The UPS Store

This is a great place to go when I have to ship something via UPS and far preferable than dealing with the locations inside the office supply stores. The ladies at the counter are always pleasant. I generally do a crappy job of packaging things but they correct the problems for me with nary a sigh.
As an added bonus, they also process large check deposits for USAA.

Went in today to see if they sold any empty boxes. As soon as I went in the store I was greeted by a blank stare (HUGE pet peeve of mine, and I refuse to greet first… I’m the customer biatch!!) she finally asked me if I was looking for anything. I told her I need an empty box to ship a coat. We then had a stare-​off for about a good 20 seconds before she trudged to the back of the store to gradually get some boxes. I then told her I was going out to my car to get the coat (was not using UPS to ship it) to see if the coat would fit. I come back with it (mind you it is a mens puffer coat) and she goes back to get a smaller box than what she had after I asked her if she had any BIGGER boxes. She insisted the coat would fit in the smaller box. It did, after she crammed it in. I asked her if she had anything to put over the coat. her response «FOR WHAT?» How about so the damn coat doesn’t get completed ruined b/​c of the way you just crammed it in that small ass box? She then mumbled something how I should find something like that at my job (??)…Listen, this is the UPS store, I am sure if she made an EFFORT she could have found something to put over it. At this point I just wanted to get out, I was on my lunch break and still had other errands to run and didn’t want to waste my time with this old hag who clearly hates her job.
I did complete the customer service survey that was on the receipt (and entered myself to win $ 1,000) and made sure the company knows about this moron. If you are going to work around people/​customers, and they are coming to you for assistance, please make some kind of effort to offer assistance and lose the damn attitude!!!

My first impression was that this place was small and not stocked too well. I was here to drop off my AT&T UVerse equipment (YES!) and they must have some kind of contract with UPS. UPS was able to look up my AT&T account information while I was there and print off all the necessary paperwork. They also packaged all my equipment at UPS for me, which was nice. The employee that helped me was friendly as well. Not bad, UPS, not bad.
