Clean place and good staff. Surprised this place isn’t as full when we arrived, but they were very helpful and funny

Sebastian does an awesome French mani and pedi. I also get my eyebrows done here and like the way they do mine. Great prices and great service!

Not completely horrible but definitely nowhere near good or great. Right off the bat I wasn’t thrilled with their selection of polished and then once I sat down to get my manicure the woman(who was sniffling and coughing) talked the whole time to the tech next to her and I felt very awkward. She was alright with shaping my nails and cuticles but my polish job left a lot to be desired. I could have done a better job myself. The whole thing felt rushed. My mom whom I went with had an even worse experience, the polish job was awful and the guy didn’t even put a top coat on before he hustled her to the dryer. Will defiantly be looking for another salon for next time. Don’t waste your time and money, go elsewhere!

This is hands down one of the worst nail salon I have been to(and I’ve been to quite a few). Was there for a pedicure and shellac manicure. The whole service was rushed to begin with. In addition to the majority of the staff being RUDE(minus the younger blonde woman), the shellac bubbled and peeled off within two days of application. Considering this usually lasts for at least two weeks, I was very disappointed. I would have gone back and complained if I had not just been in Charlottesville for the weekend. Would not make a point to go to this salon.

Surprise, surprise! Yet another mediocre nail salon in Charlottesville! I went to Happy Nails this past labor day to get a pedicure. As was expected, I had to wait a decent while for an available nail technician; however, the woman at the front desk set up a warm water bath for me, so I was able to fool around with the massage chair. I was a little caught off guard about how stressed and tense the employees of the nail salon seemed. I don’t know if that was normal or if it was due to the influx of customers because of the holiday. Regardless, it didn’t make for a relaxing experience. As for the actual pedicure, the overall experience was average, but I do have one gripe in particular: my technician painted«outside the lines», if you will, and attempted to clean it up afterwards with a cotton swab, but she failed to remove all the excess nail polish. On the plus side, since this nail salon is 15 minutes from Grounds, it’s not overwhelmed with students.

My toe nails were not happy. I didn’t particularly like their selection of polishes and then when he cut my toe nails they weren’t straight. The water was cold initially and they had to turn the hot water on. He punched the heck out of my feet while massaging. Sigh… I was visiting from out of town. Would not go back.

Large salon with many stations. Okay job with the mani/pedi, but the nail tech didn’t get into the nitty gritty with the cuticle and extra skin like I like them to do. Plenty of time massaging the feet, though. Nail places always prefer tips to be in cash, and Happy Nails is no exception.
