This literal hole-in-the-wall spot is the #1 place to get good food on the Downtown Mall! I have a lot of dietary restrictions that make ordering food at many restaurants difficult. But with Vu Noodles/Greenies, I never have a problem due to their vegan/vegetarian menu! The owners are really friendly and eating there will make your day even better!

Awesome! We are a family that have many allergies and need to be careful of what we put in our bellies and this place is perfect for that! Most importantly, this spot certainly proves that healthy food can be so yummy! Less is MORE here! So easy, simple, and delicious. FRESH! We were new to the area and the owner Julie was awesome, such great customer service, made my day! Recommend! If you are even thinking about it. GONOW! Hole in the wall place and perfect for a quick grab and go!

Very neat and TINY little hole-in-the wall place(actually, kind of literally) which serves vegan/vegetarian food. Comprised of Vu Noodles and Greenies and owned by the two lovely human beings Julie and Kathy, it’s a great SPOT to hit up some nice quick delicious food that’s guaranteed to be as clean as it comes. We grabbed the tofu with caramelized onions, wheat noodles, and vegan sauce, and a couple bbq jackfruit tacos and ate while chatting with Kathy. The noodles were SUPERB. Tasted like authentic Vietnamese food which is a niche that is sorely lacking in Charlottesville. In the end, they ended up being more than a little spicy for me, but it was just so good, I easily overlooked it. We took the BBQ Jackfruit tacos to go and ate them a bit later, but my eyes are definitely opened to a new way of eating jackfruit. Food was served very quickly and tasted excellent. Will definitely be coming back! ps: It really is a literal hole-in-the-wall place, more like a window where you order food, so expect to take your food to go or sit elsewhere to eat because there are literally two chairs at the counter.

What a great find. Searching for vegan options while driving by Charlottesville(surprisingly sparse selection for a college town) I was lucky enough to find this little gem and had a wonderful lunch. It’s a little hard to find since Google can lead you to the next block, but well worth a stop if you’re after a plant based meal, or if you just want some delicious healthy food. The tiny, no seat stall reminded me of little street side stands in Asia, and the character of the food did not disappoint. The BBQ sandwich was awesome, as was the Korean sandwich. Can’t wait to stop by again next time I am in town.

Not only are Julie and Kathy the nicest of humans, they whip up a mean lunch. I’m partial to the Cup O’ Wonderful — shredded cabbage and carrots with jackfruit BBQ, almonds, cilantro vaganaise and a little spice, or the carmelized onion and tofu noodles, which I get with the wide wheat noodles. Either way they’re like crack. It’s the kind of food that makes you feel good about yourself and the world. I’m not even vegan. In fact, I’m not even vegetarian. But I am a fan!
