The woman barber, Chris was awesome. I give the shop a 4 because they do not shave you. They clipper/​trim your beard. However she was good.

Used to be great, and some of the barbers still are, but I’ve gotten some of the worst haircuts of my life here recently. My dad has the same opinion. Real shame as this used to be a Cville go-​to establishment.

The lady that works here by the name of Chris was very rude making remarks out loud on how people turn the chair towards the mirror and complaining of customers while people are there, also she was eating (having lunch) on the waiting chairs in front of everyone thats getting a hair cut, rude and nasty!
Too bad there is people like this that make u never want to come back regardless of the very good job of the barber.

Solid haircut from a solid dude. He fixed the butchering that I got on an Airforce base 2 weeks ago. I had a DA photo coming up the next day and he definitely fixed the mess that was my hair.
I walked in around 5:00 and got right in a chair. The guy (Mike or Matt) was really nice and knew a lot about guns. He was also a hockey fan, so it was cool to chat about hockey.
I highly recommend this place. Prices are awesome too!

Great service, cool place and very vintage.
Professional barbers all seem very experienced. Went in for a trim and beard shaping and got exactly what I asked for the first time. They know what they are doing.
I’d recommend to any guy needing a good hair cut.

I used to go to Hair Cuttery, but Staples is much better for a men’s haircut. Very reasonable prices and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Great location, barber was friendly and very efficient. $ 14 haircut and I was sent on my way. Very old fashioned which I like, I have a similar barbershop back home and this place was just as good, they delivered in spades. 5’s all around service, cost, great haircut.

Decent place. Like $ 14 for a haircut. Nothing to write home about though. This place does have a respectable legacy and history in Charlottesville. Really good guys doing the haircut, many of whom are in their late 60’s and into the early 70’s. There have been times when they only spend about 6 – 7 minutes cutting my hair and I am not too happy with the haircut. However, it has a more cozy feel and is better than competitor Hair Cuttery.

Nostalgia galore! This place has been around for ages — and their haircuts are perfect everytime. There’s definitely a mix of barbers — some are mid 40’s, all the way up to 60’s (probably).
The one and only true barbershop I’ve ever been to.
