Awesome… food and restaurant and people are all great. Been here many times. My family loves the sushi, and it has greet presentation.

Passing through Charleston, I didn’t quite want to come to a place that mixes different cuisines. But, it was busy and open, and we were hungry. Didn’t order the sushi — I just had sushi I. Tokyo last week, and we’re not going to recreate that experience here. I went for the red curry. It was basic in terms of ingredients, but really quite tasty. My girlfriend’s pad see eww came lots of nice green bits. A little dry, if anything. Now, I wouldn’t expect world-class authentic food, but for $ 12 or so, these were nice dinners. The restaurant seemed clean enough.

I really liked my experience here. The food was delicious I had the Orange Chicken and I ordered an «Asiantini» form the bar they were both great(the Asiantini would have been better if they’d used real OJ instead of SunnyD) and I’d love to go again and I recommend this place entirely.

This is the go-to place for our entire family. We are there at least once a week and get takeout regularly(hate that they discontinued delivery). Everything is great and the wait staff is very nice.

Let’s start with the good — the menu has a pretty wide variety of Pan-Asian cuisine that you really can’t find anywhere else, and the lunch specials are reasonably priced. The food is pretty good, as well. Other than that cleanliness is a HUGE problem here. Sometimes the smell is overpowering and takes away any appetite, that combined with the filthy carpet and run down interior really don’t make it a very inviting place to eat. And to boot, the last time I dined there a mouse ran across my foot. No amount of variety, inexpensive deals, or savory fare will let me get over the gross out factor.

Excellent food. Their Vietnamese spring rolls equal the best I’ve had anywhere. The panang curry is super. If you like Asian this cannot be beat.

I came here because some local people recommended it and said it’s the best. Previously I have tried Main Tin two doors down. It’s more like your general Chinese restaurant with a buffet. Taste of Asia is a little fancier. The menu is extensive with a good sushi selection and interesting specials. I got the gyoza as an appetizer because it’s my favorite. It was $ 4.50 and I got 5⁄6(can’t remember sorry!) little dumplings(see pictures). The texture was good and they were pan fried perfectly but the filling didn’t have a lot of flavor. For my entrée I got Pad Thai. The presentation was awesome. I also had 7 giant shrimp in there. As for flavor, it was a little different than other pad Thai I’ve had. It was more on the tangy/sour side. It was good, but that’s just not the flavor I like in my Pad Thai. Other than that it was pretty good and you get a decent amount for $ 11.50. The wait staff was friendly… The younger girls didn’t talk much and weren’t bubbly or anything but I really don’t mind that. There was a manager-like man who was really friendly and checked on my and got my check for me. They had a really good drink and mixed drink selection. The restaurant seemed clean except for my knife which stuck to my napkin from some sticky substance left on it. I gave this place 3 stars because although the selection is awesome, for the price I could just go down the street and get Chinese at Main Tin. This does seem like a good place to go out with friends in the evening though, and the food is beautiful.

We were passing Charleston, and I was in the mood for Thai. My boyfriend loves sushi, so we decided to try Taste of Asia because it offers both. I wish we had kept on driving. The restaurant was dirty. Everywhere. There were a TON of dirty dishes all over the bar, glasses, plates, EVERYTHING. The restaurant was almost empty. The service was terrible. The waitress didn’t even make eye contact or crack a smile once. No suggestions, no help, whatsoever. I had to go find someone to get me a glass of wine from the bar, because our waitress took our order, and then disappeared for 30 minutes. The appetizers were horrible. The chicken satay was the WORST I have had. Ever. In my life. I swear it had actually been cooked, on the sticks, in the microwave. The temperature of everything was the same. Sushi, Chicken, Salad… all room temperature. Nauseating. I would have sent them back, but as I didn’t see ANYEMPLOYEES in between silently dropping plates on the table, this was impossible. It was 8:00; not like it was the end of the shift. The«Thai» dinners were a joke. Pad Thai tasted like microwaved mush. This was supposed to be a nice birthday dinner, and we dropped $ 100 on garbage. So disappointing.

The reason for my semi-low rating is only because I haven’t found anything I personally enjoyed eating there after visiting three times. Although, I think the food was just fine, but it just wasn’t my type of food. The service was great, people were friendly and the environment was also classy. I love Japanese food, Indian food and of course, Chinese food, but this wasn’t like any of that, and to me, I was disappointed. But I will continue to go back and try more selections, they have a large menu and my friends like the place and their food, so I’ll give it another go.

We had sushi here about 2 years ago and it was not a good experience. That kept us away till about three months ago. Decided to give the Chinese a try. WOW! Great presentation, fresh, expertly cooked veggies and pleasant surroundings. The eggplant in garlic sauce is my standard measure of an asian restaurant. Their’s passed with flying flavors. The eggplant was of the small, long variety, sliced length-wise, firm with a chewy skin which i enjoy. The sauce was not overly thickened, garlicy with a black bean hint. All the dishes we ordered were brightly presented and the vegetables were perfect, firm and fresh. Good portions. I recommend highly the Chinese menu. Nice to have Chinese brought to your table like the old days before the super buffets.

I cannot comprehend why people like this place. Sure, the servings of food look pretty but… 1. It reeks to high heaven of old fish in here. You can’t even notice the oil smells that I hope are there. 2. The food is gross. The two times I’ve been I’ve gotten opposite ends of the scale: overcooked and undercooked. 3. The sushi is none too fresh. Can we say food poisoning, y’all?

Good variety of food, but probably for me, the best aspect of Taste of Asia is the fact they serve Kirin beer. Their Peking duck was good, but nothing spectacular. The wait staff is always friendly.
