The store is fine and they have a nice selection. However, the delivery of the furniture takes FOREVER. We were quoted 8 to 10 weeks, and were recently told it may be up to 13 to 14 weeks for delivery. We are at 10 weeks from the date of purchase and now we have to wait another 4 weeks for our furniture. No other furniture store quoted us such a long delivery time — and now we are over the quoted period. I don’t think we will shop there again based on how long it takes to get the furniture that we have already paid for.

My personal experience with Esprit Décor has been nothing but positive, professional, friendly and accommodating. Customer service is not only top-of-the-line, but Mark, the representative, has gone above and beyond to provide exceptional service. In my first attempt to «build my own» dining room chairs, he has guided me through the selection of fabric, based on the type of chair I’ve selected(after considering at least 400 styles!) and colors in my dining room. He has offered his expertise without me feeling rushed or that he is just out to make a sale ~ it is evident that he genuinely wants to satisfy his customers. To be honest, I am not sure I would have as much patience with me as Mark has demonstrated because I have changed my mind several times over the last couple of weeks. We all know of furniture store sales personnel that only have patience with customers if the sale is a sure deal and it’s quick since they work on commission and time is money. Although this is my first experience, I would highly recommend Esprit Décor to my friends and family and I will definitely be a repeat customer without hesitation. Brenda E. Suffolk, VA

Furniture shopping is daunting enough why complicate it with going to places that only see you as a number. We spent an entire weekend driving around Norfolk, Virginia Beach and finally out to Chesapeake. We found a piece of furniture online that we liked and wanted to see up front. After going to the vendors that were listed to supposedly carrying the brand and line not only did they NOT carry the brand but would not order it as it was inconvenient for them. We found Esprit Décor online, but I will not go anywhere else for furniture if I can help it, ever again, as they were the best. They have every brand name/line from the slightly inexpensive to the high end furniture that you will see and buy in other extreme high end stores like Ethan Allen, Pottery Barn, etc. I have multiple pieces from Pottery Barn that I found extremely similar and equal quality at Esprit. The company is family owned. The gentleman that assisted us ½ the day on Sunday had been there over 20 years and was a son of the original founder. We ordered our buffet and hutch with ease. They explained all the different nuances to «solid wood» furniture. After feeling educated and equipped to make a decision we purchased. After purchase our Buffet and Hutch this past fall we went back for a baby crib and our dining room table. They are the only retailer within 100 mile radius that carries the«young america» line of baby cribs that are 100% made in the US. We loved it. They were helpful and kind. They were swamped for presidents day weekend and did a great job. If you go there make sure you set time aside because between their show room and catalogs you’ll love browsing around. No matter where we move I will come back here for furniture. I’m so happy we found a family owned, honest establishment that meets all of our needs. The Sammans
