Closed? Gone? Seeing reviews from April and May, I figured I would hop in the car and bring my mower to the guy on Saturday 6⁄13. the hours for his website say 10am-5pm on Saturdays. I try calling, but only get voicemail I get to the address on the website and it’s just a regular house in a cul-de-sac…but it says For Sale out front and the driveway is empty. I go up to the door, and not only is there no answer or sign of life, but there’s a real estate key-box on the door handle. I didn’t want to have the mower heating up in the car all day during my hours of other errands, so I had to bring it to my second choice place. So unless the guy had a temporary foreclosure, or changes the address/hours/phone very quickly, pass this one by and don’t waste your time.

First of all, communication is poor. Seems to have a weird phobia about answering his door or meeting anyone face-to-face. If the work was adequate, that would be one thing. However, it wasn’t. Even though belt was replaced and self-propel mechanism works, mower won’t stay started for more than 1 second. Hence, it was NOT repaired and email regarding mower not being functional was never returned. Look elsewhere for mower repair.

Business is good and Bruce is a busy guy! He got back to me after I left a voicemail. I had no idea what to tell him was wrong with the mower, he picked it up form my house, quoted me a reasonable price for repairs and even though it took a while to get the machine back, Bruce dropped it back off at my house with some words of guidance(do I look like I’ve mowed a lot of lawns in my life??). He’s knowledgable, very professional and I would highly recommend to anyone. I’d also recommend you plan for how long he needs to diagnose and repair — worth the wait.

Bruce was quick to respond to my online inquiry. He came to pick up my mower the next day and had it repaired and returned two days after that. His rates were reasonable and my mower has been working great ever since.

I’m with Chad W. below. I dropped off a chain saw and the conversation on the phone was very positive. However, he never called me back or gave me a diagnosis and it’s not that hard to make a one minute call. He had the saw for weeks. Finally, I just went and picked up my broken chain saw and then he gave me an estimate. But by then it was too late. I’m sure he could fix the chain saw and his rates were reasonable but since this is apparently a side business, he just doesn’t have the time to repair promptly. Too bad, because he is a very nice man.

Bruce was friendly and knowledgable and I enjoyed working with him. He came to my house, looked over my mower, took it away in his truck, then brought it back a week later, good as new! I have a small lawn and he recommended getting it serviced every two years. I will definitely be using him again when that time comes!

After I made a lot of effort to get back in touch, Bruce actually came to my house to fix the mower. I definitely appreciate him making it right and driving to me, I just wish we could have resolved the issue sooner. His work is great, he knows what he’s doing, but the communication could be better.

Bruce was great to work with and gave me an honest opinion on the fate of my power washer. The free diagnosis was much appreciated and helped me put my money towards a new washer since the engine had lost compression.
