This place has the best customer service I have ever experienced. The manager of the men’s shoe department went above and beyond. Thanks for a great experience.

Visited this shop with my mother 30-some years ago when she was in her Joan & David phase. Didn’t see any there today. The male clerk who greeted me was welcoming and kind. He asked if I needed help and I mentioned ballet flats. He showed me their selection in that style. Some of the shoes were lovely and most were pricey, but they weren’t my style. Mostly matronly and didn’t see any Tory Burch– what I specifically had in mind. Lovely store as far as design, layout, displays, and seating. And was happy with friendly service, but boring selection is reason for 3-stars.

A one stop shop for shoes !!! … My girlfriend ended up with a pair of Gucci, Prada and Tory Burch and I got myself a pair of Ferragamo’s and Donald Pliners!

I went here during a business trip two years ago. The first time I came in just to browse during lunch and encountered the RUDEST sales lady. She obviously thought I was just a broke waste of time, because she hovered and was so disdainful! I left quickly. Dismissing her as just a cranky cow in the wrong profession, I returned later in the week and got lucky because they had just done a consolidation of their sale inventory and a ton of shoes from their other location had just arrived in my size! This time I was assisted by a much nicer gentleman who took the time to put shoe pads in one of my pairs of heels so that I could try them on to make sure they fit(they did!). Delighted to find ample Prada, Miu Miu, YSL, and Dolce and Gabana in my size, I decided on 6 pairs of shoes! While he was ringing me up, the rude lady was standing in front of the register(customer side) just glaring at me. She wouldn’t move so I could pay until I said«excuse me». So for spite, or maybe just desperate desire for another pair of Prada heels, I added a 7th pair! I had it all shipped to TX to avoid sales tax and the package arrived safely. My sale guy even remembered to call me for the next two sales! I’m giving this 4 stars because a) I really made out like a bandit– I think I spent about $ 800 for all 7 pairs. b) at the time they had a fabulous selection c) it was the highlight of my shopping in Charleston. Returning to the store a few days ago, I didn’t find any great buys and their selection was not as good as it was two years ago. Also, the RUDE lady still works there and she is just as rude! So 5 stars first trip, 3 stars second trip equals 4 stars overall.

The best selection of high end brand name shoes, aside from SAKS in town. Jimmy Choo, Loutoutin, Tory Burch, etc. They have a huge clearance area too. The actual selection is OK, I have seen better. My biggest complaint here was not the prices, that was expected with the brands they carried, but rather the pushy sales people. I expect someone who knows a lot about fashion to sell these brands, and that was not what I got from my experience. Just too pushy — hovering sales people — hate that! They kept trying to sell me nutty looking shoes(I was dressed in all black with Tory Burch flats on — c’mon, do I look like I would wear 4 inch purple stiletto heals with blue feathers?).

Very nice high end shoe store on King Street. If there were only one store where you could shop for shoes, this is it. But open up the olé wallet! They ain’t cheap. Good selection in men’s shoes but wish they would carry a few more brands — Santoni, Tod’s, etc. They have a nice John Varvatos, Prada, Gucci, Henry Beguelin collection. But men’s shoes are a small area of the store in comparison to the women’s. They know who spends the money! Warning! Warning! Do not let your wife go in here alone! Your kids may not be able to go to college & you may need a 2nd job.
