Had lunch with my wife here today. Halfway through my sub I realized the bread was moldy. Returned to the counter and was offered a refund or a remade sandwich, along with a feigned apology. Requested another sandwich, but the one they brought out was not what I ordered and the staff seemed inconvenienced at this point. Requested refund and will not return.

I have ordered delivery from here three times. All three times hey can never figure out how to get into my gated community even though it’s right on the grub hub print out. Also twice they sent me the wrong sandwich. Totally different than what I ordered. They are also ALWAYS out of something whether it be their soup or cookies. What a disappointment. I’ll stick to the one on the corner… Which is amazing btw.

Maybe it depends on the day you come but my sandwich was pretty pitiful. Suppose to be 3 cheese but I think it was about half a slice. Oh well, good place to wait for the movie to start, I guess.

Our food was delicious, the place was exceptionally clean, and the service was very friendly. Stayed one night in Charlottesville while on a trip and found this deli close to the hotel. Very family friendly and our kids loved the food. In fact our little family got into a debate over who had the most delicious sandwich. Mojo chicken if course was the winner! When passing through again we will be back!

Why do you have New York or deli in your name. This is the level of a sandwich you’d get at one of those office building delis. Didn’t trust the corned beef after seeing that they shaved it. As I was watching the prep I saw them pull the cheese steak meat out of a Bain Marie warmer precooked. Seeing all the grilled offerings I began to look for a grill. Non existent. They grill and toast in a convection oven. I got the club thinking if was the safest option. Soggy low quality wheat bread. Soggy almost indistinguishable bacon. The only thing Ny about this place is the Dr Browns. And even with that there was no cel ray. Did I mention no onion rings or fries or pickles. I want half my money back. I never write reviews but I needs to do this. Hope any of you New Yorkers that come by here go straight to the salads and keep your expectations low. Ok I’m done now. Going to try to consume the second half of my soggy club.

Went there for a quick lunch a few days ago. It was delicious, satisfying, and reasonably priced. The place was clean and comfortable. The girls behind the counter were courteous and the guy at the register was pleasant and efficient. I had the California sun which was great. Beware the flatbreads are not a lot of food but that’s fine by me, just be aware. Others with me had great-looking sandwiches as well, nuclear and steak and cheese. All in all this was a fine deli experience. Will go back.

Location is great, good shopping all around. Little johns has good service, clean and all around great sandwich shop. Would recommend this for anyone great for groups or just a sandwich before the movies.

My wife and I order from here usually a couple times a week. We have never physically been in the store, so this review is based on the food alone. However, based on the food, this is one of our favorite places to order from hands-down. My wife is a fan of their salads, of which they have a bunch of different kinds, and I am more a fan of their sandwiches. My personal favorite sandwich is the Nuclear. Although it’s not particularly spicy, it’s a good mix of barbeque tastes evened out with some lighter ones. All in all, this is a place I’d recommend to someone else. The prices are fair, the food is good, and the delivery time has always been reasonable whenever I order from them. I’m not sure where other negative reviews are coming from, but I have had nothing but good experiences thus far.

Hello Little John’s, I had an experience with your Stonefield location tonight that I think you should be aware of. I made an order at around 5pm through an online ordering platform. After an hour or so of waiting, I called the store to inquire about the reason behind the delay. I was told there was a hold-up and that my order would take an additional 40 minutes to arrive to Darden(not far away from Stonefield). I was then put through to a man who said he was the manager this evening and I proceeded to ask him whether he thought it was reasonable for an order of this size to take almost two hours to arrive. He then proceeded to speak rudely, with attitude and a complete lack of professionalism as though I knew him personally. Instead of apologizing for the delay and offering to cancel my order, this manager was rude and defensive and had an attitude of «if you do not like it then leave.» I found that disrespectful and inappropriate and as a business owner, that is not something I would tolerate. While it is indeed a small matter, I am sure you are aware that as a business owner and franchiser, these small moments is where you win and lose your customers. I am sad to say that tonight, you have certainly lost one.

Considering how much I adore Littlejohn’s on The Corner, the fact this place is so mediocre really hurts. I’ll say this up front — if you’re deciding between going to this location or the one on The Corner, GOTOTHEONEONTHECORNER. I’m not sure how they messed it up, but the quality of the sandwiches and the competence of the staff suffered greatly. This is a really upsetting as this location has a much nicer, less cramped layout — beautiful open spaces with plenty of parking, a long counter, comfortable booths, and plenty of seating. My girlfriend and I didn’t have any of the experiences with rude employees, just that the sandwiches tasted and looked different than what we were used to from the original location. The staff seemed easily overwhelmed and aren’t as quick making the sandwiches. We ordered our old standbys, the Blue Max and the Nuclear, for comparison sake. They were both pretty good, but slightly off — my nuclear had little coleslaw on it(but lots of pulled BBQ chicken), and the Blue Max had almost no sprouts(in the corner location the sprouts are on top, not in the hoagie, and it’s overflowing). Overall, it’s really not as bad as the reviews indicate, and it’s still probably one of the best places to eat at Stonefield. If the other Littlejohn’s downtown didn’t exist, my review would probably be more positive. However, do yourself a favor and go to The Corner location. The original is still the best.

I stopped in to grab some sandwiches to go for dinner about a month ago. The place was totally dead. It was really clean, and the service was super speedy. I went to order the mushroom melt, which is what I usually get at the corner location. They told me they didn’t carry mushrooms at this location, which was pretty disappointing. If there are only two of them in city, I really feel that they should be consistent and carry the same menu items. I wanted a regular sandwich at least, but they didn’t have any other vegetarian specialty subs, so I ended up having to order the California Sun flatbread. It was just okay, and I didn’t like that I went in wanting a specific sandwich, and then they didn’t even have it on their menu. They still had the oven fries, which was made this visit slightly redeeming.

The last time I went to Little Johns it was a long time ago and it at the one at PVCC. The food was good. When I learned that there was a Little Johns over at the Shops at Stonefield, I hesitated for a while and today, I went on GrubHub and placed an order for a sandwich. I thought it going to be at least 10 – 15 min but it took 2 hours for them to deliver my order. Jimmy Johns is quicker than that place. The food was still good, but next time, i’ll just go over there and pick it up myself.

Horrible food and rude service. First off I was told it would a 10 minute wait for meatballs which I was fine with but then the meatball sub was cold and was not very good. Fries were cold and way too thick, no coffee brewed so we had to wait 5 min’s for coffee, My Mom’s steak sub was also cold and said it tasted bad. We complained to the manager who told my Mom too bad and not to come back again. He was very rude and not the way to treat paying customers. This is the second and last time I’ll eat at this restaurant. Go to the corner Little John’s which much much better.

I stayed at the Hyatt Place for two weeks for work. This was a decent option within easy walking distance. The salads were delicious, and the small was super filling even after a run. Now the subs were nothing special, and a bit bland. The tortilla chips were better than the sandwiches. The staff were slow, and unfriendly. My first visit there I asked the guy if this was a popular chain like Potbelly or Jimmy John’s, and he gave me the weirdest look almost to say, «do you want a sandwich or not.» Then, I made the mistake to ask him if the salads were pretty good, and I got a gruff, «I don’t eat salads.» Okay playah, I get it. Leave you the hell alone, you hate your job. Oh well. The shop was clean, and the prices reasonable for my per diem. Also, being from Atlanta… Whaaaaat! That actually may be the best thing about this place.

We we’re on our way to Jimmy Johns when someone recommended Little Johns. Anyway, this was closer so we tried it out. My co-worker and I got the Pepper Parm Turkey and Bum Steer and liked them both. The employees were nice – maybe they read previous reviews – and the place was clean.

WHAT??? Sorry, as an Atlanta resident now, I had to get the Lil’ Jon reference out of the way. So, when my local friends were rattling off names of places to get some lunch from, when the name«Little John’s» came up, I was like«What’s Little John’s?» and so it was decided that we would go to Littlejohn’s. WHAT? Now Stonefield is the prototypical commercial zone dropped down from the heavens like in SimCity that has taken residence in the northern part of Charlottesville, a town that always remains synonymous with me for UVA and the first time I’d ever seen and dined at a Bojangles. It’s kind of funny how most commercial zones always have«Stone» or «Field» integrated into their names, but they’ve somehow managed to come together to make the penultimate commercial zone name in Charlottesville. Semantics aside, Stonefield is clean, modern looking, and has plenty of free parking, with Littlejohn’s located right across from the movie theater, making it a good inexpensive option for food before or after a movie. As for Littlejohn’s itself, I found the interior to be clean, airy, and really feeling like a traditional deli. Granted, whenever I think of New York delis, I typically expect to find a corned beef sandwich with like four pounds of meat vainly held together by two pieces of rye which Littlejohn’s didn’t seem to have, but whatever, we live in a, or perhaps I’m just a more health-conscious person, so it’s irrelevant. The menu is pretty expansive, but not so overflowing with words and unnecessary adjectives that it makes it difficult to make a choice. A part of me cringed at seeing the Sampson and the 21 Society sandwiches, because it dawned on me that this was clearly a UVA joint, even if we were in C’ville(Go Hokies WHAT). I joked with my friends that when the Joe Harris comes out after his number is retired, if it’s going to be peanut butter and jelly, or bologna and a Kraft single on Wonder bread with crusts cut off. The pepper parmesan turkey on flatbread was pleasing, and I found it to be a fairly unique combination of ingredients. Which is another way of saying«good integration of sprouts that doesn’t really make you feel like you’re eating sprouts.» Tortilla round chips as a side without any salsa or kind of dip is a little odd, but they’re essentially filler anyway. An order of baked potato slices was far more sufficient. Prices are fair, and you can easily eat a quality sandwich for under $ 10, if you’re willing to forego the soda or bottled drink. Bottom line is, Littlejohn’s is a clean establishment serving decent food in a convenient location, at adequate prices. It’s a nice reprieve from all the chains of 29, without having to get too deep into campus for too college-y dives.

Just no comparison to the one in town. We had such a great lunch at that location we decided to eat again at the chain a little closer to our hotel. Eh… this place isn’t even on the same level. Everything feels… disconnected here. I don’t really know how to describe it. Our sandwiches weren’t as bulging as the other location so we already felt gyped, my soda tasted flat and my others’ beer was spilled on the counter by the cashier. She had to literally argue with him to give her another at no cost. He was about to charge her twice for HIS mistake? Gimme a break. We ended up sucking it up and traveling to the other location after boxing up the food we got for here our dogs back home. Half an hour later, we had the same amazing experience we had the day before. Go figure. It’s this particular location, not the chain itself.

I just had a perfectly nice lunch here. Clean bright open space(if a bit loud), and a good turkey sandwich(Wild Turkey) with lots of meat on it. They have a wide selection of beverages, cookies and muffins. The employees were all very nice. It was after the lunch rush, so things were pretty calm. It’s a good choice if you’re out and about in Stonefield.

This place is terrible. Their employees are miserable people who scowl at you while you order your food. I have given this place 3 tries and leave annoyed every time. They don’t get your order right(which could be forgivable if they were remotely respectful.) The first time, they gave me «chip dust» instead of corn chips. It’s ridiculous how terrible this place is. You feel like you’re in a candid camera bit with service this bad. I’ve never heard a thank you. The second trip, I ordered a large soda but they were out of large cups. They charged me for it and told me refills were free. Oh, AND, they were out of lids for the cups so I couldn’t take it to go without a spill. Ugh! Today was no different if not worse. The cashier abruptly screams your name as your order is ready then ignores you when you pick it up. The 1 star is because I couldn’t give them zero.
