My buddy Fraser likes to go here for the beers and to my knowledge they’ve got quite a good selection. Sadly when I came with him I was hoping to satisfy my bold rock craving under the perfect weather outside but they had ran out. He enjoyed his Blackberry cider though. Definitely a nice, casual, relaxing place to have a drink. Went here before for a Steal the Pint!

Pathetic. Service here is the perfect example of why people in our industry get a wrap as apathetic, careless and aloof. When brought to the«manager’s» attention the smile in my face might as well have been a «fuck you, we’re right, you’re wrong.» Thanks guys, but some of us do care.

Good bar food. Fried green tomato salad was a different twist. Sitting outside in the mall was great.

Millers lives up to its legendary reputation. Three levels. Great food, great patrons. Great service. Third floor sports bar a great place to shoot pool, watch games and if you like cigars… check it out. Music was great.

Went in for a beer prior to dinner at Shebeen; the bar was comfy, environment was cozy, and the bar staff very helpful with the extensive range of tap beers. They had a selection of 16, and great to see they did flights(5 oz per glass) of 4 beers for USD7. We paid USD14 to try 4 stouts and 4 lagers, ranging from the intensely strong, to very light wheat beer. Well worth a try, but watch out of the ABV, these beers are tasty but will get your head spinning after a pint. Very reasonable value, nice environment for a pub.

There is just something about a «fresh out the fryer» corn dog, or two, that can put a smile on anyones face and bring you back to your youth. Miller’s in Charlottesville Virginia wasn’t messing around with these glorious hand dipped jalapeño battered hebrew national hot dogs accompanied by fries. These corn dogs were out of this world. Not only is it rare to see corn dogs on a menu that isn’t a drive-in, but this entrée was listed under the«Favorites» …and rightfully so. There was subtle heat from the jalapeños in the batter, and there was just enough crunch from being perfectly deep fried. I don’t normally eat TWO corn dogs, but they were just so good I didn’t want to leave it up to chance that they would be good as leftovers.

Great atmosphere, interesting jazz band playing. Veggie burger sucked, but I’d still go back for the atmosphere and try other treats.

Great vibe for college and older. Sort of a dive bar and the staff is incredibly nice and personable. Had a great time just grabbing burgers and beers with friends(including veggie burgers). A very chill atmosphere to watch the game and hang out!

Most awful service of any establishment. We ordered nachos without beef and chicken instead and got charged a 50% surprise surcharge. No warning. Beer ordered that the waitress indicated was 0.75 on happy hour tuned out to be $ 4. When we asked we were told it was our fault of not reading the prices and the fine print. Go here at your own risk and if you want bad service with an attitude. We ordered the nachos which were burnt and really bad quality.

Great dive bar rich with local history, particularly a rock band that form here, but didn’t really play. I found the burger to be fantastic, and the lobster bisque soup was great. A bucket list stop for a days long past, checked off. There still no blue water, still, but the place was great. I ate, drank, and was merry. So tomorrow’s not looking so good, eh hippies?

Came here for a quick meal after hanging out at Monticello. We snagged a table on the top level and enjoyed some decent but nothing to write home about burgers. It was nice seeing a long list of toppings you can add on, though, including avocado, beef chili, and fried egg. Also on the list: peanut butter. I was almost curious enough to try it. It comes with a side, and while they have pretty good fries, I would recommend the grilled asparagus. Nice char grilled flavor. I was surprised to see they had a pool hall up there, too. Very large and space efficient. The best part of the meal was seeing Bell’s Kalamazoo porter on the menu. Well done. It was delicious, a perfect pairing with my grub.

Today was the perfect day for a mid-afternoon beer on the mall. We grabbed a table outside on the mall and just ordered drinks. They have a decent beer selection with some local brews. I tried two different beers, neither of which were fantastic. I’ll have to go back on another beautiful day to enjoy the outdoor seating and to try the food.

Had lunch here today while shopping in historic Charlottesville. The only reason I gave this place four stars was due to the wait for food. I was starving but I read the warning in the menu so I was aware. They have a very small kitchen so food takes time. The service was attentive and the food that comes out is very good. They do have decent drink specials and a very extensive bar. There were five of us. I had the jalapeño corn dogs with fries. Nice twist and just enough bite. Two full hot dogs per order. My daughter had the cheese steak. We decided to split our meals. The cheese steak was awesome. The steak tender and the cheese was melty cheesy goodness. The hubby had the Mouth of the South burger. It was quite the mouthful too. It came with pimento cheese and bacon and was stacked high with the fixins. He loved it. The other two teens at our table had chicken tenders, real white meat not pressed and were more like strips than tenders, and Pot stickers I was told these were tasty as well and the dipping sauce really good. I would recommend this place and will likely be back next time we visit C’ville.

Great beer list. Tasty fish and chips. The fish was a beer-battered(alluded to PBR in the menu) cod. Batter was light and crisp. Cod was light and flaky. Fries were dusted in a Cajun seasoning. Friendly and quick service. If it’s winter make sure to sit back from the dour or in the second floor. It was unseasonably cold on our visit and sitting near the front door, along the bar we consistently got blasted by cold air whenever the door opened.

We wanted something quick and tasty after a day of brewery tours. Miller’s seemed to fit the bill. Wrong! I think we got the short stick with our server. It took about 15 minutes to get beer, we placed an order for the fried pretzels(which were the highlight, SO odd but delicious), took forever for those, then our waitress disappeared for no joke 30 minutes. Never saw her again, and had to ask the other very attentive server in our section for our tab. But that aside, the beer list is pretty good, very local, but pricey(isn’t this a college town? How do kids afford $ 7 pours?). The food too was much pricier than at first glance, all a la carte. Start with a $ 7.99 burger, but cheese is $ 2, bacon was $ 2.59(that better be a LOT of bacon), sides were $ 3−4… if I’d gotten a burger with two toppings and fries, it would’ve been over $ 15. No thanks.

This 4 star rating comes from one dish: A peanut butter and jelly waffle sandwich topped with banana, ice cream and hot fudge. It tastes even better than it sounds. Beer menu is really good and the fried green tomatoes were outstanding! Great restaurant.

Review is for the bar drinks only, and with a large beer list and a live Bluegrass band, I may find my way back to this hipster/divey bar. A little bit of a hole-in-the wall that you may walk right by if you aren’t careful, the dulcet tones of a live Bluegrass band lured us in. We sat at the bar that runs along the left side of the wall(there is inside and outside seating) and were immediately greeted by our bartender. The have a massive beer list of mostly local domestic beer, which scores major points. One of the most interesting drinks they had was a cider with a shot of Fireball whiskey in it — it’s such a perfect combination it’s hard to believe I’ve never thought of it myself. It’s a cool place to hang out with friends on a Friday night, and live music is always a plus.

Visited Miller’s while out of town on business. My husband came up for the weekend, and we were in search of a good burger! *Pros* –Great outdoor seating. Seat yourselves, and a server will come take care of you. –Friendly staff! We all know that is hard to come by these days. –Extensive cocktail menu for the ladies, and fella. Plus, they were super cheap. I loved how they broke the drinks down into categories, to keep it real simple for those of that do not drink on the reg. Ease of use is a bonus in my book. –The menu was fun. Yep, English major nerd here, but I loved the print and colors of the menu. –Unusual items that you don’t find everyday. My husband had jalapeño corndogs. And he enjoyed them! –Generous portion sizes. Which is a minus in this country. Know when to stop people! *Cons* –My burger had zero flavor. Which is unfortunate, as I was the main one in search of a good burger. –This isn’t a con on the restaurant per se, but Charlottesville is fly city! They’re not even on the water, so I don’t know where the plague of flies is coming from at every single restaurant I went to during my two week stay! *Verdict* –Good drinks, variety of items to choose from, skip the burger.

I wanted to love this place on so many levels. First of… seating outside on the mall under the trees… a selection of beers that only cost a dollar to clean out the inventory… BURGERS!!! and other delightful menu items… plus, I love a good looking dive bar. The thing is… we stopped in for a nice lunch under the trees in the middle of a pretty long drive back to PA from NC. We ordered appropriately and while everyone around us enjoyed their food, ours never arrived. When I finally flagged down my server, she explained that they tell their guests that their food does sometimes take a while to prepare. A med-rare burger and special sandwich weren’t a complicated order, so this left me a little wary of her explanation. Finally, minutes later my food arrives and my mother still has nothing in front of her. Apparently the server forgot to ring in our order. And to be honest, after noting how busy she was, I don’t blame her. Anyway, my mom finally gets her food, our entire meal was comped and the manager was kind enough to touch our table to apologize. While the entire thing put a big delay in our trip and caused a bit of frustration, we were beyond appreciative of the steps the restaurant took to amend the unfortunate situation.
