Bi Lo seems to dominate the Chattanooga grocery market(with only one smallish WF, a FreshFields out at Hamilton Place and a couple of WalMarts with grocery stores as competition) — though Publix is entering the market(yay!) later this year. And this is the closest to me now(on the Lookout side of town), and fortunately I think it’s a bit nicer, more updated and more produce-filled than the one at the bottom of Signal Mtn. My last visit was a decent sized«stock up» run for fruits, veggies, both of which were in plentiful supply, bread and yogurt, chicken and turkey sausage(they have my favorite brands) and such. I was impressed by the selection of health foods including GF and soy options. A decent if not huge international food section. Good meat prices and what looked like a good fish counter. I knew what I wanted so it wasn’t a long trip, but I’m glad to know when I need even more stocking up, from basics to more in-depth cooking ingredients, I have a handy Bi Lo.
