Good coffee. Disgusting french toast — probably on its way to getting spoiled. Ok egg sandwich. It is an order at the counter kind of place. No one asked us how the food was etc. Will not visit again.

My husband and I love going to have a laid back breakfast at this place with our 2 year old. The food is really really good, the staff is always so friendly and it is cozy and comfortable. I also love that we don’t feel stressed out eating here with our toddler. They keep books for the kids in the corner of the restaurant and toys for them to play with in the back if you’re dining outside on the patio. Very welcoming for families!

It was the first time we were there with our family. Brian, the co-owner, was kind, helpful, welcoming… We ordered grilled cheese for our daughters and it came out a bit well done. He said, «let me know if they won’t eat it. I’ll make a new one, it won’t be a problem.» Needless to say the girls ate it without an issue. We made a mess, ate like kings, and didn’t break the budget. We will sure to be back!

‘Had been interested in trying the dinner for four. Lived locally for 40+ years. Met a family member of the owner 2 years ago in Disneyworld and always support local, small businesses. Had an issue that was quickly addressed by the owner. Pleased to return as a result.

I had been meaning to stop in for a long time and finally made it. It’s like a secret diner only the locals know about. Good for families. Friendly and very efficient staff. Muffins and the like to go. Nice little place with OK+ food.

Food, service, ambiance were four stars. Lack of soap(not out of soap — there was no dispenser which implies a long-term condition) was unsettling how do staff ensure their hands are clean?! Found this out mid-visit. Asked one [new] employee and she didn’t know what to say.

Had a great lunch here. The place is cozy and definitely feels like a cute country store. I had the spring salad and my friend had the omelet, and we both enjoyed our meals! Would recommend going

Went to this place for Sunday breakfast. This place has a relaxed vibe which I like. The customers and staff were both extremely friendly. The place was not too crowded on a Sunday which is a plus. We ordered a breakfast burrito and eggs and hash. Both were very good. I would definitely be coming back. This place had a lawn in the back with picnic tables were you can dine. I didn’t take advantage of this amenity but might in the future as the inside is extremely cold.

It’s such a nice breath of fresh air to know that an old fashioned country store is alive and well. When you try some of the food and soak up some of the atmosphere, you’ll know why. They used to have an «account» you could put your purchases on and get billed later. Awesome place!

2.5 Stars. I would love to be able to up that number. Came for Sunday breakfast around 10:30 am. The place was not that crowded for this time and day of the week which was good for us though probably not great for business. From the road, it looks inviting and intriguing, a place you would want to stop in and check out which is what we did the first time we were here. There is plenty of parking, far more than appears to be needed. The issue is that as soon as you walk in, you may just lose your appetite. Read on to find out why. Inside there are approx 9 or 10 tables. One of the first things I noticed was the plastic table cloths on every table. These are tacky and honestly speaking, gross. The air is very greasy(due to the open flat top) in this establishment(we stunk of it hours after leaving) these table cloths attract grease and they were coated with it. It isn’t a lack of wiping down the tables, you just cannot get grease out of them. I would not ever want to see these used at any food establishment. They are not cute in the least. The same goes for the dried flower tchotchkes on each table. They were in the way and when I went to move them, I could feel the grime. The salt shaker on our table had a big chunk of coffee colored I-don’t-know-what inside. The salt was a block so it no longer flowed AND the metal lid was completely crusted over with salt mixed with grime. I actually picked it up to study in utter disbelief. There is no excuse for this. We sat near the outdoor patio doors. The black mat in front of the door was full of dirt and debris. Daily traffic would factor in but it was 10 am, if the rug was cleaned properly the day before, it would not have looked as bad as it did. The window panes were also in need of a cleaning. Look, I know that it is hard to keep up with a restaurant but come on? The coffee bar is self serve but it can be awkward to get there depending upon where you sit and also awkward for those sitting in close proximity. Lots of shuffling back and forth from the elderly and disabled set that seemed to be the mainstay of the dining room this morning. The aforementioned out door patio is very unkempt and strewn with toys. It is confusing because it looks like it should be the tenants yard but then the haphazardly placed tables throw you off. This area should definitely be reworked if people are meant to sit out here. Get rid of the toys and fix it up so that it actually looks like a restaurant patio. The ordering process is confusing because if you have never been there before you would not know that ordering is done at the counter and then they will bring the food to your table. No one greets you when you walk in and there is no way of knowing this until you know it. I can see why people could have a problem with service. You also pay at the counter. The menu is far too involved and they could easily cut the options in half and concentrate on making those options the best they can be. This is not a diner but it’s obviously trying to be too many things at once. The kitschy knick knacks and jams for sale seem out of place and unnecessary. Ditto for the community exchange to the left of the door. Finally, for all I’ve mentioned, the food wasn’t bad. It was what you would expect for this type of place but the Farmer’s omelet we ordered was very good and a very nice presentation on the plate. The counter girls were very friendly and service was efficiently paced. Again, this place does have potential. I would need to see the cleanliness factor addressed before I would go back.

People keep writing, «This place has been around forever.» Well, not really. The new owners took it over within the past two-three years. I keep trying to like it. But please… it’s easy(yet few get it right) — great atmosphere, great service, great food and great prices. Not doing it. Service? Good luck. My husband, daughter and I have gotten three times — once inside. If you sit outside — all you hear are crickets and you have to get your own napkins, ketchup, refills, etc. Ambiance? Cobwebs on the ceilings and junky toys in the back(the backyard is really not a pleasant experience.) Food? One time the omelet was great — the next time inedible. Raw omelets? Gross. Not going back. Tried to support them. Nah!

Discovered FMC about 2 months ago and it has really become our«go to» breakfast place on the weekends! The pancakes are the best in the area! They have plenty of choices for eggs/omlettes, but the little hash browns are the icing on the cake! They are great! All in all, well made food, plenty of choices, friendly casual atmosphere and good prices! Can’t miss!

Sunday breakfast: Super little place. Comfortable for a short stay – wood benches and heavy wood chairs. Service was very friendly without trying too hard. I had the«one on one” – one egg, one sausage patty, one large pancake. And that pancake in particular was excellent! Coffee is self-serve with a choice of mugs or paper to-go cups.

We’ve driven by this place a million times, each time saying«geez, we should really try that place.» Well, today was finally the day. I’m sad that we waited so long! Food is lights out awesome. The Cougar classic breakfast sandwich is a great play on the good ol’ bacon, egg, and cheese — but adds Taylor ham and their home made hash browns. Coffee is self serve. They have lunch and catering menus also. Can’t wait to try that. Ok — best part: Super Duper kid friendly! Back yard has a bunch of toys kids can play on(cars, trucks, wagons, etc). Inside there are books and blocks. Also tv with ESPN for Dad. We definitely found our new breakfast«go to»!

This review is for breakfast only and based on just one visit(so take it with a grain of salt). In a strange location in a very residential neighborhood with no other commercial stores around, but was easy to find with good signage out front. I liked the ambiance of the interior. It does have the country store feel with lots of long tables and an open, airy space. This may be a hit or miss for some, but I liked the fact that they had self service for coffee and drinks. Plus the coffee selection was great with couple of flavored coffees, including hazelnut, which is my favorite. As to the food, it was decent but nothing to write home about. There was only one cook in the back and since it was not too busy, he was able to get the food out relatively quickly but did observe that things slowed down quite a bit when there were more customers. Had couple of omelets, pancakes, and eggs benedict. I think the eggs benedict was the best of the bunch. Also, they have really awesome hasbrowns that is crispy and quite delicious – fried balls of shredded potato with herbs. I took a star off because the cook used spray instead of butter to grease the cooking surface. I will come back and try their lunch or dinner options and update my review accordingly.

$ 31 got us an omelet, eggs benedict, and a side of bacon… Very small portions. Food tasted ok, definitely not worth the amount we paid. The place is cute, but the experience was ruined by the owners arguing while we’re eating.

I rarely leave bad reviews but today I’m making a special exception. The service in this place is terrible. After waiting 20 minutes and not having been greeted I went to the counter and placed my order. I asked for coffee and water and was told it would be brought to the table. After waiting another ten minutes I return to find out its self service. Not a good start. After waiting nearly 50 minutes our breakfast hits the table. I ordered Pancakes with home fries and bacon. The pancakes were so undercooked that it was literally crumbling off my for as I attempted to eat it. Upon checking out I ask for a manager and am told they weren’t there. I share my grievances with the woman at the counter and am basically ignored as she swipes my credit card to charge me for the meal. Very poor service and the food was really bad compared to the many places I’ve enjoyed in the area.

You might miss it while driving by on a residential street but it is well worth turning around. The food is quality and the restaurant is laid back and in no rush to push you out. I got the balsamic chicken panini and my friend got the breakfast sandwich. Both were decent and the waiter didn’t rush us so we got to catch up on a rainy afternoon. There is a little reading area full of kids books which I think is adorable. I can see why this place is a local favorite.

My go to Sandwich shop as I just moved around the corner. Love the Eagle Sandwich(a sauteed veggie sandwich) and their Chicken pesto panini is DELISH. My husband has had a variety of their sandwiches as well– all great!

My family ate here on a Sunday afternoon for the first time since new owners took over in July 2013 and enjoyed it very much. The sandwiches were exceptional, right up there competing with Maria’s and Hoboken Farms for the best in the area. My «Griswold»(ham, gouda, apples) was delicious. The atmosphere was very welcoming. The interior pulls off the country store vibe without feeling cheesy. The staff was polite and the husband and wife owners — who were there engaging all the customers — could not have been more pleasant. It’s obvious that they are trying hard to create a really community-based business and I wish them luck. Ample parking. Outdoor seating. Two sandwiches, two drinks, a two-egg platter and kids milk came to about $ 26, very reasonable for the quality.
