Sonic Drive-In

Not what drive-​ups used to be. Here no service, machines broken, and food heavy with condiments. I don’t think you can order them on the side. Hot dogs are soggy. Bread is worse. How they stay in business is beyond me. It’s one of those places that you go to only once!

I like sonic, Ive been to this location twice for half priced shakes after 8pm. The shakes are always great! I have not had food here but I’ve had food at another location. I always remember their breakfast burritos being pretty amazing-​good hearty breakfast!

This place sucks, a half hour for a few ice creams, at this quality. I can see once in awhile, but every time, sucks

Either the employees never want to work, or all of the machines that make food or handle transactions really are broken or «just crashed» constantly.
I keep going back, and I keep trying, but if ⁹⁄₁₀ times I can’t get food because of everything being broken, then it’s time to stop going.
Goodbye, Sonic. I’ll miss those burgers.

I have always been pleased with the service at this Sonic. The kids working are always nice, friendly and smiling. I usually go to Sonic for the bags of crushed ice. Today, I enjoyed mozzarella sticks-​they were actually very good! I like that they have lots of small things to get for a snack. You can even get just 2 mozzarella sticks! It’s nice to have the option to enjoy a small amount of unhealthy food:)

One of the few places I know to get some tater tots. The burger was pretty good and so were the tots. Nice and fresh.
There was no one in line, but the wait was a little long. Only complaint.
The staff was pretty courteous and accommodating.
Their ice is the best. Yeah yeah I know, we are talking about ice.

First time at this location. May give them another chance if the hunger pains entice me enough. I was the only one parked to place an order and was placed on hold halfway through the order. The order shows up on the screen in front of you and it was all there, but when it came out, something was missing and was not on the receipt. The delivery guy on wheels was nice enough to go grab it and apologized, so kudos to him. I will say that the order came quickly, but again, wasn’t complete.

This was my first ever Sonic experience, we do not have many up North and the closest to me is an hour away. I was so happy to try the slushies that I always see advertised. I loved my Cherry Limeade Slushie and my two other friends were pleased with their choices. BUT, I was a little let down when the server came slowly walking across the parking lot with no happiness in her face at all, she looked SO MISERABLE. I understand that working there may not be the best thing ever but at least put on a smile for your guests!

I like Sonic. I really do. But the more I go to this location, the more disappointed I am.
We went on 4^th of July after fireworks. After placing our order and paying by credit card, the employee tells us one of the machines was broken so they couldn’t make my drink. I ordered a replacement drink, and they set to work on our order. Now, this isn’t a huge deal. But the drink I had paid for was twice the cost of the one I was ending up with. When they brought the order out, I asked them about the cost difference for my drinks. After over 30 minutes and a couple of separate purchases, they got the money straight. We had to ask for straws 3 times before we got them, and they never provided me with my receipts.
We filed a complaint through the corporate hq and got an email from the store manager. He apologized and said he remembered us, but didn’t realize our experience had been so terrible. He offered to refund our costs, and I greatly appreciated it. He couldn’t figure out which purchases were ours, tried to issue me a cash refund for an order amount that wasn’t ours, and was difficult to communicate with. Two weeks later, still waiting for the refund.

Eh. This location has friendly staff and makes yummy food… but they are SO SLOW. Even the drive thru and not actually pulling into a spot to order. I don’t understand why it takes ten minutes to fill an order of just soda? I only pop in here if I am in dire need of a fountain soda or need a milkshake after a procedure of some sort, but every time I feel like it gets slower and slower.

Great milkshakes. Not crazy about their burgers, but their staff is friendlier than any fast food place anywhere.

By far one of the worst Sonics for customer service! I saw another review stating how long you have to wait and drive to another station and wait some more is exactly what happened to me! Actually this has happened before, but tonight I pressed the button and nothing…30 seconds later I press it again and nothing. I just decided to leave. While I’m at it there was another experience where I waited for over 8:00 minutes and no one answered in the drive thru! So I parked and they took my order right away, but I had to wait… If you have a new album to listen to, have a conversation with a friend over the phone, or have an hour or more for lunch then go to this Sonic!

Went through the drive thru by circling the building — yet I saw several cars enter the line by making an odd u-​turn. When I picked up my order and circled the building again to exit the parking lot, there were cars completely blocking the exit road because people are too darn lazy to drive around the building and enter the drive thru correctly. I think there should be a concrete barrier to prevent cars from doing this. Or at least a sign directing them how to enter the drive thru.
The onion rings were wonderful but the corn dog was cooked incorrectly. The batter next to the dog was mushy. I’ll stick to the burgers from now on.

Well, it’s Sonic– so the menu and food are about like every other Sonic down south. Now remember not everyone has access to a Sonic so don’t take that for granted, mmmkay?
I came here for one of their new milkshakes… I wanted an oreo one but not the cheesecake base that was on the menu. They gladly made me an oreo milkshake with vanilla base just as I requested. Tastes great and pretty cheap.
Knocked off one star for access. You kinda have to drive around the block to get in and out of here. I guess they wanted it to face Glenn McConnell so people could see it from the main road, but it’s sorta weird to drive up to the back of the restaurant. Not like that deters me or anyone else from going!

Drove up about 7:15pm and the entire staff was standing in the middle if the kitchen. One of the guys made a «dang it» gesture when he saw me pull in. I then drove around the building and over to Subway. If the employees are gonna upset that they have to serve me, I’ll eat somewhere else. That’s just rude and immature. Which stinkys, cuz I love me some Sonic.

Had a kind of awkward experience here. We walked up at around 10am, we didn’t have a car or anything so we sat at a table and tried to find a menu… we couldn’t. We really only wanted coffee though.
A girl looked at me from the inside… she seemed so confused. But eventually she came out and talked to us. She took our coffee order and whisked away. When she came back she had coffees and not nearly enough creamer. The main problem with the coffee though, was that it was scolding. I couldn’t drink it for more than an hour, I kid you not. I don’t know, maybe Sonic just isn’t the place for coffee [should have known that, i bet you’re reading this saying. what an idiot… but listen, I didn’t know what else was around!].
Anyway, I don’t doubt Sonic has great food and service at this location, my experience was just… odd.

I normally wouldn’t review a fast food place but after the bad experience at hominy grill a few hours ago, and driving around charleston starving, this sonic saved my stomach! The food was good, shakes delicious, and servers were nice and smiling. I also really appreciate that they gave us a bunch of napkins (I notice the little things). In savannah we also stopped at a sonic and although the food was good, they gave us literally two napkins and no smiles. I am currently full and content. Although I realize sonic is probably not the quintessential charleston food, for 14.57 the food was filling, delicious, and no hair was found in the food like from hominy grill (which my bf spent 18 bucks and change on). I think all of the above merits this sonic a five star review.

Nice and clean and fast service. Definitely tastes like they change the oil.
