The pasta is good and so is the price. The small plate is bit pricy. Welcome to downtown.

A few friends and I came here for lunch and had a very tasty meal. Décor: They have the interior designed to reflect(what I imagine) an Italian market, which is cool. There are basically four options: salad, pizza, pasta, or sandwich. Each has its own line but they move rather quickly. There are a bunch of tables if you want to stay and eat and the place doesn’t get too over-crowded during the lunch hour. Bathroom: I didn’t use it during this visit. Staff: The sandwich maker guys and the cashiers are pretty friendly and very quick with their respective tasks — they help move people in and out quickly. Food: I’ve only had the sandwich station, so that is all I can comment on: The line never gets too long and the menu is right there for easy choice. I went with the Portofino(tuna salad sandwich) and it was very tasty. They ran it through the oven, which essentially made it a tuna melt, but the toppings still kept the taste out of the realm of «cheap tuna melt» taste. Additionally, I had a bag of chips and a water(they have big cups for free water! NICE!) Value: The portions are a big small given the prices… I’d like to see the sandwiches a bit larger. However, I think it has to do with the fact that all the meat is hormone free, etc. So, I get it. It’s a nice change to know you’re not ingesting a bunch of that crap. My friends are huge, HUGE fans of this place and I like it a lot as well. It’s in the standard rotation and I will be back many more times.

I really want to like this place. It’s super close to my office and I like to grab and go. However, I’ve had some bad luck with some recent orders that make me wary. I ordered the turkey sandwich and my lettuce was bad(brown and slimy). Considering they made the sandwich when I ordered it, the chef must not have been paying attention. Then I got their Hilltop salad to go, which is really delicious, and I found a fly halfway through the salad. Now I stick to their bagels.

The staff is always super nice and the ingredients are fresh. However, this setup in this place is a disaster. It is no wonder they are so disorganized and orders take so long.

I don’t normally write reviews, but this afternoon’s sandwich special warranted a writeup. Might be the WORSE excuse for a sandwich ever. When a sandwich says, Chicken Breast sandwich special, you would hope it would be SPECIAL, right? or at least have a chicken breast on it? No, it was sliced chicken deli meat, that was so hard and stale that I couldn’t bite through it, I even tried to tear it with my fingers, HORRIBLE. What a crock. I have had so many bad experiences with their sandwiches there, I can’t believe i was stupid enough to try it again. STUPID. I buy almost all of my breakfast and lunches at this place, because they are in the building, but they really do NOT do anything special here. And three side dishes of pasta/rice/chicken for $ 13.50, what a ripoff. I am so spitting mad right now.

This is a great place for a quick lunch. I really enjoy the antipasto selection. Everything always seems to be fresh. I’ve tried the pizzas, antipastos, salads, cookies, and brownies. Everything is tasty and resonably priced. They have a ton of seating, but it fills up quickly.

UGH. Never ordering from this place again. We sometimes get catering from here and people like it, so I called ahead for a salad to be ready at 11:15 today. Got there at 11:25, figured that if they were running a bit late it’d be ready by 11:25 at least. Asked for it at the counter, and was told it would be out shortly. Ten freaking minutes later, it STILL hasn’t come out. Instead I watch four people walk up and have people put together their salads in the time that I’m waiting. WHYTHEEFF did I call in if people were being served faster if they just walk up? No apologies from the staff, just the, «Yeah, we know,» when I ask if it’s ready because I’m STILL waiting. I complain again at the register and the cashier is like, «Uhhh I don’t know why it wasn’t ready… should I get a manager?» How about some initiative and just call over the manager instead of sitting there like«what should i do?» But the reason I called my order ahead of time was so I could save time by not having to wait around and to just be in and out… but that didn’t go to plan… so I had to rush back to the office for a meeting and didn’t have time to bitch to them again. It’s too bad because I thought it had a lot of options and was a close walk from my work, but NEVERAGAIN.

Sopraffina Pros — — Fresh ingredients — Healthy options — clean dining area — Tasty food(pretty much everything is good and is seasoned well) — Friendly staff — Excellent and reliable service for business lunches — Nice variety of options for vegans and vegetarians Cons — What cons there are none! ;) This is not a 4 or 5 star restaurant it’s just a place you go for lunch, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that it is very good.

Pizza and Pasta are great options for lunch. Always a hit with people here! It’s located inside the AT&T building in the Loop. Definitely an option whenever I want Italian food.

I go here for lunch 3 out of 5 times a week. Great food! Great selection! I am a fan of everything except for their salads, they never come out the way I want them, but everything else is delicious!

Really love this spot for lunch! No matter what you’re in the mood for you’re bound to find it here at Sopraffina. I would highly recommend the Number 1 Panini. It has artichoke hearts, tomatoes, basil, red peppers, and other delicious goodies on it-a yummy and healthy lunch! I agree with some other Unilocalers that the place is a little bit pricy for the amount of food you get, but it’s so convenient and good! If you have a craving for something sweet you grab a cookie here for an afternoon pick me up, they aren’t overly sweet and are perfectly soft and chewy. Certainly will be back!

I go here all the time during lunch as it is close to my work. It is a rad pricy but the ingredients are good. You can choose from so many stations. Sandwiches, salads, pizza, pastas. All good selections for lunch. Recently I have been getting the sandwiches. A half is pretty much all you need. The guys who work behind the counter are always friendly. One thing I always get is the lemonade. I love it! Especially because it is getting warmer out. It is always cold and good. If this place was a little cheaper I wi I L probably come here more.

I had phoned in a pick-up order last week for an important meeting this morning. When I went to get this on my way into the office I had totally forgotten my credit card. Thankfully the manager I was working with, assured me that I could phone it in later. Three cheers for that! I so totally wasn’t late for the meeting! Because of their awesome service I will be ordering from them again.

Decent lunch place with a good selection of items. I usually get their prepared chicken salad, kale with golden raisin, and Mediterranean salad Trio. It is fresh, quick, tastes good and healthy. The price is reasonable and quality is consistent. The servers and staff are pleasant and it’s a quick take out so I can get back to work. Not award winning but very convenient.

The steak tenderloin sandwhich and pasta salads are especially good and it’s a nice change of pace from the other lunch spots in the area. One can only do Roti, Freshii, & Protein Bar before one goes insane. However, it is definitely pricey and bonuses aren’t what they used to be…

Sopraffina Market Café is a wonderful mixture of various Italian foods and salads, mostly prepared as you wait. On some days, if the salad area has long of a line, I would opt for a pizza or sandwich, or something else. The choices are great and you are never at a loss to find something tasty and interesting. This location is also very convenient, since it’s near the Sear Tower and the CTA El. The concept is similar to ones found in other cities, including Minneapolis and Toronto. Sopraffina tried a suburban location a few years back in Deerfield, but for some reason it never took off and closed. The food at Sopraffina is great and everything is fresh. I’ve taken clients and friends here, and we’ve never been disappointed. Expect to pay just under $ 10.00, unless you’re very hungry and want to bring some back to the office for later. The only drawback is that it can get crowded sometimes. So, there’s always Potbelly’s down the block. Enjoy

The roast beef panini with red onions was a good — but all-in-all, it is a very typical Loop take-out joint. The dessert bars were tasty, though. IMO, though, Sopraffina is not nearly as good a Potbelly’s.

I ordered individual selections, using their online ordering, for 16 people with just under 2 hours notice. Everything was delivered hot/fresh and on time(within a 15 minute time window I specified). I had a salad which was good, lots of great fresh ingredients. The only complaint I have is that for people who wanted customized orders(ie changes to their salad or peppers left off a pizza) it seems like this was forgotten. So picky eaters beware! Also, using online ordering is a bit tedious for individual orders for a lot of people. One you hit two hours from your specified delivery time, you can’t add more items– I had to change my time to submit and then call and have the time moved up.

My sister took me here for lunch today and I’m very pleased and will definitely be going back. Much better food than similar places like Caffe Baci, Salad Spinners, or even Corner Bakery. They have a variety of salads, sandwiches, pizzas and pastas. I had the Italian Cobb salad with mixed greens, artichoke hearts, kalamata olives, sun-dried tomatoes, gorgonzola cheese, and hard boiled egg and it was delicious! Generous portions too. You can add chicken to any of the salads for $ 1.99, which I did, and I was even surprised with the generous amount of chicken they put in my salad. Overall, the salad cost me $ 10, which I guess is a bit pricey for salad but I’m used to paying a lot for lunch in the Loop. I also had a taste of the vegetarian stuffed jumbo shells with meat sauce and it was heavenly. Can’t believe I’m saying this about pasta from a café, but it really was good – better than I’ve had at some Italian restaurants. It tasted fresh and flavorful, not stale, or overcooked, or rubbery like you would find at other places. It is crowded during lunch, you may have to share a 6-top with others, but definitely worth a visit.
