Went here, heard the hype, it has a 50’s look to it. nice. We ordered, took sometime just to get our order. Toppings, were all extra. i do like the nice assortment of drinks, milkshakes, etc. But the burgers, gimmick wasn’t really sold on it. just OK. I would rather go to Five guys, no frills, toppings free, or even got my burger craving, drive all the way to Bobby’s Burger palace. This was average, could get at any other restaurant.

My daughter was in Philly on business and stopped over to see me. She was dying for a cheeseburger, so I suggested«Cheeburger Cheeburger«. I prefer my burger ultra rare which isn’t going to happen here. Putting that aside, The burgers were pretty good, service was very good, onion rings and fries were just fine. I have a business in Pennsauken NJ and frequent many of the Cherry Hill eateries. In sharp contrast to one of the other reviews, I found 5 Guys to be disapointing and Cheeburger Cheeburger not only better tasting, but a much cleaner facility. If you are in the area, compare the two, and I think you will agree with me. Cheeburger Cheeburger wins this local rivalry!!! By the way they also may have the best damn Milkshakes in all of South Jersey!!!

I went a few years ago and LOVED it– but I went again this past week and was disappointed with the service. The waitresses(can you call them that?) were very slow, lethargic, and didn’t seem to care about their job at all. Plenty of people are looking for jobs these days, and the bills there can add up fast. This store needs to hire some freakin better servers before they start losing even more business because of it. Expect 1.5 hrs to get in and out, and that’s during off peak hours. 5 Guys is a better bet– they are so good!

Cheeburger is definitely a strange place. It is a 50s diner themed family restaurant… not exactly my style. But I love hamburgers and I love customization. Their burgers range in size from 5.5 oz to 1lb(if you eat 1lb you get your photo on the wall so every knows what a hog you are). The burgers themselves are decent but they do not allow you to cook it below medium. But it’s their staggering amount of toppings that really makes them stand out. I’ve noticed most people go the boring route and just get the standard lettuce-tomato-onion, which defeats the whole point of being here! You can pile on as many as you want, so you may as well go crazy(they even have guacamole and peanut butter). I definitely suggest that you get the pepper jack cheese and an onion ring on your burger. They also have a huge variety of shakes and sodas, and other customizable sandwiches and salads(but I’ve never had those). This place is pretty good for a hamburger craving(especially in that plaza where there’s not much to choose from). Not the most awesome burger in the world(meat wise) but I don’t know any place where you get to add that many different things to your burger – and customization is KING! Pros: Topping customization! Cons: Service is often pretty slow. Screaming children may be there.

It was not a bad place, but it certainly did not meet my expectations. Definitely an interesting place to check out if you are in a mood for a burger and there’s definitely something unique about the place, but stilll…

After all the hype about this place, I was a bit disappointed. The burger itself was mediocre, and the bun crumbled in my hands about half-way through eating. On the plus side, they have quite an impressive menu of soda fountain items, like shakes, floats, and ice cream sodas.

The owner saw my review and wrote me: ****************************************************** *snip* I am the owner of the Cheeburger in Cherry Hill. I would like to apologize for not having the chipolte cheese, right after we put it on the menu the manufacturer stopped making it. We are looking for a suitable substitute but have had no luck as of yet. I also have spoken to all the cooks about cooking the burgers to the proper temp. to make sure it’s not over cooked. thanks for coming */snip* ****************************************************** So nice ot has positive comments from an owner! Thanks! My family and I will be in again soon, as we hope many Unilocalers will!

Great place for a good hamburger, the onion rings are great. Good place for the children. They will enjoy the food and the food comes in a old time car they really got a kick out of that. Way better then taking the kids to a fast food hamburger joint

I am definitely not Cheeburger Cheeburger’s demographic, not even close. This is clearly a family restaurant and that usually throws me off because I don’t like kids in general. But this burger joint is either aimed at stupid children(or stoners) based on the incredibly unnecessary crap you can put on your burger. Peanut butter? Really? Cucumber? Good lord, have some integrity. You can have your burger cooked to your desired level of overdoneness– medium, medium-well or well. At least you don’t have to get it well done, I suppose. My major complaints were the service was slow, even though it wasn’t that crowded, the slices of onion used on the burgers were way, way too thick, and they only serve Pepsi products. Come on, don’t pretend a Pepsi with vanilla is as good as a vanilla Coke. The saving grace of this restaurant is their onion rings. They are not the best I’ve ever had, but they are better than the majority I have eaten in this region. The horseradish dipping sauce went well with the onion rings and fries. I’ll say this place is maybe a 3, I just can’t give it as good a rating as Five Guys, which is like 3.5.

I like to make burgers. When I make burgers I like to season the meat, then add toppings. This place forgets about the meat and lets you pick from a slew of toppings. The end result is that you get a slab of tasteless meat with some really awesome toppings. And that is THE only draw of this place for me. Besides the many many toppings, they also have many many varieties and flavors for sodas and milkshakes. Oh and the onion rings were good. HOWCANYOUSERVEUNSEASONEDMEAT!

I went there for lunch this week. The amount of food was unreal! I ordered the combo platter which came with a side salad. which i brought the entire thing home untouched because i could barely finish the burger. I think the concept of being able to order any one of those 50 toppings is fantastic!!! The burger was cooked like i ordered it and the service was good. The people that worked there were very helpful explaining the menu to me as i had never been there before. I would absolutely go back again to try the milkshakes… of course i wont order a burger so i’ll have room for the shake!!! Really nice place with good food!!!

It’s an interesting«concept» burger joint with 50’s retro décor. Service was OK on my first visit but it got Very Busy later at lunch. The burgers come in four sizes — our group each ordered a «Semi-Serious» at 7 oz. They go as high as 20 oz. They offer maybe twenty different toppings. The guys who took us here recommended it because of the Shakes. They offer dozens of flavors. Our group ordered two Black and Whites and one Vanilla — nothing too crazy. I ordered a lemonade which was fine. They also said that Five Guys made better burgers but this place did much better Shakes. My burger was fine. The french fries still had skin on them which was nice and tasty in my opinion. The onion rings were OK, better than most. Also on the menu — grilled cheese sandwiches, egg creams and a bunch of stuff which was common back years ago. Worth a visit if you want a decent burger. This is a national chain with about fifty locations in NJ, NY, MD, FL, VA, etc.

I stopped here one night on a mid-week foray over to Tunes. The restaurant definitely strives for the Americana/old fashioned hamburger joints/50’s style places in terms of décor and music. I ordered a big honking burger and onion rings. The burger had good quality meat and was huge. I think I had to unhinge my mouth in order to fit around it. The onion rings were pretty good, though a little heavy on the batter. The service was ok. Everyone was friendly and my server was attentive. I came pretty late so pretty much everyone there was in the«I“m ready to go home and do homework» mode. I might go back at some point, if I am craving a big honkin burger and I“m in the neighborhood.
