Excellent Iced Coffee Latte and Café Mocha. Seating inside or out. Also have smoothies and Mediterranean and Southern sandwiches which looked delicious. Very casual place.

Terrible espresso basically undrinkable. My wife and I went there today I bought a mocha and she had a cappuccino. The mocha was so hot it burnt my mouth and the coffee was burnt, could not taste the chocolate at all, the whole thing was tasteless it was crap. My wife’s cappuccino had way too much foam and it was dry and chalky, the coffee was burnt tasteless and wat too hot. I like going to local coffee shops and check out there stuff don’t waste your time here. This place makes Starbucks seem like paradise.

Drink review only: Came in on Christmas after a long flight and was in definite need of a warm tea after walking around town. Ended up with a pumpkin spiced, almond chai and couldn’t have been happier! Not too sweet, perfectly frothy and absolutely delicious. The shop itself was cute, with tons of seating on the outside patio. The menu of drinks was endless, with many variations to the traditional chai, so if that’s your thing, I certainly recommend this place! Can’t vouch for the food or even the coffee, sorry.

Cute little café where we grabbed a bagel and a coffee as we walked around the Market and Market Street. Quick service, and it has simple snacks and eats for you when you get hungry exploring the city!

Nice place to grab something warm with lots of options. It’s close to the market place and shops while walking around. I didn’t try any of the food but everything looks great.

Greasy, fruit plate could not have been more pathetic. Bruised apples. 7 blueberries and 4 were smooshed, a shot glass size scoop of yogurt. Why? So easy to just serve some fresh stuff and yogurt is cheap so pile a little on to cover up my bruised fruit On the upside it was pretty cheap and I’m sure good for a hangover

Just got a latte here. Espresso was out of the fridge and was just a splash in a ton of milk. Don’t go here for espresso

2 ½* The jalapeño cheddar bagel here was a joke. They added jalapenos on top of the bagel which fell off immediately. I asked for my bagel to be toasted it was barely crispy. I also think it’s a bad sign when they give you little packets of cream cheese to add onto the bagel yourself. Maybe I’m spoiled because I’m from NY and we have amazing bagels in the city… this just didn’t compare. I also had a smoothie which was OK, but a little watered down. My friends had tried the falafels here the day before and said they were amazing, so maybe that is their specialty?

So I am sure there are many amazing things about café Paradiso but I have only ordered Turkish Coffee and baklava. The gentleman that served us the first time was very helpful! We ordered a round of Turkish Coffees they offer different levels of sweet though we have always thought of it as sweet. So this gentleman explained to us the lately in Jerusalem they drink Turkish coffee and dip baklava into it to sweeten the drink. We tried this and instantly fell in love! Fair warning: if you aren’t good with Turkish style coffee it is extremely strong and I recommend for you to get it extra sweet. It’s stronger than espresso in flavor. Also there is coffee grounds left on the bottom so don’t dump the whole cup towards you. In the end it was a pretty awesome little place to drink some coffee near the old slave market(no there are not slaves there it’s now an open market) on a cold day. CHECKITOUT!

Finally, a decent latte in the South! I’ve been all up and down this coast looking for something that comes anywhere half as good as home and discovered this little café on Unilocal.I was pleasantly surprised to learn they also serve falafel, so if I’m back in town I’ll stop by and try it out. The heat lamps outside on a chilly day were nice, cheers!

Do not go here!!! It’s overpriced and of very bad quality. This review is based strictly off the hookah they provide here. Still haven’t tried coffee here so it might be good, but I have no idea. Anyways, the prices they charge are completely outrageous. To buy a box of coals, they charge $ 35…you can buy the exact same box online for $ 18. Even with shipping, you still save a ton over this place. The shisha they sell is the same thing. It’s completely overpriced… ridiculous! Now onto the«hookah bar» they claim to have. $ 20 to use a terrible, cheap hookah mass produced in China, one quick light coal, and a terribly packed bowl of subpar shisha. It tasted bad, was very harsh, and left me with a painful sore throat. I really wish I could go back in time and stop myself from giving this establishment my hard earned cash. It was a complete and utter waste of time and money.

This is a great little coffee shop conveniently located downtown. The staff was friendly, and the coffee was great and reasonably priced. There is also a nice area to sit outside and people watch while you are enjoying your coffee. Would definitely recommend.

I’ve stumbled in here a few times, and didn’t know what it was called until recently, so I figure I’m due for a review now. I’ve only had drinks here, so I can’t speak on the food, but the drinks are pretty awesome. I’ve never had an italian soda before, and it was a cool new drink to try. Soda, flavor, and half and half? Never would have thought to mix cream and soda, but it was pretty good. I have yet to be let down by their smoothies either, and they have a large and diverse selection to choose through. The service has been pretty good as well, so this is a pretty solid place.

I only ordered drinks. So I’ll rate this place based on that alone. + The location is pretty awesome. Right next to the City Market. We passed by for a short respite from walking around all day. + Plenty of indoor and outdoor seats. It was a beautiful sunny day so we sat outside. + Wide selection of drinks. I ordered a single espresso, and Tropical Temptation smoothie while my sis got an iced tea. + Espresso was surprisingly okay. No hint of bitterness. Smoothie was good. Iced tea was… iced tea. + Good service. Fast and polite. — Foam cup for my espresso. Seriously. Not sure if they do that for all espresso drinks or they didn’t hear my «to stay» request. — They started mopping the floor while we were there. Around 3PM? Why? I hate it when places start cleaning up early. Sweep it, sure, but mop it? Anyhow, I wouldn’t return for the coffee, but I wouldn’t mind a cup either.

I stopped by here this past Saturday afternoon for a quick pick me up while walking through the city market with my fiancé and her parents. Since it was fairly cold outside I was looking for something warm and was unable to locate my go to drink, an Americano on the chalkboard menu. As such I went up to the barrista and asked her if she was able to make it which she was. It was also reasonably priced which I appreciated and only a short time later I had my drink. The Americano tasted decently enough, good, smooth and strong and warmed me up a bit like I was looking for. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. For the price I think that you could do a lot worse than the coffee that you receive here.

I don’t know about the food, coffee, or hookah but my wife loved the chai here. I had my morning coffee so i just sat and looked at the extensive menu on the wall. I like the idea of a Med. place that is a warm drink place in the morning, eatery during the day, and a hookah joint at night. My wife gets chai at a lot of places and was very happy about her Chai. It tasted pretty good to me but I am not a Chai expert. They also a one person bathroom in the back which was more important to me as I was planning to hop on a carriage for the next hour. Good location but a little cramped and small if more than 10 people are inside.

Cool place… hookah bar; Turkish coffee, great sandwiches, smoothies and desserts. I never tried the Hookah thing but may check it out before I leave Charleston. The place is definitely touristy but great service and reasonable prices along with a nice outside dinning area make this place a winner.
