If you are looking for a high quality cup of coffee on «The Corner,» The Corner Joe is the best place to go. Everyday they serve a medium and dark roast from a different country, but you can get a pour over of your favorite brew if you’d like. Also has a great atmosphere to catch up with a friend or do light work.

Shenandoah Joe serves up some darn good coffee but man can they be slow! Last time I visited, I waited five minutes just for the barista to get out of the bathroom then 10 – 15 more minutes to get my order completed. With all that being said, the coffee really is supreme though and the staff is friendly and willing to chat (which might be reason for the slow service!). If you don’t have some place to be, it’s worth the wait!

I love cozy coffee places in C’ville, and Corner Joe is one of them!
They have free wifi, but you still have to ask for password.
I always rate coffee places based on classic drinks, so I ordered a small size latte. It has its amazing fruity taste to it, which kinda made it unique because I’ve never had a fruity espresso coffee in a latte before!
Not quite sure how many shots of espressos they use for a small latte, but it was fairly stronger that most lattes!
Overall, I just found another quiet and comfy coffee place in Corner and will start coming here very often!

I love visiting new cities for training. In the wee hours of the morning or the few minutes between lectures, I’m feverishly on Unilocal attempting to distill the gastronomic offerings available to me. After 42 years of life, I have confidence in my choices and especially alone, with no one else’s tastes to consider, I rarely go wrong. Such was the case with Joe’s. The cappuccino, my personal litmus test for coffee houses, was the correct proportion of liquid to foam and just the right temperature. The spot lost one star for the lackluster baked goods selection and taste.

It’s tough to find a coffee place that consistently exceeds expectations. While the options on the corner are limited, Shenandoah Joe really impressed me. I came in today (1⁄28) at 12:45 PM and the barista making my drink went to great lengths to make sure the cappuccino was the best quality. She was so friendly + polite to all of the people waiting for their orders.
I ordered a soy cappuccino too and if you’ve ever worked a bar you’ll know how hard soy milk is to foam. This was hands down the best cappuccino I’ve had. Consistently good service, good environment and great drinks~~ thank you!

To me, all that matters about coffee shops is the atmosphere. A great coffee shop, like this Joe, will have an atmosphere under which you want to linger.

Amazing coffee, wonderful staff. Only offers one decaf, however, and that as a pour-​over or French press only. Still great coffee.
I also appreciate they have a loyalty card: one punch for each cup or pot purchased. Once it is full (9 punches) you get one free. They do the same with half pound purchases. Great incentive.
