What an exceptional experience. Rivals some of my favorite intimate dining experiences in Chicago. A chef who invents cuisine from fresh ingredients and turns them into delicious works of art. The highest quality restaurant in Charleston.

Tries to be elegant but falls flat — no class. The homemade pasta recommended by the waitress was awful. They allowed their friends’ unruly kids to shout and yell and otherwise disrupt the peace and quiet. They refused to take the pasta plate away. The service was terrible. My friend’s bass was good but ridiculously expensive.

Best in city — by a mile. Look not further if your visiting charleston this is THE spot! Everything on the menu looks a bit confusing but just pick a meat you like and prepare to be blown away. Service is great food is out of this world. Do NOT pass up a chance to dine here if your in town. But get a reservation at least a week in advanced! Menu always changes but I can’t been more impressed by a restaurant in WV than Noah’s — 10 stars if I could.

Very nice restaurant. I was here for a business trip and thought I’d pop in. Limited menu but the chef has some excellent choices. I had a great salad to start and a really good swordfish. It’s my understand they rotate entrees every few days so I will be back! I’d recommend reservations because it’s pretty quaint.

Noah’s Bistro is a wonderful place for dinner. While the outside might not look that charming, once you get in, your taste buds will be delighted with with Chef Noah brings to the table. We were the first table of the night, so it took awhile for our first course to kick in, but it definitely put us in a good mood. The foie gras was fantastic, and I really enjoyed the duck tacos too. For the main course, my girlfriend and I split the tomahawk chop ribeye. Even though I am a carnivore, ribeye is not my favorite cut of meat. I usually prefer NY strips or filets. I have tried rib eyes many times though, and never did I have one as good is here. This monstrous slab of meat was completely devoured by the both of us, a feat that we were quite proud of, lol! Overall, we were pleasantly surprised and Noah surpassed our expectations. Kudos to the chef!

Really excellent food! Check the menu before you go if you’re picky like me. The menu is limited because the quality is superb. The beef Wellington is beyond great.

The night I went there it was the coolest restaurant in town. It’s only offers a few seats and so feels very exclusive. The foods pricing is just appropriate for how unique it is. The food was really it. And it’s just so romantic!

Five stars because the food is that good! For an appetizer we got the conch fritters which were so good and even better dipped in the sauce that came with them! For an entrée I had the shrimp and prosciutto wrapped scallops with polenta. Delicious! Polenta perfectly crisp outside and creamy inside! Shrimp & scallops were cooked perfectly, great flavor. For dessert I had the peach pie, also delicious. Even better was the chocolate lava cake my husband got! Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. As a side note, if the owner/chef is reading this: please get a better location and atmosphere. Your food is too good for the building/atmosphere. The music choice and volume level were strange. Seeing in to the kitchen with people dressed in t shirts and shorts makes the meal feel less special. On it’s own the food is the best in Charleston, some of the best we have ever had period!

Wow. Excellent service. Amazing food. We had the bone in ribeye, with starters of pork belly blt and shrimp salad. Definitely a spot to return to.

I came here recently on a business trip. I give this restaurant an A for effort. They have all the right ingredients — local produce, top quality protein, fresh ingredients — however, I thought the combinations of the great ingredients were a little off. They paired scallops, a very delicate sea creature, with a sweet sticky tomato jam and a strong and pungent balsamic vinaigrette. I think they put the scallops on some roasted potatoes and kale, which I found way too heavy for the scallop flavor. The scallops were pan fried, hard on the outside and chewy on the inside. The watermelon salad was only ok. I thought, again there was too much emphasis on the vinegar. The red wine came chilled, which is simply not how anyone should even serve a cabernet. ever. I did find the people working there to be exceptionally charming. I like that the restaurant is off the beaten path and you have to «find» the place. I think the restaurant has a lot of potential, I guess I just hit it on the wrong week.

I’ve had the pleasure of eating here probably 7 or 8 times now and each time, I’m impressed, especially given that it’s in Charleston, WV… a place not exactly known for it’s outstanding cuisine. I love food and make it a point to visit new places anytime I travel around the U.S. Without a doubt, Noah’s competes with even the best that I’ve experienced. Constantly changing menus, excellent atmosphere, excellent service, great wine selection and every dish that I’ve had, appetizer or entrée, had been spot on. Just writing this review makes me want to eat there again :) If you haven’t yet, give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!

My work colleagues and I were very happy to find this place with the help of Unilocal. The food was excellent. Presentation was beautiful and the portions were filling while not too large. Looks to be wine and beer only, but that is fine. The wine list is extensive. The only complaint was the limited entrée options. I don’t eat pork so was«stuck» with fish when would have preferred a red meat option. That said the fish was delicious. We will be back.

Best food I’ve had in Charleston. Affordable appetizers. Portions for courses are moderate to surprisingly big. Good service. Décor and music could use improvement.

A small place with a warm and inviting atmosphere. My meal was good except I was surprised that it was not served hot. My soup was luke warm. My entrée was a little better.

This place is a gem! Best flavor and quality I’ve had in a long time. I ate here with some work colleagues during a business trip after seeing the reviews. We didn’t realize that the menu was going to have limited choices for the main course(chicken or fish) and a few people in my group wanted to leave, but we were all blown away by the quality and combination of flavors. We had a fried calamari appetizer that was perfectly cooked; not chewy at all, and not undercooked. The halibut was pan seared and very moist. The menu seems to change every week, so there are always new things to try. Great atmosphere and portions for dates. It is expensive, but is fairly priced considering the quality of food and service you receive. Don’t forget to save room for dessert! I wish I had a restaurant like this where I live. I hope it’s able to survive in Charleston.

Best dining experience in Charleston. If you are looking for a great meal, served with the freshest and highest quality ingredients around look no further than Noah’s. The weekly menu change always keeps it fresh and interesting. Sure you could have a similar priced experience at Laury’s, the Chop House or Bridge Road Bistro, but the food would not be as delicious as it is at Noah’s. The perfect place for a special occasion.

I was lucky enough to be treated to an amazing meal at Noah’s before my senior prom. It was pricey but amazing! With a completely inspired never the same weekly menu, it was one of the best gifts for a culinary enthusiast like me. One of the best places for high quality gourmet food in Charleston. If you’re looking for a place to dazzle, Noah’s is the place to go.

What a great evening! We chose Chilean sea bass that was excellent. The greens and beans soup was quite tasty on a cold evening. The coffee and crime brûlée was divine for the finishing touch. Noah was so gracious to come to the table along with the great service by our waiter Jeff. What a great restaurant choice for Charleston. Noah’s doesn’t take a back seat to anyone.

New favorite place in charleston. One of the best filets I’ve had in years. The seafood soup was fantastic. Fairly extensive wine list. Gruyère puffs: yes please! Service is attentive. Happy camper right here.

We have dined at Noah’s several times now and each time the experience has been great. The food is always changing and always delicious. It is BYFAR the best restaurant in Charleston and likely the best restaurant in WV. I have had the pleasure of eating meals from many reputable chefs, José Andrés, Bryan Voltaggio, Richard Blais, Michael Simon, David Chang, Tom Colicchio, Wolfgang Puck, Karen Small… and I can comfortably say Noah’s food is on par with all of them. You can tell that he respects the food and always delivers balanced, appetizing and beautiful dishes. Every week I look forward to seeing what the new menu has to offer because I know what ever it is it will be great. As a local I feel so lucky to have this caliber of restaurant in our little city. I find the atmosphere inviting for long dinners and conversations with friends. Because the dining area is so small the atmosphere seems to change with that nights clientele. There have been times the room felt«uppity» but never because of Noah and his staff. They are always warm, welcoming, friendly and casual. The wine list is great but I do miss having a full bar. The simple fact is the food is wonderful and I look forward to every meal at Noah’s.
