Hampton Inn Chesapeake-Greenbrier

The lobby smelled of cigarette smoke. The floor where my room was located smelled of smoke and MY ROOM SMELLED OF SMOKE. We left as soon as possible. At check out when we complained they just expressed shock.

Stayed here for a couple nights during the fall. The building is quite old and could use a renovation. I stayed in the King suite. Which was nice pretty nice for the price. The beds are comfy, the staff is pretty down to earth, but the water pressure in this place will drive you nuts. It’s barely a steady stream in the morning, and a fire-​hydrant at night. It’s in a convenient and inconvenient spot at the spot at the same time. Anyone who knows Greenbrier PKWY, knows the struggle.
Hampton Inn Woodlake: Simply fixing the water pressure and renovations will bring this site up to par with Battlefield Blvd address.

I stayed in this Hampton Inn for work. As with any Hampton Inn, they’re so consistent in what they offer. Clean, comfortable stay with helpful and courteous employees.
This is in a great area. There are a ton of restaurants, grocery stores, department stores, etc in the area. There’s also the Greenbrier mall. There are a good 10+ hotels in the area so it’s definitely an accommodating part of Chesapeake to stay.
The only downsides:
The rooms were a little on the smaller side compared to other Hampton Inns, but since I was traveling alone, it didn’t affect me.
The desk was small (width wise) and it made it difficult to do work.
I’m already booked to stay here again in the future and will definitely stay here going forward.

This was a clean, comfortable Hampton Inn. The beds were a bit hard, but some people like that. I personally like a soft mattress I can sink into. :) We would stay again if we returned to the area. I love that they allow pets.

We stayed here one night while stopping to visit friends before going to the OBX the next day. The hotel was very nice. The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is a little dated but they have done a good job keeping things up to date (except for the elevators…).
The only issue we had is that a very loud fight broke out in the parking lot around 1am and lasted for at least 30 minutes. This woke my wife up and kept her up for a while. This could have been the hotel not calling for help or the police not getting their fast enough, I do not know. I am not counting it against the hotel though.
We will defiantly consider staying here again.

Really very nice rooms and clean and friendly.
I am not usually one to praise the continental breakfast hut it wasn’t bad either.
They won men over with the clean fitness room and decent coffee.

Great hotel. Great price. Clean, very friendly staff and the breakfast was exactly as stated on their website. The room was really nice. King size bed, updated décor and TVs hdmi and USB capable. Will book here again.

This hotel was amazing. There was a problem with the first room and they immediately upgraded me to an awesome king room with a sitting room. The staff is friendly and recommended a restaurant that was fantastic. The rooms are immaculate and it’s always a great place to stay. I would stay here again without a second thought.

This place is clean and the staff is always friendly. It’s very close to several dinning and shopping options. They are Pet Friendly! They were replacing mattresses during my last visit.

While we do like the Hampton Inn, this one is not located within walking distance of any restaurants, shopping etc. There are two malls nearby, but you have to cross a major highway and there are no sidewalks to get there. There is a pool, which is nicely maintained.

Great hotel near Cheesapeake, VA. Nothing fancy, but, good clean acceptable service including free breakfast and parking

OK, I have stayed at this Hampton Inn probably 10 times. It is not the greatest and like I said before, could use a proper remodeling, but it suits my purpose for a night or so. In my past reviews, I have noticed that even though you make a reservation and actually pay for it as well, they still will give the best rooms out to the folks that check in first. Needless to say, I asked for a room closest to the back exit doors (since I have a dog) and when I arrived at 2:30am from NY, I got the room right next to the elevators and near the front desk. Fine… I have dealt with that before… What I haven’t dealt with is the fact that they neglected to vacuum the carpet? There was white dog hair on the carpet (my dog is black) and the room reeked of cigarette smoke, even though it was a nonsmoking room. This made me second guess EVERYTHING I touched in the room. Not a good feeling at all. The front desk dude assured me that it was a nonsmoking room, but there is no way… Maybe it is a nonsmoking room but the last guest DID smoke. My clothes stunk of it the next day. I am disappointed and am not sure if I’ll return.
