I had driven by this playground so many times but never visited until recently. Unfortunately, it’s pretty lackluster. What drew me to it on a warm summer day was the water spray feature that I knew was there. Sadly, it is basically just one big fountain that sprays up with 2 – 3 smaller ones around it. What’s worse is that the fountain part is shaded by large trees — so it isn’t in the sun. This lends to a mildewy surface and a collection of rotting leaves. It’s kinda yucky. The play structures are fun and interesting but it just feels kind of dirty and unkempt. There aren’t a whole lot of benches, so people end up bringing towels and sitting on the ground. There are a few baseball fields and basketball court. There’s also a paved path that circles the area for a short walk. One plus is there’s a small parking lot — key word: small. Only about 6 or 7 spaces, and that’s assuming nobody parks like a jerk. Otherwise, you’ll be looking for an on street space in the tight neighborhood. But a playground is a playground. It’s safe and not falling apart. So I can’t really give less than four stars. There are just better options nearby.
