on our way to a outside concert, me and my wife stopped and got two tubby famous. one on a garlic bun, the other on a wheat bun. the wheat bun had mold on it. the garlic bun was old and stale tasting. the next day she returned the moldie wheat bun for a full refund. sadly tubbys has lost two loyal customers. we won’t return.

Nasty. They use cheap cold cuts. Not a regular tubbys taste. Even the bread was gross. No cottage fries, etc

Sticking with a four star rating… but I just wanted to add some comments. First of all, the main reason why I give four stars, is that the place is pretty expensive. It’s definitely(way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, WAY) better than Subway, but it’s at least a few bucks more expensive per sub — the sacrifice you make for quality, I guess. The steak subs are very good(even if they happen to get a little bit TOO soggy), and I also really like the buffalo chicken sub and chicken fajita sub — the sauce on the buffalo chicken sub actually has enough spice to make my nose run a little bit, and I’m pretty tolerable to heat. Basically, I love Tubby’s. Support local business and eat here. Not just BECAUSE it’s a made-in-Michigan company, but because Subway’s awful in comparison.

I’m a fan as long as the Tubby’s sauce is on the side. Don’t drench my sandwich with it please. I will always have a soft spot for this chain of sub shops… it was my first job… and my tastiest job. Favorites from then and now are the Pizza Steak and Mushroom or the Grilled Jumbo Ham. ALWAYS with a container of banana peppers on the side. I didn’t know these things existed until this job. One of my «fondest» memories was of de-stemming/de-seeding endless jars of these peppers and putting them in those cute little plastic containers. My fingers were a shade of yellow for days…
