I started using Simply Fresh due to a groupon. At first, I thought they were great. My variety box arrived every Friday and made my weekend with organic produce of veggies and fruit. But as it continued, I often received the same thing over and over again so I had a excess of apples, onions and sweet potatoes. Additionally, with a custom box, there is never any mention as to what is included in it so it’s always a surprise when it arrives. I eventually changed to a custom box where I could pick my own veggies. When I changed to the custom box, the quality suffered. There were inconsistencies in the order as well. One week I would order cucumbers and get big cucumbers and the next I get mini-cucumbers with no mention of this on the ordering page. Additionally fruit and veggies arrived damaged or partially spoiled. So while I appreciate what they do and I am still signed up for their service, I am playing the field now and trying another service that a friend recommended. I will say I never had any problems with their customer service. However in the days of the internet, most of us expect to be able to change things online rather than email/phone.

Tried this with a Groupon and the box of food was decent. It contained all the fresh veggies and fruit that I needed for my family of four for a week(this was the medium fresh select box). However, I tried to cancel the recurring subscription that I didn’t know they signed me up for and they billed me anyways. I asked for a refund twice, and a month later have still not gotten my refund. They NEVER answer the phone when I call, and eventually I have gotten call backs when I left a message. I like the idea of this service, but they sure need to get the business end of things straight. Based on other reviewers having the same problem I’d say it may end up being more convenient to just buy the things yourself.

I have been begging Simply Fresh for a refund for 1 month with no response. Our box arrived without $ 20+ of steaks we paid for/ordered. The box was left baking in the sun on our porch WITHCHICKEN inside and NOICE! The FAQ portion of their website claims they use ice for such things, but our chicken was hot, kale was wilted, and cauliflower was moldy. We’ve emailed and called multiple times with promises that the«owner» will contact us soon… it has been a month now. I contacted the Better Business Bureau today. My family and friends have used this company for a while with minor problems here and there, but taking money and providing no product as well as delivering raw hot meat, is just completely unacceptable. No one I know will use this company again.

I have tried to contact SimplyFresh before writing this review but my messages were not returned. My produce was delivered with no eggs which I paid for — the other produce was wilted and the strawberries were rotten and I will never use this again.
