We have been eating at Rockin’ Rooster since it first opened at the St. Louis Premium Outlet Malls. The chicken was hand battered when ordered and then deep fried. It was very delicious. Today we went to the mall and decided to order it again. They charge $ 4.79 for three pieces of the chicken and much to our surprise, the chicken was terrible. It was overcooked and tasted worse that something you’d eat at a bowling alley. I asked to talk to the manager and she told me they no longer hand batter the chicken — and showed me the box of frozen chicken they use! I talked to the General Manager and he really didn’t seem to care — he said he would tell the corporate office. Avoid this mess they now call chicken!

Hubby and I got a quick bite to eat while shopping. I had the kids chicken tender meal and he had 3 tenders with fries. We enjoyed it. The young man was distant but courteous. What more can we ask 4. Like previous reviewer stated the taste is along the lines of Chick-fil a. Just not as seasoned IMHO. One tip food it made to order so allow a little time for fresh food. Unlike others.

During a trip to the St. Louis Premium Outlets I decided to grab a quick bite and decided to give the food court a try, first off all the options are unique to the food court. I decided that chicken would be a good option so I went with Rockin Rooster and ordered a basket which was served with slaw, fry’s and 3 pieces of chicken. The chicken had a pretty good taste, it was seasoned to separate it from places like Raising Canes and Chickfila. I will admit that I really did enjoy the chicken, however service here was very spotty. To me it almost seemed like there was little to no training for the employees and they lacked direction by any type of management. Also be advised that refills are not free, to quote an employee«They are like 55 cents or something». She didn’t seem to pleased or sure in her answer, and I promptly declined. Next time I will skip the food court, and head to one of the other options outside of the mall.
