One of our favorite restaurants on the Cape. Love the atmosphere — often have fantastic specials. Our kids love the pizza — everything we’ve had is wonderful.

BEWAREALLERGYPEOPLE! My fish was cooked perfect but came with a salad, very boring. I was very disappointed in the fact that the menu had things marked gluten free that weren’t and had very few selections. Bourbon infused cherries are not gluten free nor is regular blue cheese. There was also a flourless chocolate cake that they ruined by putting graham cracker crumbs. The menu was very misleading. The menu states«gf denotes items are gluten free as is. However, many menu options can be prepared gluten free with only slight modifications. Please ask your server.» When I asked the server which menu options could be modified, she kept repeating only the ones with a gf, which were truly only 2 items. Obviously, they need to be more educated about all food allergies. I would not go again. Beware celiac people!

Finally! After facing burn out on fish and chips, we were losing hope that there were any trendy-type, high quality restaurants in Chatham, when we stumbled across Del Mar. Our server was sweet and professional and the food was amazing. I had the salmon and my husband, the tuna. Both perfectly executed. The wine selection was well thought out and priced well. We will be back next time we’re in town.

We spent the week in Chatham and enjoyed the food here so much we came two nights in a row. We both had fish dishes(cod and salmon) and they were fantastic.

We ate at Del Mar our first night in Cape Cod. Very kind and friendly waitress named Janeane. Gave us recommendations for our trip while we are in town. Food and drinks were delicious and the service was excellent. I would highly recommend!

It was a 2.5. The food was mediocre. I had the polenta as an app and the Margareta pizza. The polenta was extremely sweet and the pizza was fine. The hostesses were snobby, and they wouldn’t tell us how long it would be for our table for a very long time. It was too long of a wait for a Tuesday on an offseason.

Delicious and great service! Top notch seafood. Had a marvelous time. Even though it’s mid April it was a Saturday night on the Cape, so we made a 6pm reservation and man that was smart! The place gets full and Loud. Planning is key. I’ll definitely go back — maybe a Monday?

Good food… little necks and chorizo apps and shared the pasta bolognese. Ate at the bar but did not feel the welcome from the male bartender! Quite off putting! Would go back but would not eat at the bar again.

Restaurant is always busy, a sign of consistent and well prepared food. Sat at the bar so much faster than we thought. The food was impeccably prepared. The little neck clam appetizer was fresh and vibrant. My wife and I shared a salad that was more than enough for two. We also shared one of the specials of the evening, seared yellowfin tuna. This would’ve been too much for a single person. It was fresh and flavorful. I would recommend this dish highly. As always, this restaurant never disappoints us.

The duck is the best thing I’ve ever had in my life. No lie. It was the best duck ever. The maple glaze with cranberries made it so good. Expensive but worth it for such amazing tasting food. Quality does come at a price.

We finally tried Del Mar after years and years of passing it by wondering how it was, and let me tell you it was great. The drinks were great, the Filet Mignon was fantastic, and the service was solid. For a classier dinner out in Chatham without going all out to Chatham Bars Inn or something equivalent, you definitely won’t go wrong here. Next time we need to try the raw bar, as that is the one thing my wife regretted not trying.

This place seems to be packed frequently. We had 9:30pm reservations for a party of 12 and had to wait at least 15−20mins before being seated. Overall the food was very good, a decent drink selection. There is outside seating as well that seems to be very popular. Their seafood is fresh, very good food, and appetizers are definitely large enough to share.

We just had one of the best dinners ever. I am sure that our waitress(Joni) was a big part of that. It is so nice to have someone who is knowledge and friendly because it makes the rest of the dinner fun. Our food was delivered quickly and hot. The calamari was done to perfection. My wife’s salmon and my bolognese and my daughter’s short rib were perfect. Our friends had the duck and scallops, oh so good. With out hesitation we will all come back for more delicious dinners. Keep up the good work.

Love having DelMar in Chatham. I can go alone for a gourmet pizza at the bar with a great drink. But we can also go with a large group(we sometimes celebrate special occasions here) and have delicious apps and entrees: duck, chicken, tuna, steaks, halibut, cod… we have enjoyed so many delicious foods. Plus the vibe is upbeat. We have always had nice servers and bartenders. One of our Chatham top choices.

This is one of the best resort restaurants I have been to. The menu always has creative offerings. The place is well run considering how busy they get The bar has a good atmosphere. The servers have a good attitude even under pressure. This is my go to place in Chatham

My husband and I ate at the bar last night and were not impressed with the service. Though the food was pretty good we couldn’t get past the strange service we received. The bartender is clearly not that into serving people in a fine dining establishment and treated us more like we were at the counter at Denny’s rather than an upscale establishment. The bar has a waiting list to sit which means most people are also ordering food. It’s a big bar and also a big restaurant which means the 2 bartenders are busy taking 30 people + food and drink orders as well as making drinks for the rest of the restaurant. I think they need to hire another bartender as 2 is not enough people to adequately take care of dining customers at the bar. I will say that the salad and appetizers we ordered were pretty good.

I give the food 5 stars. The service wasn’t special. Calamari and shrimp tempura are something you can get anywhere but at this restaurant it’s just uniquely tasty enough to get every time. Presentation was impressive. The filet mignon and duck were super tasty. Definitely will come back for more.

We went to our favorite restaurant last night around 915 to have a glass of wine and a couple of apps and we were turned away because the bus girl said it was too late to come in. We find this rather unsettling and unacceptable in the middle of summer July, and probably will not go back. We were made to feel so unwelcome. It would’ve been so easy to allow us to come in for one drink and a couple of quick apps. Big letdown Two of us are in hospitality and we would never impose on any restaurant arriving at an unacceptable hour so or quite frankly confused by this whole scenario.

We were vacationing in Chatham for 3 nights. Based on the reviews and the menu, we chose to have dinner here one of our nights. We are so glad we did! It’s a friendly, casual place with excellent food, ambiance, and service. We had flat bread pizzas, Caesar salad, the blue cheese salad and striped sea bass special. All of it was so delicious! Made with fresh ingredients.

I’m thrilled to see such a fabulous new addition to the dining scene in Chatham — great food, excellent service and a somewhat hip environment for not a lot of money. It’s a minor miracle, actually. What was once Roo-Bar is now Del Mar — a vast improvement, if I say so myself. Sure, I was the youngest patron by at least 30 years, but whatever — it was Chatham in March, people. The cool menu more than made up for it — crispy oysters, creative flatbreads, ahi tuna with avocado mashed potatoes(yes, you heard that right. Truly ingenius). The highlight, though? The local cod — perfectly pan-seared with a delicious crust and a gorgeous side of Israeli coucous and veg. Healthy, pretty and scrumptious. What I like about Del Mar in particular is you can go either casual or slightly fine — the menu is all-encompassing in terms of taste and refinement, it’s well-priced and creative. They prepare fish perfectly — my ahi tuna couldn’t have been better — and the pastas and aforementioned pizzas are bellissima. So, if you’re looking for something tasty, reasonable, reliably good and somewhere in between King Kone and Christian’s, this is the spot for you.
