I made a reservation for Monday night September 21 – 22 through . Upon check in I was greeted by a member of Management a gentleman do not remember his name, but he told me has was a Manager. He asked if I had a floor preference and side of the hotel? I explained the 3rd floor would be fine facing away from the highway. He put me in room 318. As soon as I walked in the room smelled of dog, so I went back to the front desk and a young man switched my room to 300. I was ok with room 300 until I noticed the tub could have been cleaned a lot better. When I went to lay down I noticed small hairs on the sheets. I was very disappointed at this point. I made my way back to the front desk and a young lady was working. Explained my dissatisfaction with the sheets. She offered to switch my room or give me clean sheets. As I got upstairs I thought why should I have to change these sheets? I didn’t and slept on top of the bed. The next morning I told the Assistant manager Victoria that I wasn’t happy. She offered to mail me a be our guest for a free stay. Later that afternoon I called and told her I would be back the following day and not to mail the certificate. Fast forward to September 23rd. I checked in with Victoria and she took a look at the room to make sure it was A ok. This time I stayed in room 328. Once in the room I heard a running toilet and the toilet seat wasn’t secure as it should of been. Ok no problem as I thought it’s just 1 night. Time for me to relax and as soon as I did. A waterbug decided to crawl from underneath the bed. I called the front desk a member of Management came killed the bug, one of his staff members sprayed, and also notifed me that the toilet was old and it tends to run like that. The next morning right at 11 am a rude housekeeper(older black lady) knocks on my door. Are you checking out today? I said yes im leaving right now. She said ok open up the blinds please. I choose to ignore her because opening the blinds isn’t my job, nor do I get paid for it. Im a guest not a employee of Extended Stay. As im getting ready to walk out the door she comes back, opens the blinds, turns on the AC, and slams the door behind her. I walk out behind her and say Ms. Rude the room is already for you. She says nothing in return. I didn’t notify Management of my rude experience, but I am doing so now. All in all I wouldn’t come back to Extended Stay if they were the least expensive hotel in Chesapeake. I would rather spend more money and stay at Aloft or Hilton Garden Inn. May I suggest a better shower head, sweeping of the hallways of cigarettes and trash, cleaning the stairwells(pressure washer), wiping down the phones in guest rooms, and friendly housekeeping staff. Also I tried several times to reach out to Corporate to Toni and Jason Duck since Tuesday and received no return call. Which I find unacceptable as I am a Manager myself. Im not looking for another try at this hotel or your their many others.

This hotel was great, especially for the price! Near the 4th of July weekend(wed-thurs night) I was able to get both nights for about $ 130. I had no idea the room came with a kitchen and that was a great feature. The room was very clean and tidy. The TV worked very well and fridge was full size! You could literally live out of this place. One thing I did not like is the bathroom door opened into the bathroom towards the shower. Making exiting the shower and bathroom a little cramped. The bed mattress was also very very firm. I cannot speak for the other rooms but if you don’t like a firm mattress I would ask first before booking. I have no complaints. Another great amenity is that you could request pots, pans, plates, etc from the front desk and they would supply you with whatever it may be. I would return, if in the area.

Three stories, exterior entrances. For the novice traveler, Extended Stay America is a limited services style lodging, meaning that you do not get daily housekeeping services. The rooms do include a full size refrigerator, a stovetop, microwave, plates, pans and utensils. My room was clean, nice furnishings, comfortable bed, excellent ac(room was cool even on the 90+ degree days) free and good wifi signal. TV channel selection is a bit limited but did include two movie channels along with sports, news, and the local channels. Extended Stay America now has a free«grab and go» breakfast in the lobby, which is pretty much what it is — small prewrapped muffins, breakfast bars, fruits and coffee that you can take with you. If you are in this area for vacation(as in enjoying the beach) you are still 30+ minutes away from the oceanfront and will have to deal with the always heavy traffic in the area. However if you are here on business and looking to save $(especially during prime tourist season) you might want to consider this place.

Super gross. Visibly filthy bathtub. Weak shower head. Rough discolored towels. Stained carpet. Funny smell. And staticky unclear limited channels on the TV. But complimentary Otis Spunkmeyer muffins in the front office. And a polite staff, when they’re there. I was given a survey, expressed my disdain, and offered a free night. Why would I stay again though?

Avoid like the plague, unless that’s your thing. If you can afford anything more, go there instead! Disastrous!
