This is an amazing store full of unique treasures! My husband and I stopped in today and we were so impressed with the owner. We could tell she was extremely passionate about her shop, fashion and her customers. I loved the jewelry, jean shorts and unique vintage tops. My husband particularly loved all the taxidermy and he would have taken it all home in a heartbeat. So great to see someone doing what they love and my husband and I both agreed it was our favorite shop on King. I think I need to head back for the beaded mermaid necklace :)

I was drawn to this store because of the gorgeous window display– I expected to find beautiful clothes that were totally out of my price range. Instead I found wearable vintage that I could actually afford! There was a great selection of vintage dresses, around the $ 50-$ 60 range. There were also some stunning furs for less than I’d seen anywhere else. Plenty of leather bags as well. What I really liked about the selection was that I could see myself wearing all of it; it wasn’t too costumey. Plus, Jamie Lin was super sweet and picked out a couple of gems for me to try on! Definitely worth a visit– one of the coolest stores in Charleston, in my opinion.

The proprietor Jamie Lin is really sweet and helpful. There was some cool jewelry but it was all really over priced. The clothes didn’t seem to be anything I couldn’t get at a Goodwill, with the exception of one designer piece which just didn’t seems like anyone in Charleston could ever wear because it was very wintery. I was expecting cool, classy vintage and instead I found American Apparel. If this is the best vintage in Charleston then I guess I’m out of luck. Maybe it’s just not my taste.

I must say this first: Jamie Lin Snider(hence the store’s name, JLINSNIDER) is a doll! So sweet and totally creative. When in downtown Charleston today, Mom and I luckily happened to park right in front of her vintage shop on King Street and just had to wander in. We got to talking to the cute owner and could just FEEL her passion about design, quality goods and her business. Of course, we also talked shoes. I learned that she started with an etsy store and that launched her into the brick and mortar world last year! So cool. She has a large selection of women’s clothes, plus some men’s — lots of dresses and carefully-selected, well-cared for vintage pieces to fit all kinds of tastes and styles. Prices are reasonable, especially if you have an eye for what fits you and for quality. I really wanted that red silk cape that she had, but we’ve done a lot of shopping this week. If it is meant to be, it will still be there for me! Check her out when in town, or at her etsy site still thriving — .
