Spaghetti Eddie’s Pizza Café

One of my favorite restaurants ever. Definitely the best spaghetti in Chesapeake, and amazing pizza. My family and I come here at least once a week. You also don’t get better service than this. The servers are all super friendly and always remember our order. Very family friendly atmosphere but you can always get a beer too.

Great food, awesome location, horrible service! Server told us we couldn’t take a seat at the empty bar because they we’re short staffed. When I asked if we should just wait at the front door her response was: «if you want to stay». Restaurant was not packed, it was about 1 o’clock. It appeared there were two servers on staff. After we were practically turned away the same server walked over to a seated party and started playing with a baby. We asked to speak to a manager and the server looked me square in the face and rolled her eyes. Really! She was young and I honestly believe her intention was to inform us that there would be a long wait before a server could acknowledged us, but she had poor communication skills.

Service was excellent however food was horrible. Had to be the worst spaghetti l ever had, the sauce had no taste and the noodles were not drained properly. Italian sausage was cheap and full of fillers. Not willing to go back.

I went there for the first time this evening with my wife about 5:45 pm on a Tuesday. We were seated in a large both. My wife ordered the Italian sub cold which comes with fries. My wife did not want the fries and asked if the had chips. They do not. She was offered a salad instead but she did not want that either. I ordered the chicken parmesan sub with fries. There were not many people in the place so we were surprised it took at least 20 minutes for our good to come. The food was good but not great. The crinkle fries were hot and fresh. I was actually glad my sub was not larger. I’ve had some that were much larger for the price. Mine was $ 8.99 and my wife’s was $ 9.99. My wife asked if they had a pickle appear to go with her sub but they didn’t have that either. I used an Entertainment book coupon so my sub was free. With tip I paid $ 20. I don’t think we’ll go back.

The first time I tried this place it was great! The greeters, servers and bartender were all so friendly and helpful. I just ordered the pizza and it was pretty good. However, the second time was another story. I ordered the italian sausage with marinara and cheese. This time there was another bartender and she wasn’t so friendly. When I opened my sandwich at home it was a complete disappointment as they had wrapped it with a foil that had a paper layer inside. Well needless to say all the cheese stuck to the paper. I tried peeling it off but it was ruined b/​c there were bits of paper all over that wouldn’t come out. I ended up having to take all the cheese off. I called the restaurant and the bartender was completely RUDE! I should have reported her to a manager but I was just over it and decided I just wouldn’t return.

Service was great! Greek salad fresh and crisp. Wings were juicy and delicious! Pizza was about average, thin crust is house style.

I’ve been here for 32 min and all I have is a drink I got 16 min ago!!! Spoke to the waitress (if you can call her that) one time since I sat down! This has got to be the worst service I’ve had in years. Don’t think I’ll be coming back. I’m giving two stars cause the food was actually good, service sucks!

Solid place for family eating. Wouldn’t try the supposed NY-​Style pizza, since we’re from NY, and out of town never holds up to the original. Pasta dishes are fine. Service friendly. Atmosphere solid. Nothing bad to say about it. Wouldn’t drive out of my way to get there, but if you’re in the neighborhood, there’s nothing wrong with going there.

My son loves this place for the pizza but I find the choices on the menu to be limited. The customer service is okay but nothing above average. Today our table was sticky. Definitely not my first choice of pizza places.

Kids in Africa would die before eating this. Life is short enough without shaving years off your existence with the grease infested, self inflating, devils spawn of a Stromboli I just mistakenly took into my wildly complaining body. Each bite felt as if a little bit of my soul, my ever declining will to live, was drained through a complex hell that only those who have experienced my horror can understand. Dante failed to mention the eighth, and undeniably worst, level of hell known as Eddie’s Spaghetti. Upon entering one must only pick their poison from either the psychological torture of the handless baby performing demonic pasta-​related Italian rituals on the wall, or the gastological torture of ingesting pasta infested with a bastardized combination of Great Value tomato paste and sludge pulled from the chamber pot beneath «Eddie’s» bed.

I couldn’t figure out why the score was so low on this place, now I know. The service has diminished in the past few years.
We were sat in the corner, by the kitchen and were walked by at least 100 times. My server forgot about us, didn’t refill our drinks and we had to stop other servers that walked by.
After we received our food the server never came back to the table. She didn’t care that the focaccia bread was less than mediocre, she disappeared. It was awful service and just ok food.
Will I return? Not if I have to sit by the busy kitchen and still be ignored.

My first time in Virginia was awesome thanks to the owner and his mother. I simply came to get a pie before returning to my hotel to watch the game. I ended up having great convo and trying there melonade which the owner’s mom took care of for me.
When I got back to my room to eat the food it was good. The pizza had a nice crunch bt wasn’t burnt st all. The wings were great with the sauce and all of it was filling.
Overall a great experience with the restaurant and if I return to the are I will return to this establishment.

Worst service I have EVER, EVER received. We waited over an hour just to get our drinks. We brought it to the attention of the manager and his exact words «you are wasting my time talking to me about it». We never even got to place our order. We asked twice to get help for our server and it was met with animosity. I can’t understand how a restaurant can stay in business with service like this. Based on other reviews I have read it isn’t near the first time service has been as challenge. Restaurants need to realize that leaving home is meant to be an experience not frustration. Unless they change ownership or management I would recommend not going there.

Top notch mom and pops spot. With all of the big chains in the area this place gets top billing. Awesome food and great service… did I mention awesome food? Prices are very reasonable for the quality. I had a philly steak and my wife had the chicken philly. Both were made to perfection. I highly recommend this place and will be coming here for their happy hour as well.

The last time we came here I can honestly say it was the worst experience I’ve had with dining out in a LONG time.
First they had us wait 30 mins just to be seated when there was a whole side of the restaurant open, meaning no one was sitting at any of the tables. (7 tables with zero patrons) then when they did sit us they sat others who were waiting after us in that area. To top it off the table they ended up sitting us at was extremely sticky and when we expressed our concern she wiped it off with a dirty sticky rag! Then when the sticky residue didn’t disappear she asked one of the other girls who gave the excuse «the table is naturally sticky because it’s by the window and the heat from the sun made it that way.» But when I touched the tables next to ours they were perfectly fine.
Wait, there’s more! As we were considering leaving this establishment our waitress finally made her way over to us (15 mins after we were seated) and was completely crude and short with us; even made an eye roll when we changed something we ordered before she left. Now if it wasn’t for the fact that we were starving on a Friday night, knowing everything else was super packed we would of left a long time ago. When we finally received our food, surprise surprise mine wasn’t there! She «forgot» to put the order in! 100% fed up at this point my husband went and sent an email (during dinner) to the owner/​management of the place but low and behold we never received a response, not even a simple apology. We will no longer dine her nor would we ever recommend this place to our friends or family… or even strangers!

It was my first time trying it there, and we ordered the chicken Alfredo pizza. It was really good, great place to chill and eat.

It’s time to update my review here as this has become pretty much a regular spot since my employer moved out to Greenbrier almost 6 months ago. We’re in here at least once every couple of weeks. Sometimes less, sometimes more.
By now I’ve had a chance to really work through the menu and there’s quite a few delicious items you can select. No pizza in this review, just other menu items. I’ll be adding several pictures that I’ve accumulated as well.
Let’s start off with their lasagna lunch special. Deceptively large, if you’re a glutton for punishment then this is the way to go. I promise you this square of lasagna will fill you up not just for lunch, but the rest of the day. I kid you not.
Cheesesteak’s. They make a very good cheesesteak here. However take note that if you’re a purist like me you need to remember to ask for specific items, like fried onions and cheese. If you don’t the sandwich will come fully loaded with peppers, mushrooms, etc. in addition to the traditional toppings.
Pasta’s. They have many to choose from. There are several spaghetti selections on the lunch menu and you definitely get your money’s worth when it comes to portion. You also have choices like meat sauces instead of a regular sauce.
Other Sandwiches and Panini’s. I’m still working my way through these however a couple of stand outs are Smoked Turkey & Provolone Panini, Club Panini and the Chicken Parmesan Sub. All of them come with a generous portion of fries which you can switch up for soup, salad, etc.
Service is normally pretty good. We tend to sit at the bar instead of booth and that makes things a little faster. I’ve always found the staff to be friendly and courteous.

My better half found a bird feather in his salad. And at 1pm, they «didn’t have chicken thawed enough to grill for my salad.»
I don’t even want to waste any more of my time on a more detailed review of this place.

Subpar pizza and flys all over the damn place. I was upcharged for a salad that was given to me with old lettuce which I sent back for a remake luckily it came back with fresh lettuce the second time around.
The establishment reminds me of a school cafeteria at a college.
Ceasar salad was good!
