Verizon Wireless – 4G Wireless

This is a review regarding Customer Service via phone, Nick… spoke with this rep on the phone for a length of time in regards to switch from T-mobile,…had a story and he patiently listened and offered suggestions in regards in how simple it is to keep your number and close out your contract with other providers… so thank you and prob with his informed and polite commitment to this call, will prob switch over… thank you Nick.

I can’t even give this place ANY stars. It’s the absolute worse and like all other Unilocalers who mentioned this place is absolutely commission base outfit, you can’t trust what these sales vultures are even telling you. Be smart and stay away from this location of you don’t want to be swindled. I think Verizon should take note of these people and stop dong business with this shop immediately.

DO NOT SHOP HERE FOR ANY REASON!!! You would have to be a total fool to shop at one of these independent Verizon stores which play by their own «independent retailer» rules. I have had a corporate account with Verizon (with over 10 phones) for as long as Verizon has been in the cell phone business which is about 25 years. They treat their customers so well that it is remarkable that they let these independent store operate, its such a bad look for their company. If you buy a phone at a Verizon store (a real Verizon store which is pretty easy to recognize as the real stores are super nice and the 4g stores are in little strip malls with very little investment in appearance), you can return it within 14 or sometimes 30 days NO QUESTIONS ASKED! If you buy a phone, as I recently did at one of these crappy stores, THERE IS NO RETURN POLICY AT ALL!!! So why would you ever shop there??? Luckily, Verizon stepped in just before I was going to close my account and applied the credit I was seeking and took back the phone at one of the real Verizon stores, proving once again that Verizon is a rock solid company but these independent stores SUCK!!! You have been warned…

Do not enter this place! They lied and told us a hot spot jet pack added to our account would make the bill go down and was free. All lies! Tried to take it back and their contract of course! has a $ 100 stocking fee! Wow! Shady business practices. The two clerks tried to even say they’ve never been trained on how to make a refund, manager is on vacation, every lie you imagine!

This is considered a ‘third party’ location, similar to the mall kiosks, and they work heavily on commission. WHICH WOULD EXPLAIN WHY THEY TRIED TO SNAKE ME YESTERDAY ;) (brunette girl working on ⁷⁄₂₈ at 6pm… I’m looking at you) as well as the several bad reviews I went in there having already read about this location, but I thought I’d give them a shot anyway. Hey, you could always just walk out! Right??)
I was eligible for an upgrade in June, so I went to cash in on it and get a new iPhone 6 for $ 199 knowing I could charge the phone to the account. In the past, my brother (the account holder) has charged everything from phones to chargers to the account never having an issue, and even made me an authorized account holder, meaning I could manage the account along with him with the same authority.
The sales woman that offered to ‘help’ me gave me a very difficult time the whole 15 minutes I was there. She would not accept MY information to access the account (regardless of being an authorized account holder) but instead, she made me call my brother on the east coast to get all of HIS personal info. Once she was in the account, she confirmed that I was eligible for an upgrade and let me see the iPhone 6. Being already sold on it before I walked in the door, I wasn’t interested in seeing anything else but, –man oh man-​, did she try to sell me every phone and accessory in that store!
I kept shaking my head ‘no’ as she spoke, and politely asked for my iPhone 6. She then said ‘well how about we open another phone line for you, so you can get the phone cheaper?’ Again, shaking my head no, I said ‘please, I don’t want to add a line, subtract a line, divide a line– nothing. I just came in for an upgraded phone and don’t want to touch any other thing on the account’ she practically interrupted me to say ‘well you can’t get the iPhone 6 on an upgrade. Only if you start a new account or open a new line… If you want the iPhone 6 today, it will be $ 600’
The smell of bullshit has never been so strong. She then went on to say ‘AND, you can’t charge things to the account’
‘Since when?’ I asked. ‘Since ALWAYS!’ She barked back. again, not true because I’ve done it several times before.
It was then that I smiled, grabbed my keys and said ‘ok! :) thank you! I’ll head to the location in Sherman Oaks’ and left.
My brother called Verizon corporate after I told him how they refused to sell me the phone unless I opened more accounts OR paid them $ 600, and he got the above info confirmed by the top-​dogs at corporate.
BEWARE. Avoid this place at all costs. WE ARE LUCKY WE CAUGHT THEM LYING TO US or we would be out a non-​refundable $ 600.

Chris did a great job of helping us find a plan and phones that worked for us. i would recommend this store and especially recommend Chris!!!

This is a great place. Chris and Jason are very helpful and they excatly know what to do for any kind of issue or question. I have been to this place several times for the past two years and they have been great everytime.

Seriously guys — if you have any other Verizon Wireless store option available to you, go elsewhere.
I apologize in advance for the insanely long review — but I am beyond furious at the moment.
This place is a complete rip. I’ve been a Verizon Wireless customer since high school — (i.e. almost 15 years — meaning before they were Verizon Wireless), and I’ve never experienced such absurd customer service before in my life. This is not a review of Verizon Wireless the company, but the actual store.
I needed 3 cell phones, because our other phones had gotten destroyed. So we attempted to purchase 2 new iPhone 5s and a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 — however, the manager suggested through some «creative accounting» they’d be able to get us the phones for less. (yeah yeah yeah, I know. It sounds shady, but I had already had the shit*iest day of my life, and I just needed three phones and it would’ve been nice if I didn’t have to pay close to $ 2,000 for a bunch of phones.) So anyways, his «creative accounting» solution was to open a few more new lines to give us the discount so we’d pay a lot less.
Having been sitting there for an hour, we agreed — but when it came down to it, neither me nor my dad had authorization to sign the contract for the new lines. So, while exasperated, we said «oh well, guess we’ll have to come back at some other time…» but they stopped us and said, «Well we only have 1 galaxy note left, so why don’t you guys just pay for the phones now… and come back later to sign the contract.» After much cajoling, we agreed to pay for the phones. While they’re ringing up the phones, I asked if they charge a restocking fee if the phones have never been opened (I asked this question in case my mother was displeased was the galaxy we got her) — she answered yes. This question was asked with the assumption that we’ve signed the contract and have taken the phones out of the store. We ended up leaving the phones in the store, as the contract hadn’t been signed, with the intention of coming back later with my mother to sign the contract.
Fast forward several hours later, it turns out that my mother had already purchased new phones for us. So my dad and I trek back to the Verizon Wireless store so we can get our money back. They explained that even though the phones never left the store, they would STILL charge a $ 300 restocking fee. Let me reiterate that — the phones never left the store, and they still wanted to charge $ 100 per phone to take it and put it back on the shelf. Are you f**king kidding me with that absurdity??? Not only did they do some shady thing of making extra accounts to give us this phone without authorization of the account holder, BUT they’re also charging us the price of a new phone to literally move their arm from a table to a shelf. It isn’t as though we didn’t buy new phones– we did! From Verizon! Verizon still made money! Even the salesperson knew that their restocking fee is insane. Apparently the restocking fee at the Porter Ranch is only $ 35.00. I can only assume that they’re refusing because of some type of commission they don’t want to give up.
On the phone, the manager even claimed that there was an «oral contract». This dude needs to be fired ASAP. Contracts are only formed when both parties clearly understand that a contract is being formed — its impossible for it to be one sided. I’m tempted to break down California contract law, but seeing as how I’ve already written a small novella, I’m going to quit now.
Just stay away from this location. I realize now why this branch is always empty, and many of the other Verizon Wireless stores are filled to the brim.
Okay, I’m done with my rant.

DO NOT SHOP HERE. I was sold an apple iPhone I was told was brand new. 11 months later it basically explodes from a faulty battery (no joke). Verizon store tells me I have to go to Apple. I go to Apple and Apple tells me the phone was a refurbished phone and was actually sold over 3 years ago. It is no longer under warranty and will cost me $ 100 to repair with no guarantee it will work. They warn me to never go to an «authorized» retailer as they are a bunch of crooks. I go the corporate Verizon store in Thousand Oaks. They tell me never go to an «authorized» retailer as they are a bunch of liars. I wait in line at the corporate store to speak to someone who can «see what they can do». I waited about 30 minutes and just left.

BEWARE!!! FRAUD!!! LIARS AND THIEVES!!!
I signed a contract for a «new» iPhone but came to find out that the phone was used and refurbished. When I asked them to make this right, they basically told me they could only upgrade my phone, for an additional fee and monthly cost, of course.

Everytime I had been to that store, they either don’t know what I’m talking about or trying to sell me something I don’t want. The staff is immature as well. I wont be going there again.
