So delicious! I had the hummus, eggplant and egg platter and it was better then I ever imagined. The service was very good, a really cute, nice girl. The only thing that could have been better was the latte, but it wasn’t bad. All in all, I will be back!

The Hudson River Valley has plenty of cute lunch options to please both locals and weekend visitors and Our Daily Bread stands tall with their homey environment with healthy, hearty food. Have an issue with gluten? Check out ODBe Free just a few blocks north on Main Street. You might considering classing ahead for seating, as it was still busy at 2:30pm on a Saturday in November; not to worry though, as we only waited 10 minutes or so for a table for six. Standouts among our orders included the veggie burger, mac n cheese and falafel.

I live right in the village, and haven’t been here much since it opened several years ago. Recently gave it another try and am glad I did! I only come in for breakfast, and have been pleasantly surprised. The food is good, prepared with care, espresso and coffee are good(which is important to us), service and atmosphere are fine. Prices(for breakfast, anyway) are reasonable. Will come back regularly for breakfast now. There is just one thing I’d mention, but it won’t take away from my high overall rating– their silverware and glass washing methods or detergent needs to be improved. This kind of issue is easily corrected, and I’m sure they will do so. The manager Brian, and the wait staff are all very personable and attentive. They recently built a large deck out back with many tables… it surrounds a giant majestic tree growing right in the middle. We at breakfast there twice in October when it was pretty chilly but soooo lovely… autumn leaves from the tree drifted down now and then. They had heaters out there for us and they didn’t mind waiting on us out there even though no other customers were brave enough to sit in the chilly morning air with sweaters on… lol. Now the deck is closed for the winter but I look forward to sitting on the deck once again for breakfast in the Spring. Meanwhile, sitting inside is pretty pleasant. I’m really liking having breakfast here, and will keep coming back. Note: Even though owned by the same person, THIS«Our Daily Bread Deli»(which adjoins the Mexican restaurant Destinos on intersection of rte 203 x route 66) is not to be confused with the«Gluten Free Bakery» down on Chatham’s Main St, which I reviewed separately and which ‘used to be called’ Our Daily Bread Bakery. I noticed someone else mixed up their review for the wrong place.

Amazing menu, crowded usually but worth the wait. Bakery counter has a great selection also and the homemade granola is awesome!
