I only tried the combination phở here and I must say I was not too impressed. I wouldn’t say it was terrible or the best I’ve had. It was just in between and that’s how my rating goes as well. Not sure if they were understaffed or just over-packed during my visit, but the service for sure has room to improve. All in all, if I do visit this place again, I’ll try another dish besides the phở.

I came in on a Tuesday evening because I was craving phở. The place was packed but I got lucky getting past the line because I didn’t mind sitting at the counter. Service: Don’t expect speedy and attentive service, utterly horrible. Like, come on man. I just wanted a bowl of phở. Help a brother out. It took 20 minutes until a server took my order. The food took an additional 15 minutes. Food: I ordered regular size beef phở with three choices of meat: rare steak, brisket, and tendon. Ooh wee, it was good. The broth is darker and not as watery tasting as I’ve experience from other restaurants. The taste was very homey and rustic. The star anise fragrance is strong with this broth and I love it. They’re very generous with the meat. However, the small bowls made it difficult mixing all the meat and veggies up. Miscellaneous: I thought it was funny that you had to walk though the kitchen for a bathroom. I’m always curious how restaurant kitchens operate and are organized. That adventure will have to wait. I can only imagine how intimate the kitchen could be because it seems fairly small, and I gotta give props to the chefs to be working in those conditions. Though it was a bit offputting that the dirty plates and cups were on open display near back side of the counter. I suggest getting a curtain or something… Conclusion: Their phở is great! I’ll definitely come back for their other dishes. CAN’T WAIT. The remaining stars will have to wait until their service game improves.

VEGETARIAN(and Take-Out) REVIEW: I’ve lived down the street from this place for several years and never thought to try it. I’m SO glad I did. Wow! The vegetarian pot stickers are seriously amazing! I also had the Thai Soba with Tofu, and they did not play around with the Tofu, they use a quality product! The noodles were perfect and the veggies obviously fresh. I found a new favorite! Very satisfied :)

Every time I’ve been here I’ve tried a different plate and haven’t been disappointed. For $ 26 we got 2 entrees and an appetizer. This place is located behind Panda Express. I work around the corner and have recommended this place to my coworkers, they’ve all loved it. Fresh & tasty dishes, clean place & fair prices!

What a great find that is walking distance from the pad. But we never walk there. Awesome food, great menu selection, very attentive service… Need I say more?!

The service was friendly here and I ordered to go. It was hard to find a menu online. The place is really pretty inside. I ordered phở which was good and we also ordered a curry soup with chicken and egg noodles which was really spicy and tasty. I would def return to try some new things as it seem like this place was a fusion place. I was sick at the time and wanted some quick food so I would probably do the same again here!

The food here wasn’t so bad, wasn’t enough to actually aspire to go back to. It was ok. There was a newspaper clipping featuring the chef, it may have been back when he was an aspiring chef. Today it’s just ok when there are no other choices.

I love this place. I usually order take out and the service and food quality is the same as if I ate in. Their noodles are fresh and flavorful. Best fresh spring rolls, and their dumplings(all of them) are delicious. My favorite is the roasted duck soup with egg noddles. The broth is complex but very clean and the duck is perfect. Yum!!!

One of the better phở places in the valley. I always get the phở with brisket and meatballs. I have not tried any of their curries or stir fries but it always smells great inside. You can find the restaurant’s menu by going to the website and clicking on the big«Café Orient» logo. The link that Unilocal takes you to is just a landing page for their three restaurants.

I have been coming to this place for over 12 years and it just keeps getting better. Aside from the classics Phở and other Vietnamese dishes, I love the versatility of the additions to the menu. Sea bass, fillet mignon and papaya salads are my favorites. Actually, I love every dish I have tried and trust me, I’ve tried a lot!!! This place deserves 10 stars!

I was looking on Unilocal for something to pickup for dinner near my Fiancé’s work. They didn’t have a Menu on their Unilocal or their website so It was pretty hard to guess what they might have… I didn’t want to give them a 4 star just based on the fact that their menu was hard to find, because the food was awesome… From their photos I saw their duck noodle soup looked pretty good and decided to give it a try! This dish was awesome! The broth was extremely flavorful I will be coming back! I would really recommend they put their menu online though, if i didn’t happen to see that photo I would have picked a different restaurant! 2 orders of soup came out to $ 22 so it was moderately priced in my opinion.

Food is amazing! Phở soup is never a disappointment, calamari is delicious and we love the pan fried shrimp dumplings! This is definitely a place worth going to, but the wait staff are completely rude.

Cold weather calls for some phở. According to Unilocal this place has pretty good reviews, definitely reviews that make me go into a place. Cute little spot, server was really nice. Shrimp spring rolls weren’t very tasty, the basil(I want to say it was that) was too strong, not my favorite. We asked for no pineapple in one of the soups but it was brought with pineapple. The server didn’t offer to bring a new soup, she brought a bowl and said we can put the pineapple there. She was very apologetic about it but we still weren’t too pleased with the way it was handled. Shrimp phở was delicious, jumbo shrimp was flavorful.

My go to place for chinese food or amazing phở! Usually I get the phở with rare steak and brisket. The broth is amazing! It tastes different than Phở So 1 and other places. I can’t quite describe it, but it’s definitely worth a try. My mom is very picky and LOVES their phở. For $ 1 you can upgrade the size, YAY more noodles :) This time I got the Fresh Shrimp Spring Rolls, which were amazing. The rice paper was very sticky, but helped keep it together. Delicious with the peanut sauce :) For the main dish, I got the Soba with grilled tofu, shiitake mushrooms, broccoli, and asparagus. SOGOOD. I was a little hesitant because it is vegetarian(I’m not vegetarian) and thought it would lack flavor since no meat, but NOTHISWASSOGOOD! My mom got the 5-Spiced Pork Belly and Pickled Vegetables. She loved it. It is a bit vinegar-y but she didn’t mind it :) HOWEVER, these weren’t soba noodles. Soba noodles are made from Buckwheat… these looked and tasted like Egg Noodles. Will definitely be back. Wished they were opened on Sunday’s and Monday’s!!!

Food: 4 stars Service: 5 stars This place seems to have new owners as of last year. The outside wasn’t very appealing with an old light sign, but inside was pretty nice, you can see from the Unilocal pictures. Its pretty newly furnished, with two big TV’s, nice booth chairs, and a small bar table. Their service was really good, two girls who were pretty nice and refilled my tea often. I got the Duck noodle soup and the Shrimp and Sugarcane Spring Rolls. The Duck Soup was really good although it was very sweet, the spring rolls were nothing special. This place does accept credit cards, I think the tip on Unilocal saying«Cash only» was towards the previous owner. I would definitely come back here again, it was the best phở or soup I’ve had in the valley so far. They also have another restaurant called Bistro Orient in Woodland Hills.
