Big Lots

Let me qualify my rating by saying first that I am rating BL as an über-​discount, every-​store among its peers. They carry a lot of different stuff, decent quality, at good prices (in some cases GREAT prices). They also carry brands are difficult to find in other places so exploring the aisles is like a treasure hunt.
Every employee I encountered was nice and/​or helpful. Although I enjoyed a chuckle with one employee who was busy cleaning a spill, he must be one of a few who straighten regularly because it’s typically disheveled. It doesn’t feel dirty but it is a bit dated. I think it’s a result of folks mining for the diamonds that are sure to be there.

Big Savings… little cleaning. This location is underwhelming. I used to get excited about the electronics area (camera cases, tablet sleeves, etc) but the inventory seems different now. I rushed in to find a micro SD card. There was only one choice but that was all I needed.
I was impressed that the manager was approving a return with only the receipt and not the original box.
There are fun finds from time to time but I wouldn’t go out of my way to stop in.
Don’t use the women’s restroom. I can’t imagine that the men’s room is any better.
