Excellent and fresh. Staff was wonderful and the food was delicious. I highly recommend the farmers market fried chicken salad. The meatloaf sandwich and turkey Brie were yummy as well. Finished it off with chocolate cake that was to die for!

I enjoyed an evening with family and friends catered by Café Fork. Preparation elevated this standard menu to gourmet fare. Food was exceptional and service was wonderful. Pulled pork, deviled eggs, beans seasoned to perfection and blue cheese and bacon topped the best slaw I’ve ever eaten. I look forward to returning soon.

Super fresh ingredients, generous portions, superb flavors(without being greasy or salty). I loved what I got(meatloaf on ciabatta sandwich, fries and side salad-strawberries, goat cheese, cranberries) as did my husband(turkey and brie on a croissant). I also would have been happy with any of the other items I saw on guest’s plates. Service was great and the place was spotless. We went there because of the Unilocal reviews and glad we did! We are from out of town, but would definitely go back. It’s on the way to or from the Ashley River Plantations, so it’s convenient if you are travelling that way.

Are you a fan of pecans? Than you must come here. The spiced praline pecans they add to their dishes are unbelievable! If they were available, I would buy bags of them just for snacks on the daily! That’s how good they are! This is a catering business first and foremost, but they serve a fantastic lunch! Great, fresh ingredients all served with a southern charm that is at the core of Charleston. While this restaurant is not located downtown, it’s well worth the visit!

So in love with this place. Magnolia chicken salad sandwich with melted Bree cheese(have to ask for it). Fries and a mix of sweet potato and regular. Always good, very consistent and the owners are so kind. Cute little place get a reservation of ore than 2 are going

WONDERFULLUNCHPLACE!!! The only complaint I have is that they aren’t open longer! I’ve only eaten here a handful of times, but I find myself craving it ALL the time. Their she crab soup is to die for. I mean it. I could eat that stuff every single day. The southern fried chicken farmers market salad is fresh & full of color with some of the best fried chicken I’ve ever had on a salad(& I’m southern, so I’ve had a LOT of fried chicken in my life). I’ve tried the fry basket of goodness which is a meal in and of itself. It is a pretty heavy appetizer, so it should be shared with a couple of other people, but it is definitely one you should try(fried green beans, fried green tomatoes, fried sweet potato fries, fried mushrooms, hush puppies, & remoulade). If you’re needing some amazing café-type food, you’re in a 30-mile radius, & it’s between 11&2, go here. Seriously. Just an FYI: there is a 10% charge for take-out orders & a 65¢ charge for each«green/recycled» to-go container

Happy to have found this place! I ordered the steak and frites, which be forewarned, is not your typical steak frites. The steak is actually sirloin beef tips coated with bleu cheese and fried onion strings, which is better, in my opinion. The steak was very tender and delicious. The fries were awesome as well. I don’t usually like fries all that much, except for the type of fries Café Fork makes. I highly recommend this dish. My sister got the special that day, which was a salmon filet over a creamy risotto. I love a good risotto so I had a few bites and it was delicious! I see some people complaining about the price, but it’s actually not that bad considering the quality and amount of food you’re getting. In fact, it’s kind of a deal. I got a huge amount of tender sirloin beef tips and fries for $ 12.95. I’ve gotten way less food at Outback Steakhouse for more money than that. If you want a cheap meal with bad-quality ingredients, then go to McDonald’s for lunch.

I really try not to give 5 stars to a place I’ve only tried once but I’ve also never really been a fan of sweet potato fries… but we’ll get to that momentarily. First, Café Fork is SUPERCUTE! Everyone was very friendly and it was just very welcoming. My friend ordered a salad. I can’t remember what sort of salad, but it was huge! I’ll have to update my review later, but I’m thinking it was a daily special. She very much enjoyed her salad. I ordered the Southern BLT served with their duo of fries. If you’ve read other reviews, then you already know the Southern BLT includes pimento cheese and the tomatoes are fried green tomatoes. This sandwich was SOGOOD!!! Mmmmm craving one right now just remembering how tasty it was. The duo of fries are very simply white and sweet potato fries. I don’t know how they make them or what the trick was but these were the best fries ever. I couldn’t stop eating them! It doesn’t even make sense because they looked like standard fries, and as I’ve mentioned, I typically have a «take it or leave it» opinion of sweet potato fries. A gentleman, whom I’d presume was the owner or manager, even came by to make sure we enjoyed our meal. Darn shame they aren’t open for dinner but I look forward to returning sampling more of their menu!

Definitely worth the effort to get there for lunch. Open 11 – 2 M-F can make it tough. Wr had the Banh mi Shrimp sandwich and a shrimp po boy, both great with some if the best sweet potato fries I’ve had. beware the sweet tea is 3 $! Menu is extensive, saw a ½ Pork belly ½ beef burger I’m gonna need to test out.

A friend and I popped into Fork desperate with hunger, 20 minutes before they closed for the day. We were met with smiling faces and an adorable ambiance. The real test, what really matters, is the food. And it is excellent. And lucky for you lucky Charlestonians, they cater. My friend and I each ordered the pimento BLT with a duo of French fries. I can’t say why I ordered this, since I’m not a fan of pimento cheese. But this was not the pimento cheese of my native Nashville — no tanginess, all yumminess. The T was a friend green tomato, and the sandwich was on floury ciabatta bread. I took the second half of my sandwich apart to try to figure out what made it so darn tasty and found that one side had a mustard aioli and the other had warm, peppery butter. The duo of French fries was baking potato and sweet potato. Munching on them, I couldn’t place what made them so familiar until we left: The coating is just like that of Arby’s curly fries. I mean that as a compliment, but I saved the detail to myself, not wanting to inadvertently offend the talented, thoughtful chefs at Fork. I recommend Fork ever so highly.

I went for lunch with a friend of mine. Everything was so nice inside and the staff was super friendly. I had a the she crab soup, really good, but no need to add the extra sherry that they bring to the table. My lunch was the fish tacos and the street style corn in the cob. The sauce on the fish tacos was great and fish cooked well. It was a lot of food for the price.

Love this little café. We have been a few times and the worst I can say of it is it closes to early! The food is great and the staff are wonderful too!

Do you want to pay $ 20 for lunch? I’m not convinced its worth it. The salads are all expensive, I ordered the Black and Blue Caesar. I did not read on the menu that the Caesar dressing is a chipotle dressing so beware it’s kind of spicy(but that was fine with me). Not only was I confused with the spicy Caesar dressing, but the meat on the salad was inedible. Very very grisly and tough to chew. Think of it as eating a piece of meat and it’s not getting anywhere, very tough almost like stew beef. And it was not over cooked either because it was a little pink inside. It was definitely not like the flank steak you usually get with a salad. The chef came out and explained what he thought had happened, maybe they got a different piece of meat but it was supposed to be top sirloin. He was extremely nice, and did not charge for the meal, but with the salad with a drink tax & tip will run you $ 20.

Hidden gem! Only open for lunch M — F, 11 to 2. Limited hours are because they are a caterer. Limited options for good lunch out HWY61, but since I had to get my car serviced out that way, we stopped for lunch today. Are we glad we found this dining spot! Limited seating available(a couple of large communal tables and a handful of small tables) but service was fast, friendly and efficient. I had a shrimp Flatbread and it was very good. It also came with a good-sized side salad. The greens were super fresh and the dressing was perfect. My wife had a teriyaki salmon salad. A good-sized portion that she quite enjoyed. And, they served their iced tea in glass, not plastic. Next time we’re in West Ashley we will be sure to stop here.

My husband and I finally had an afternoon during the week that we were both able to take a longer lunch and meet up. So glad we chose Café Fork to try! We made a reservation for our table, even though their were only two of us. I highly recommend doing that. There are a very limited amount of tables and each one was full when we were in there. I’d say maybe 5 two tops and a community table in the center.(I think they also have a couple two seat tables out front) I ordered the chicken salad– which was one of the best I’ve ever had. The croissant it was on was toasted lightly and so buttery. I could have eaten it by itself with some coffee! The fries are a duo of regular fries and sweet potato fries. Both were SO delicious. My husband ordered the BBQ Chicken Cobb salad. Wow! What a large size and such fresh ingredients. I would certainly order a salad the next time I go. The dessert we had was a sweet potato cheesecake. I should have ordered the whole cake versus just a slice. It was that good! They are only open for a few hours during the work week(Monday-Friday, 11 – 2) I would certainly recommend trying out Café Fork for lunch! I noticed they also offer cooking classes, which I have not taken yet, but will review once I do.

Café Fork is off the beaten path and a great example of why you shouldn’t judge a restaurant by its cover. The restaurant is located in a shopping center in West Ashley, down Hwy. 61 where there are not many restaurants at all, much less ones where you’ll find food like this. The menu itself and food are more like what you’d find downtown, without having to fight traffic or pay for parking(or if you’re like me and live out here, a lot closer to your home). I started out with a Café Salad, which I highly recommend. This salad has dried cranberries, sliced strawberries, pecans, goat cheese, and a delicious chocolate vinaigrette salad dressing. You can substitute a side item for this salad, and I highly recommend it because this was one of the best side salads/starters I have had. One tip is that the dressing is on the salad and probably at the bottom, so you may have to mix it up(I also had to order a little extra today because the salad didn’t have as much dressing, but the first time I went, it had enough dressing on it). The goat cheese is VERY rich and delicious. I didn’t think anything could beat that salad, but the flatbread shrimp pizza I had as an entrée was also delicious. I don’t know if I’d really call it a «pizza» so much, but it had big pieces of shrimp and cheese. Not a whole ton of spinach, but I got enough greens and veggies in the salad I suppose. One other person in my party also had the flatbread and loved it, while the others had the fish tacos. The menu isn’t extensive but everyone can find something, there are lots of salads and sandwiches. If you’re not super hungry, you can just buy the Café Salad for $ 5.95 and it’s a good small lunch. The service was also great– you can sit at a community table or at a side table for 2 – 4. The restaurant was decorated for autumn, and they also decorate nicely for Christmas. However, you’ll have to enjoy this between 11 – 2 on weekdays because the restaurant is not open on weekends or in the evenings. This is because they are also a catering service(I cannot review on the catering, as I haven’t had it). If you want a «cheap» lunch, this probably isn’t the place for it, but if you’re willing to spend a little more money for high-quality food or want to splurge a little, Café Fork is a great spot. It’s close to my house so it evens out for me. It was one of the best lunches I’ve had in West Ashley and is worth the drive down Hwy 61 for those who don’t live close by.

Southern charm at it’s finest! This precious shabby chic charm isn’t just all looks. The food was incredible and one of a kind. I had the BLT. It wasn’t your everyday bacon lettuce and tomatoes on toast. Served in between ciabatta were fried green tomatoes, pimento cheese, and some sort of wasabi or aioli mayonnaise, with of coarse crispy bacon and fresh lettuce. For each sand which we were served a mix of seasoned fries AND sweet potato fries. Delish! For a beverage ask the server if they have elderflower and rose lemonade. It is brought to them by the UK and that stuff is incredible! Not only is the food unique and yummy and the atmosphere just adorable, but it’s great to have the kitchen so oped to the dinning area and notice just how clean and tidy they keep it. I cannot wait to be back.

Had fork cater an event once so I thought I would drop in on my way by for lunch. Wasn’t too hungry so I went with fried goodness basket. Green beans, green tomatoes, sweet potatoes and mushrooms. I thought he what could go wrong? Well the tomato was so coated with breading I had a hard time eating it. The mushrooms just crunched. No juicy mushroom or anything. Green beans and sweet potato fries were okay. And the entire dish was served with one all amount of remoulade. Honestly disappointed with their frying skills. Green tomatoes are a beauty and divine when fried, but for goodness sake let them shine don’t drown them with breading!

Nice place! I had a Crab cake Benedict over corn cake(instead of English muffin), while my husband had the meatloaf sandwich. The only downside was that the server kept cleaning tables next to us with windex — I absolutely appreciated the cleanliness, but windex is quite strong smelling, and was very disturbing to smell while trying to eat. Otherwise, the food was good.

First off, I loved this place. The chef and everyone there was super friendly and provided great service. The food looked great… but taste wise? Not so much. I ordered the burger and it tasted like a pre-made frozen patty. For the price, it wasn’t worth it. But again, the chef and everyone there was great!
