This is the most pathetic I hop that I’ve ever been to the staff has no knowledge of the menu hardly the restaurant has poor cleanliness and the food «oh my god“you don’t want to know. This is an embarrassment to the IHOP legacy and franchise. The Mount Pleasant IHOP is way better than the Savannah Highway and North Charleston location due to the cleanliness, atmosphere and the staff. They better get better or get shut down for a best. They used to get a «D» grade on health inspection.

Basic IHOP, Service was solid. Resteraunt smelled a little moldy but not intollerable. Food was good. I dont think this place is a 2 because it is above average. I recomend this place for breakfast even though they are 24 hours/​day there are to many other choices for lunch and dinner.

I usually love IHOP, so I’m not a breakfast snob or anything, but my experience at this particular one was subpar. The interior is small and dingy, and while the service was friendly, it wasn’t particularly brisk or attentive. The smashed red potatoes that came with my breakfast plate were brown, and tasted very strange; I couldn’t eat but a couple bites. Meh.

Smelled like marijuana went we were seated. Waiter was prompt at beginning but I had to go find my own drink refill. Wife’s sandwich looked good but my chicken crepes were poor and the hollandaise sauce was light brown. This franchise unit has always been less than it should be just thought I would see if they changed.

While the staff were nice, the meals were not.
Ordered a crêpe that was obviously only warmed via the microwave, as you could see the steam rising from the inside. My crêpe was unusually chewy, and so blatantly not fresh.
I also ordered a side of broccoli, and was brought a small plate consisting of five pieces. $ 1.59 right there.

I love breakfast food. And you really can’t get breakfast food wrong. Just slap some bacon and butter on those pancakes, and I am in heaven. Normally, IHOP sends me there…
BUT this IHOP location is in some desperate need of work. The ceiling tiles are filthy. They have dust and water stains. It’s more than just diner-​dingy (you know, that little bit of dust that adds character).
Most of the staff is nice, though, which is a shame because I’m sure many people turn away because of the condition of the place.
The food is always very good, but I did find myself chanting «don’t look at the ceiling, don’t look at the ceiling» a few times while I was waiting for my order… which is never a good sign.
I’d say check out nearby Early Bird Diner or Huddle House for a cleaner breakfast food experience.

My wife and I go here to enjoy the senior menu. Yes we love discounts and these folks give them out! This last time the place was very clean and the server was great! Our order was up pretty fast and the drinks stayed full. Sometimes you need to get a pancake fix at night.

I was here once! Filthy! Food was awful! Greasy!
My son just called me. He was there and asked me what he should do? Same experience as my husband and I had. I wish I would have known he was planning on going. We never complain when we go out and didn’t when we went, but this time I told my son to tell the waitress and return the food and leave. I DID tell him to leave the waitress a tip because its not her fault.
DON’T GO HERE!

Came here the other night to use up a gift card. After being seated, saw a roach crawling on the table behind me. Figured it’s SC so even though it is disgusting roaches do live here, whatevs. Ordered our drinks and she kept forgetting husbands coffee. While we waited on our food, you could see a few of the employees (our server included) playing on their phones while sitting at a table right by the door. If you’re going to be on your phone, at least go hide in the kitchen or something. Then our food came out except my order was incorrect. So she took it back and five minutes or so later the correct food came out. Food was average quality and while the server was nice, she certainly is not waitress of the year award material. Probably won’t ever eat at this location again. I’ve dined at the one in MT. P and had a much better experience.

Ordered the Chicken Omelet, waited over 45 minutes and they were not even busy… I even saw them using their bare hand to mass around my food, disgusting! Amy I couldn’t agree more about their service. Maybe just this Ihop… i don’t know but will definitely not going to come back.

The staff was unprofessional. They looked very sloppy. The manager was rude. The 1st thing she said to us is «whats the issue?» We ended up leaving because it was my birthday & I brought in a birthday coupon on my phone & they wouldn’t honor it unless it was printed. I offered to email it or text it to the store & they rudely replied no and repeated that it had to be printed. I would not have left if they would have just been nicer and more considerate about it. Good service is a must for mediocre food. Bad service is only acceptable when your food overcompensates for it.
