Goodwil

First of all, I hate this parking lot. I’ve visited several times to drop off donations and nearly every time, the parking lot is packed and everyone has some sort of road rage issue. Anyways, the actual store is one of the most unorganized Goodwill locations I have ever visited. The other Goodwill in Charlottesville seems to have more modern inventory.

I agree with previous posters that this particular Goodwill is smaller than others I have visited. I did find lots of things in decent shape and easily found great things in my size. The store is well laid out and several workers greeted or asked if I was finding everything alright. I appreciated several of their housewares items as well. The solid wood dresser for $ 35 was a steal to me! I do wish the books had been categorized by type but that was my only complaint!

I stopped in today while I was in the area and was pleasantly surprised. They have quite a few items that still have the tags. I found a size 14 Jonathan Martin dress, brand new with tags for $ 4.00, white Seven for All Mankind jeans for 3.50 and a cute Merona (Target) black and white shirt for 3.50. Just like any Goodwill, you must search for the treasures but I would say, I found some great items! All adult shoes are 2.50 but the looked like they should be that price, they were all old and very worn-​perhaps all the good ones had already been purchased! They had some great Christmas items that were cheaper here than I’ve ever seen at other Goodwill’s and trust me, I visit numerous Goodwill’s. This was my second visit to this location and I will definitely go back the next time I’m in the area, it’s worth a stop!

this goodwill is smaller than the boston ones i am used to; but there are still treasures to be found in here! You really have to dig through the clothes but i found several cute blouses and scarves to take home. The housewares section is somewhat lacking, but maybe i’ll check back and have better luck. Overall, small… but glad we have it in our area.
