Seafood was very good and fresh. It’s located on an actual coastal inlet on the way to Folly Beach where the boats bring in the catch. We had a variety of battered/fried seafood(oysters, clams, fish, scallops, etc) all of which I would recommend. That being said, the place itself is nothing« Unilocal» about. It is very small and the wait can be very long. You order and pay at the front counter and then you are seated. Service was so-so but the prices were a bit high for fried food. Not very kid friendly either(no kid menu) when we were there last in 2006. May have changed since though but not sure. I agree with Chad E. that there are much better options around.

If you’re looking for some good local seafood, then this place isn’t a bad choice. The main problem is has is that it’s small, so you may have to wait. The other problem is that it’s right off the road, so it’s not especially relaxing. That said, the food is decent, though much of the flavor comes not from the food but from the breading and the flavoring, and the fries, rice, and other sides aren’t that good. There are better options around.
