Loved this place. Anna(the owner) was great. Good story too. The best part was the food. Out of this world. Just ended a week long trip through Savannah and Charleston SC where we ate at some recommend restaurants and had no better food than this. Do yourself a favor and stop in here. Their Reuben is excellent and you can’t go wrong with the flatbreads.

Just in town for one night after riding all day and arriving around 7:00 pm, I wasn’t sure where to go for dinner. I wanted a frosty adult beverage or two, and wanted it close to my hotel(aka within staggering distance). So, I set out on foot to see what I could find. The hotel had a brochure in my room with local places listed in ads. Timothy’s was in there, so I thought I’d give them a try. Walked downstairs into a cold, dark bar with loud music playing and TV screens lining the walls. Not another customer in the place, which suited me just fine. The bartender introduced herself as Nicole and kindly explained the drink specials, which included descriptions and tastings of local offerings. I decided on the hard cider, Gumption, and pulled pork Sammie with slaw and a pickle. It was melt in my mouth delicious and tender, with just the right amount of sauce. To finish it off, I ordered the peach cobbler a la mode. Again, not disappointed! Whether you’re in town for a day or a week, I would recommend giving this place a try. I visited on a Saturday when there were other events going on in town, otherwise they would normally have live music on the weekends. Worth a second visit? Absolutely!

Have been here a few times now and this place is a different venue every night of the week. From laid back dart league nights to jam packed live music weekends. There’s probably a good day of the week for everyone to check it out. I’ve seen funk bands, hair metal and even some classic lounge music here. That variety is matched in food, drink, and atmosphere. Timothy’s has a wide open entrance for big groups and live music and the lounge area in the back with the bar occupying the space between. There is a patio outside though be prepared to make trips up and down if the Quarrier diner isn’t open. Food is very tasty, it’s bar food done well but plenty of choices. Beer selection is pretty solid but not outstanding though they are getting new stuff pretty regularly and they try to highlight WV beers on tap when possible. Plenty of TVs for sports and trivia nights. Bartenders were very friendly and very helpful for a new transplant to the area like myself.

Great food with a friendly atmosphere. Bartender was friendly and knowledgeable about various topics. Good selection of local beers. Will definitely visit again, and frequently.

I really want to like Timothy’s but I’m more or less indifferent. Three stars is probably generous but, hey, they try. Mostly. The beer selection is decent but not great. Prices are good but not great. Bar is good but not great. Seeing a trend?

They’ve simplified the menu to standard barfare but do it very well. What’s special are the desserts — seasonal dependent and home made. The bartender and owner have a good relationship with distributors so they get seasonal Brews before everyone else. It’s my favorite bar in town. Also the numerous tv’s are great for game day without being too overpowering of the atmosphere.

Loving this casual bar and the restaurant above it(Quarrier Diner). They usually have live music on weekends and a pretty good food and drink selection daily. The menu has changed since they first opened and it’s more bar type food; I recommend the BBQ pulled pork sandwich with kettle chips. The lighting is dim but there are big screen TVs on the walls and neon lights under the bar. Edited to add an extra star: the menu and food keep getting better, and the bartenders and waitstaff are always wonderfully friendly!

Make sure you drink before you get here. The service is extremely slow or they don’t have what you want.
