Sushi Nabe Japanese Restaurant

Wonderful sushi and sashimi! My boyfriend and I just moved to Chattanooga a few months ago. We’ve had sushi all over the U.S. Nabe’s sushi is top notch. Nabe is a native of Japan and it shows in his cuisine. He and his family make you feel at home. We’ll be new regulars to his restaurant. Thanks so much for a great evening.

I’ve been a customer at Sushi Nabe for about twenty years now, and when my wife and I travel, Nabe is the standard by which we measure others. And Sushi Nabe is a high standard to beat!
Nabe’s ingredients and preparation are of the highest standards and quality. Nabe (the restaurant’s namesake) has also trained a large number of the sushi chefs working in the Chattanooga area.
Do yourself a favor and start with the Crabtacular appetizer. It’s tempura pumpkin covered in crab and curry. Amazing.

Delicious authentic Japanese food with friendly owners!

We just happened in this place because it was by the river while sightseeing. Intending to just get a snack sushi roll, it was so good we ended up staying for a whole meal. My wife is a vegetarian and Chef Nabe made a special chefs choice sushi roll for her. She said it was the best she ever had and unique (Japanese pumpkin and marinated shitake mushroom.) I myself cook for a living and ordered the miso ramen for an entrée. It’s the best I’ve ever had. The broth was rich in flavor and had noodles, pork belly and dumplings in it. Very filling. I highly recommend this place. Great food and the owners and staff treat you like you are a regular customer that they have known awhile. Great hidden gem near the Riverwalk
