The service here sucks me and my boyfriend love eating here but every time it’s something we literally have our order pretty clear and when we get to the window and basically have to reorder our food and it was still wrong!!!

Not really impressed. I am glad they had the calorie count by their food. If you’re watching what you eat the meals here can blow you out of the water. Food is nothing to write home about.

This place is family friendly and has really good fast food. Their fries are awesome! I like the variety they offer for fast food. Good place!

Best salad EVER!!! Fresh and delicious! My hub had the club sandwich & fries. E loved it! Even the brownie we split was wonderful. They REALLY need to advertise. We knew nothing about it. We drove by on our way to Red Lobster Friday night with our granddaughter. We will definitely go again, probably a lot. Loved it!

A coworker suggested this restaurant as I had never heard of a Zaxby’s and someone joined in the rave session about it so like a fool I tried it. Smh, smh and more smh! The menu was practically indecipherable and everything was fried and soaked in grease. The saving grace was the Texas toast. I wish I had still never heard of this establishment!

Living in Virginia, I had heard of Zaxby’s but never visited until yesterday. My youngest son and I decided to check it out since his best friend told him that Zaxby’s is the bomb. My expectations were low, so keep that in mind. Zaxby’s was started by Zach McLeroy and Tony Townley back in 1990. They were high school pals in Georgia, and created the name and concept. Zaxby’s is a franchised chain of fast food(FF) that offers chicken wings, chicken fingers, sandwiches and salads. There are currently over 600 locations throughout the Southeastern United States. Spicy Fried Mushrooms: Fried Mushrooms are not something you normally see at a FF restaurant. Being a huge mushroom fan, I had to order those. And they were awesome! The batter was crispy, and the ‘shrooms were perfectly done. The«spicy» part was the sauce that came with it. There wasn’t a ton of flavor on the mushrooms until you dip those suckers in the sauce. Yum! 4* Chicken Finger Plate: Coleslaw– This was pretty bad. I took one bite and it reminded me of why I hated coleslaw as a kid. All I tasted was one-note – cabbage. 1* Texas Toast– Dry as a bone, no moisture, and no flavor. 1* Crinkle Fries– These were quite good with some seasoning on them, and the perfect amount of crispy to soft ratio. 3.5* Chicken Fingers– Their chicken is what it’s all about: moist, flavorful, white breast meat. When you combine them with their Zax Sauce, they’re even better. I didn’t realize that they have 15 different sauces. Next time I will definitely check those out. 4* Ambiance and Service: The first thing I noticed was the décor. From the exterior of the building to the dining room, I dig this place! It felt more like a sit-down type of restaurant except that you do order at the counter. I think there was a lot of thought put into the décor at Zaxby’s – they want their customers to feel comfortable and have a unique FF experience. I was extremely impressed with their customer service. After all, this was a FF restaurant. The service was extremely friendly, courteous, and the food was prepared and presented perfectly. 4.5* Value: I thought the prices were decent and comparable to Chick-fil-A. However, I would skip the Chicken Finger Plate since the slaw and toast were lacking, and it didn’t come with a drink. 3.5* Overall, I was impressed with Zaxby’s and I will definitely return. It’s good to know that I have another chain restaurant on my list for when I’m traveling. Customer service always gets high points from me and Zaxby’s is absolutely an above-average FF chain. 3.5*

Services was super friendly and super fast. Sandwich fresh and delicious! I had the Zaxby club and it was really good. Would love to come back here if I lived near by.

I would not even bother. The lines are only long because they take forever to take your order, the drink machines are always broken and need some type of maintenance. But hey, the food’s pretty good… if they can ever get your order right. Too bad this is the only location on this side of the James. Go to the one in Williamsburg, Hampton or Newport News.

Looooooove this place!!! I typically get the FRIEDCOBBSALAD and then I get an order of chicken fingers to make my salad EXTRADELICIOUS and it does not disappoint, EVERRRRRRRRR. And I love the Texas Toast they put with your salad. This is not a 7 – 11 salad. This salad is comparable to any(entrée) salad at a major restaurant.

This place is pretty good here. Everything is always fresh and hot. The fried mushrooms are to die for. They are a little pricey though. If they would adjust they menu a little, they would make a lot more money for the area they are in. Other then what I’ve mentioned, this place is good!

So out of the blue one day my mom says that she wanted to go here because she heard it was really good. I’ve been hearing about Zaxby’s myself so I said why not. One 30 minute drive with my mom and brother later and we’re there. The inside was a little cluttered but it was busy and I’m not one to criticize fast food workers, because I know they have to put up with a lot on top of working hard. The lady who took out order was very nice, knowledgeable, and helpful when it came to answering all our question’s and we had a lot. I ordered the 5 piece boneless combo with the original buttery buffalo sauce, celery and french fries, and upgraded my cup to the«chickenflauge» souvenir size(I still use it to pour my drinks in haha). My mom got a ranchero chicken«zalad» with a banana pudding milkshake, and my brother got a cajun chicken sandwich and a birthday cake milkshake. All in all we all agreed that the food was tasty and the service was friendly; however, neither was special enough to keep us going 30 minutes out of our way. I’m sure my family and I would go to Zaxby’s more if they built one closer to us. If you’re in the Chesapeake square area and need a quick bite to eat(and aren’t too picky) I’d say give it try.

Zaxby’s: Real Breading. The boneless wings were no different then buying microwavable nuggets from the frozen section of the grocery store and smothering them in sauce. The fried mushrooms were great though.

Food way too salty. Salty does not mean flavorful. Onion rings were decent as well as the fried pickles. The chicken strips just were not edible.

Nothing irritates me more than and employee asking me if I am ready to order and when I start ordering I am abruptly interrupted mid sentence and asked«is it to stay or to go»…idk maybe it’s just me. I ordered boneless as well as bone-in wing and nothing great stood out for either. The bone in wings has zero flavor other than the sauce it came with. The establishment was fairly neat clean and orderly the employees were a little too chatty about private issues but polite to customers, was not impressed by the food I ordered at all. 3 stars

Nice alternative to Chikfila which is a great but can be crowded. Zaxbys is clean and friendly. Something for everyone in the family. The Zalad is great. It can be made to order. The onion ring are good for fast food. The chips are good but a bit too heavy on the salt. Shakes are good. Drive thru fast. Good tea. A bit high on fast food side but reasonable all things considered.

I’d skip it and save your money and body. EVERYTHING is fried(even the grilled chicken seemed to be). The chicken had very poor flavor. My kids wouldn’t even eat it. We had to wait for a long time. Something I would expect at a The milk shake that I ordered as a treat for us came premixed and does not even fill the glass ¾ full. They top the rest with whipped cream to make you think it’s full. The shake was $ 3.50 I think. a kids meal, a salad, a shake and 1 nibbler cost me $ 20. Quite the rip off. I will not be going back there for sure.

The food here is great! Sadly it’s not so little kid friendly due to the fact they have NOCHANGINGTABLES and only two high chairs. Fast, friendly, and efficient!

Very Clean. Fast service. Great layout of dining room. Comfortable booths and tables. Menu suited for extremely active young people. You need a supercharged metabolism to consume this food. My fellow diner described it as «Ballpark/sports stadium food.» Fast, fried, small portions and a little overpriced because it is convenient. The. Menu included salads but they are similar to the garden/lettuce salads in 7 Eleven. They look very fresh and are well presented with different toppings available. Once you add the toppings I wonder if they are any better for you than the sandwiches. The brownie offered for dessert was palatable but no real taste to it. Similar to one of the Little Debbie treats in a box at the grocery store. Worth a try because it is new.
