Jade Garden isn’t super fancy, but the food is tasty and a great value for Chinese takeout. The food is typical Chinese takeout with numbered lunch and dinner combinations, as well as pints that you can buy. My husband eats here a lot, but tonight was my first time trying it. I will be back. Tonight, we got 2 combination dinners– one hunan shrimp and one general tso’s chicken. The shrimp came with veggies, and both meals came with fried rice and an egg roll. The meals come with pork fried rice, but I don’t eat pork and they happily gave me plain fried rice with onions. We also got a large wonton soup for my husband. The portions are big and the ratios of rice to the entrée were good. The shrimp in my hunan shrimp were huge, the dish wasn’t super spicy, and the veggies were tasty. I guess if you want a spicier dish, you should tell them because mine was marked spicy on the menu, but wasn’t spicy at all. The price was right too. For $ 24, both of us are happy and full and we both have leftovers for tomorrow. The meals are big enough to share if you don’t want leftovers. They also packaged it with enough sauce and with 4 fortune cookies. I liked that they packaged it in a box instead of a bag because it was easy to carry out and nothing spilled in the car. You can eat in with a few tables, but I just opted to wait and take the food home. They have newspapers to read while you wait, or you could opt to phone in your order(I got a menu and will probably do this next time).
