11÷2016− Great visit the first time we came here. Food was great as was the service. Highly recommend it. 2÷2016− Came back again the first week of FEB and had a very disappointing experience. We walked out because no one waited on us. We left and went next door to a new restaurant and had a good experience. We learned that the general manager(Chaz) of that restaurant was the same manager for the Crab House. Chaz apologized for our lack of service at his other restaurant and offered us two complimentary adult beverages and an appetizer with the hopes that we would come back and give the Crab House another visit. 2÷25÷16: We retuned this evening to the Crab House and were waited on by a great waitstaff– Colby. He was fantastic. Chaz stopped by our table to say hello, thank us for returning and to be sure our experience was top notch… ANDITWAS; just as it was the first time we came. This is an excellent restaurant with great staff. They want their customers to come and leave happy; WEDID! Thank you Chaz and to your team.

Stopped by here for dinner. Last minute decision as we saw that it was crowded which is always a good sign. 15 min wait which flew by as we were having some drinks that were nicely poured by the friendly/attentive bartender! We are from California and staff was absolutely friendly and helpful and it’s something that we don’t come across too often nowadays. We started off with hush puppies and fried calamari. They were served up quick and was crisp and hot(temp)! For dinner I had the grilled shrimp and grits. So full of flavor and was exactly what I would expected it to be! Wish I had pics to post along but you simply have to stop by and check it out. Thank you and keep up the great work guys!

With lots of great seafood places in Charleston, it’s hard to figure out which place to try. Charleston Crab House delivers on its quality, uniqueness, and overall service. The only reason this place gets 4 stars instead of 5 is because it’s a little overpriced. $ 2.50 per oyster is the standard there. AMBIANCE/SERVICE: This restaurant looks to be in an old converted warehouse, right off Market Street. There is outdoor seating and very spacious indoor searing with incredibly high ceilings. The service is fantastic. We could tell our server was new, but he still did a great job and made sure he found out answers to any questions he didn’t know DRINKS: The drink menu is awesome. Whoever the mixologist is on staff does an awesome job creating interesting and creative drinks. Definitely try the Carolina dark mud drink which has 101 bourbon and run with lemon, honey, sugar, and bitters. It was perfectly mixed! FOOD: If you’re not in the mood for seafood and want something delicious and nutritious, get the«super food salad.» It has broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, beets, and carrots, all julienned and served atop a bed of kale with a mandarin orange dressing. Holy cow, it is soooo good. The ceviche was spicy but not so spicy as too distract from the fresh fish. They have an outstanding selection of oysters.
