This is a good little deli. The prices are reasonable and the subs were good. There were too many places to stop and grab a quick bite(that wasn’t fast food) around the Willis tower so this worked out well for us.

Food wasn’t bad, I would give it a solid«B», we ordered the lasagna, sausage pizza, a small sandwich, some macaroni salad and soup, everything was enjoyable. The service was truly un-describable, it was my daughters 10 month bday, the guy(cashier) somehow managed to find and give me 10 candles then provided me with a lighter to light up the candle that we somehow fit on the small cheesecake with… you don’t have to have the best food in the world or the most unique, it’s the service that people will do anything for, especially in this day in age. Thanks for making our lunch truly unforgettable and priceless! Let’s not forget that I asked them to grill up some veggies and chicken for my daughter and they also did so. THANKYOUGUYS!

Delicious home cooked Italian Absolutely love coming here for some good, hearty Italian favorites. The staff is always helpful and attentive, and the place is always clean. I love the variety they offer from sandwiches, slices, deserts and paninis — always willing to try something new off the menu! My recommendations — Caprese Tostino with side of Arancini(sooo good!)

I went here for the first time today. I ordered the chicken salad wrap and it was very good. The chicken salad is super creamy and has carrots in it. I don’t think it is all white meat chicken, but still very good. The calzones and pizza looked very tasty too. I’ll definitely be back.

I was looking for something cheap and fast for lunch and found this place! Got the chicken parm and it was the perfect ratio of chicken, bread, and marinara! It was a little past lunch, but there were still tons of people there! A lot of people were there for to-go orders, but they also had a lot of tables for people who want to dine in. Definitely a new favorite!

Definitely enjoyed my visit here. This was my first time and everyone was so helpful and welcoming with suggestions on what to try and even following up after my meal to ask my opinion! I ended up going with«The Godfather». The Italian beef with mozzarella and cheese was absolutely delightful! Not only did it have the right amount of freshness and flavor but it also was quick! I definitely plan to come back and try the other items on the menu! Quality service and excellent meal…5 stars!

The food is so delicious! I got a portobello mushroom and red bell pepper panini. Super flavorful and not too salty. The place itself is clean and quick; the line was fast and they were super nice in accommodating our big group.

We found this place on here and thank you! I had the chicken, mozzarella tostini and it was awesome. The bread was warm and crunchy with a bunch of flavor. The ingredients were fresh and full of flavor. My boyfriend had the diavolo and it looked amazing. We ate every bite of these full of goodness, huge, delicious sandwich’s. It was a great start to our day in the city. We will absolutely be going back to try more of the menu.

I ordered a lasagna and a pizza slice and I can bet on this that it is the best lasagna I had till now. Will definately go back there. Prices are very affordable and service is very fast. It’s very near to sky deck so after going there if you want an Italian place to eat — It’s the place to eat.

Meh, don’t sit near the door if your sporting a comb-over. Food was good, just not memorable. Felt like I was on the set of that 70’s show inside…

This is my favorite low cost, high quality lunch spot in the loop. Huge portions, many options, friendly fast service — it is just about perfect. Eggplant parm is my favorite, but I’ve liked everything I’ve tried.

Mmmmmm Avanti! Cheap. Fast. Mouth Watering. Friendly. Cozy. All of those words are what flood my mind whenever I think of Avanti Caffe in the Loop. This place is just perfect for a lunch in the city. Their prices are great, portions are huge, food is delightful, and the atmosphere is welcoming to say the least. I’ve tried multiple dishes from Avanti, and everything I’ve had was amazing. I’ve never had a bad experience here; believe me, I’ve been waiting to write this review to see if that changed. Their panini’s are large enough for 2 people to share, the subs are super yummy, and their pasta is out of this world. I mean, there’s not much else to say other than, I just don’t understand how someone could not like this place. It’s quick, no matter how long the line is. It’s cheap, for large portions and great food. It’s just great. Period. Oh, and Elsa G. wasn’t kidding about the tiramisu. It’s huge and delicious.

I truly enjoy almost everything at Avanti. The staff is great. Their panini’s are excellent… crispy and chewy and filled with great fresh ingredients. The soups are always top notch. Pizzas are good. They make v good salads and the fresh fruit selection is solid. I thought the lasagna was just ok but that’s the only thing I’d ever grade below average and I’ve eaten here 20+ times for lunch.

Got catering from Avanti at wework and this place is delicious! I chose to eat the meatballs, sausage and bowtie pasta. The sauces were delicious and the meats very flavorful. I will definitely be eating at Avanti again

Yes, I am so glad I tried this place. Definitely my new lunch spot in the loop. I was in the mood for a great panini, not a panera or corner bakery panini, so I check out Unilocal.Working only a few blocks from Avanti, I decided to check it out. The atmosphere here is wonderful. It feels cozy, has a decent amount of seating, and the workers were very friendly. Italian desserts filled the cooler up front, next to some freshly baked breads and bottled drinks. I grabbed a chicken mozzarella tostino(panini). It was priced right $ 7 after tax, and it filled me up. Food came fast and was absolutely delicious. Much much MUCH better than a generic«panini» from a chain. The chicken was tender, bread soft on the inside and not too crispy on the outside. Please do yourself a favor and try this place, I will be coming back right away!

The last few times I went I was very disappointed. Every time I go, I order a panini sandwich. Last week, I got the portabella and it was cold. MAD. Today I got the veggie, and there was literally two tiny artichokes in it and the«melted» cheese slid right off the bread. SOMAD.

I have used their catering services for several events in our home and I have to say everything has been top notch from the freshness, the presentation, delivery including the delivery staff. My guests rave about the food. I wish I could pass it off as my own but ha, no can do! Whether for a brunch, a luncheon or a football party, this place is the best. Seriously, I cannot recommend them any higher.

I was heading back East so I decided to indulge in one of my fave Chicago foods, the Italian Beef Sandwich. I was limited to restaurants within walking distance of Union Station. This shop came up quite a few times in my search and had very positive reviews. I hadn’t eaten lunch so I was quite hungry at 4:00 pm when I entered an almost empty Avanti. The beef came out quick and really really looked good. There was ample juice, tons of tender meat, and the right bread to transfer all that goodness to my mouth. On first bite, I almost cried. It was salty. I mean salt lick salty. I thought maybe I just hit a bad spot so I continued to take a couple more bites until my mouth began to sting from the sodium. I literally threw 2⁄3 of the sandwich away. Italian Beef is all about seasoning, but this salt overload was just crazy. I’ll stick to my other tried and true places for this Chicago classic.

WHERE’s THECHICKEN?! Went in today and got the large rotini chicken salad. It was a rotini salad, not even enough chicken to say they cut up one chicken strip. They must serve it out of a bowl of pre-made salad and all the chicken was gone or at the bottom of the batch. Needless to say, it was a carb loaded lunch… no protein.

solid sandwich place in the loop, i’ve only been here for breakfast though and cant comment on the lunch menu, but i was definitely pleased with what I got, the house blend and columbian coffee are both good and cheap, the sausage egg cheese croissant was all right, nothing special, but the ham egg and cheese wrap was really good, it was really big and filling and only $ 3.50, i would definitely recommend that. Hopefully one day I can get here for lunch

I am here now and I am eating the lentil soup and a vegetarian tostino. The food is beyond excellent and the customer service is beyond amazing. This place is family owned and is a major standout to the chains in the area!

Pizza and large Calzone are delicious here, also they are not over priced like other places in the area. Friendly, you can order a huge cannoli for parties.

This is definitely a gem of a restaurant in the loop. I’ve been avoiding it because I thought it was a small place, but it has tons of menu items that are amazing. I got the italian beef the first time I came here, and I thought it was probably better than Lukes, Maxs & Al’s Beef around the area. The hot giardiniera was actually surprisingly hot and left a good burn with the beef. I had the chicken parmesan sandwich next, and that was definitely worth it as well(would’ve liked more chicken though). I just had the meat lasagna, and this thing was the size of a newborn baby. It came out steaming and was very delicious, several people made comments of the amazing smell. I was able to finish it, but the crazy part was that they included bread and a salad to go with it. I had to give the salad away to a coworker since I was too stuffed. Bright side is that it looks like they use romaine lettuce w/their salad, so that’s pretty awesome. Pretty excited to try their other menu items.
