ago. I had to run an errand the other day and nothing I had in the house seemed appealing for lunch. I stopped in at the pizza place in the same shopping center, but they didn’t have pizza by the slice, and it was taking them 20 minutes to take down an order from two guys. So it was off to Hardees, where for seven bucks I got a 1⁄3 lb. Thickburger and a side of onion rings. Well. First of all, TWOBUCKSFORONIONRINGS? ANDTHEY’REREAL??? Amazing. Actual onion rings, not that chopped/formed/breaded junk other fast food joints dish out. Hot, crunchy, just salty enough, with the onion all nice and melty inside. Delicious. As for the burger? Well, it’s a fast food burger, though bigger than most and definitely with a char flavor to it. I scraped off the mayo-mustard crap from the bun(I’m a ketchup and pickle relish girl) and took off the still-fresh raw red onion, then pulled off the ACTUALCRISPLETTUCE with no brown spots only because it made the sandwich too unwieldy. Then I ate the lettuce and it was actually still fresh and crisp. That left me with a very generous and messy hamburger. So satisfying that I didn’t even need a 3PM nosh. This is really good fast food. Not something a health-aware person wants to get TOO friendly with, but wow. Really super stuff.

I didn’t get what I ordered. After waiting ten minutes in a drive-thru with one car ahead of me, I didn’t get what I ordered. I am utterly disappointed. The second star is only because I would have been satisfied with what I did ordered had I received it.

More«food» than«fast,» Hardee’s always seems to satiate a craving for a greasy burger and fries. Being the only drive-thru this side of Chapel Hill, it has a special quality that those with hangovers search for. That being said, it’s usually pretty slow(and even slower inside). Overall, average fast food.

I’ve eaten here a ton of times in my 6 – 7 years of living in the area. For lunch, it’s normally fine fast food. They never seem to change their fryer oil though; I’m a restaurant guy and I know how fries taste when the oil is old. But for what it is, I’d usually give it 3 stars. But I had the worst breakfast here early today. Counter to my usual night work schedule, I had to be awake at 6:00 am. I got to Hardee’s at 6:15. First off, the place looked totally closed. No outside lights were on at all, but I know these places open at 6:00, so I still hit the drive-thru. Luckily, somebody mumbled something incoherent out of their speaker. I soldiered on, and ordered a couple of biscuits and some hash rounds. On driving away, the hash rounds were bone cold. No excuse for that. When I got where I was going and tried the biscuits, and they were both crispy on the bottom, very obviously not fresh at all. And the few times I’ve tried breakfast here over the years, that’s always been the case. The biscuits here just aren’t good. Something they need to hear.

I don’t go to Hardee’s often, but I got some coupons in the mail and I was ready for a super-charged breakfast before my psychiatry exam. But do I use the BOGO pork chop biscuit or the BOGO sausage and egg biscuit? Silly gluttonous me asks the lady at the register, «Any chance I can use both of these?» She gave some kind of response like I was silly for even thinking I couldn’t. Nice! Okay, but that’s not enough to get me to review a generic fast food place. I then look at the drink menu to see the difference between a small and a large is 40 cents, so I ask for a large drink. The lady responds«Do you want a medium? We have those on special for $ 1.» Good lord woman, you speak my language! Hell yes I want a medium for a dollar cheaper than the large. And bonus points cause their mediums are almost the size of those 7⁄11 big gulps. Anyway, this sweet lady who went out of her way to save me about $ 4 today inspired this Unilocal review. Outside of that, the biscuits are definitely tasty, although I’d probably skip the pork chop next time. Also, they have a student special where you get free fries and drink with any thickburger, so maybe I’ll return for lunch sometime.

This was my first ever experience with a Hardee’s but I was driving by and craving a burger, so I figured what the heck. I went inside to peruse the menu and when I was ready the nice lady who took my order was a) very friendly and b) very careful to make sure she had ordered exactly what I asked for. I ended up with a turkey burger and onion rings. While I waited I got to select a beverage from their rather extravagant fountain machine. So many choices, what’s a girl to do?!? I mixed strawberry fanta with lemonade and I think I may be on to something! ;) Anyways, the burger was a bit dry but the flavor of it as well as the onion rings were spot on!

Compared to the other Hardee’s restaurants in the area, this one seems very dirty. On top of that, while I’m eating, one of the employees starts sweeping with a broom all around me. First on one side, then the other, and even behind me then in front of me. I just looked at her at first, then finally I said, «please don’t do that while I’m eating». I want the place to be clean, but sweeping does normally kick up a little dust. It’s very unappetizing if someone is cleaning the floor all around you. My interaction when ordering was bizarre. The cashier acted like she was a robot and didn’t care and couldn’t be bothered to do more than take my money. I don’t want to be her best friend or sing a song for me, but I wouldn’t mind some greeting or something to make me feel like my business was appreciated. This restaurant definitely needs to have a training session for all employees to improve the way they operate. Some very small changes could make a big difference in how customers perceive them.

This is my second review of a Hardee’s today… This is the one near my house and I’m posting this as the previous review is somewhat worthless. I’ve never met Alexandra K. but 8 words involving an open ended question doesn’t help me evaluate whether or not I’d like to eat somewhere. This is a standard Hardee’s. I’d give a super clean Hardee’s with extra fast service a 5. I’d give lower reviews and would even be willing to give a zero, but this Hardee’s is a solid four /five stars. I go here about 1x per month as it is on my drive home. 1. HARDEE’S. I like Hardee’s, they have good food and are very consistent. I’ve also got a food allergy(gluten) and they are one of the better restaurants when it comes to this. 2. DRIVETHROUGH. I’ve used the drive through here a lot. They are always quick, always accurate and then get you on your way. 3. LOWCARBBURGER /BREAKFAST BOWL. I love both of these items. I also follow a gluten /wheat free diet and Hardee’s is very good about ensuring these two products conform.
